water. Return the machine to service center
for examination and repair.
10. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
11. Do not wrap the cord around the machine.
12. Never block the air openings of the machine
or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed
or couch, where the air openings may be
blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint,
hair, and the like.
13. Never use while sleeping.

14. Never drop or insert any object into
any opening.
15. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
16. Do not use an extension cord with
this machine.
17. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.
18. The attachments may become hot during
use. Allow them to cool before handling.
19. Do not place the machine on any surface
while it is operating.
20. While using the machine, keep hair away
from the air inlets.
21. Do not operate with a voltage converter.
22. Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close
attention is necessary when used by or near
children. Children should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with
the machine.

OPERATING

23. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
machine has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other) as a safety feature.

This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician to install the
proper outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature and do not change the plug in
any way.
24. This machine is provided with a protective
device (ALCI- Appliance Leakage Circuit
Interrupter) that may make the machine
inoperable under some abnormal conditions
(such as immersion of the machine). If the
machine becomes inoperable, return the
machine to a service center for examination
and repair.
25. The machine has a reset and test button built
into the plug, which should be operated each
time the machine is plugged in and used. To
test: press the test button. The reset button
will pop out, indicating that the machine is
safe to use. To reset: unplug the machine
and press the reset button. Plug in again to
use your machine.
26. Note – If the ALCI trips while in use, the
machine should be unplugged. Press the
reset button and reinsert the plug into the
outlet. If the ALCI immediately trips for
a second time, unplug the machine and
contact the Dyson Helpline.
27. If the machine does not operate in the
proper functioning condition, it should be
discarded or returned to a service center for
examination and repair.

USER MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
28. Any other servicing should be performed by
an authorized service representative.
29. Storage – important. When not in use, the
machine should be unplugged, allowed to
cool and stored in a safe and dry location,
out of reach of children. Do not pull the cord
or wrap it around the machine. The cord
should hang down or lie loose and straight
at the entry point into the main body of
the machine.

To test: Plug in the machine
and press the ‘Test’ button.
The reset button will ‘click’
and pop out. If running, the
machine will stop working.
To reset the ALCI, unplug
and press ‘Reset’ button
and plug back in.

Slide the filter cleaning brush
over the cable and onto the

the majority of the excess water,
then leave to dry well naturally.

brush until all the debris has
been removed.
Do not use water or chemicals

and slide it onto the cable.

LIMITED 2 YEAR WARRANTY
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DYSON 2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
WHAT IS COVERED
• Your Dyson machine is warranted against original defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase, when used for
normal domestic purposes in accordance with the Dyson Operating Manual.
Please retain your proof of purchase. If you do not have your proof of purchase,
your warranty will start 90 days after the date of manufacture, according to
Dyson’s records. This warranty provides, at no extra cost to you, all labor and
parts necessary to ensure your machine is in proper operating condition during
the warranty period. The replacement of any part of your machine under
warranty will not extend the period of warranty. Any parts which are returned
and replaced by Dyson will become the property of Dyson. Please call the
Dyson Helpline at 1-866-277-4649 or more information.
• This warranty will only be valid if the machine is used in the country in which it
was sold.
• For refurbished machines, length of warranty may differ, please see warranty
letter included with machine for warranty terms.
This limited warranty is subject to the following terms:
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Dyson shall not be liable for costs, damages or repairs incurred as a result of,
due to, or from:
• Damage caused by not carrying out the recommended machine maintenance.
• Careless operation or handling, misuse, abuse and/or lack of maintenance or
use not in accordance with the Dyson Operating Manual.
• Use of the machine for anything other than the use it is designed for.
• Use of the machine outside of 'normal use' which is defined as more than 2
hours per day.
• Use of the machine in salons or by stylists.
• Use of parts not in accordance with the Dyson Operating Manual.
• Use of parts and accessories which are not genuine Dyson components.
• Faulty installation (except where installed by Dyson).
• Repairs or alterations carried out by unauthorized parties or agents.
• Normal wear and tear (e.g. fuse etc.).
If you are in any doubt as to what is covered by your warranty, please
contact Dyson.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
• Any implied warranties relating to your machine including but not limited to
warranty of merchantability or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, are
limited to the duration of this warranty. This limitation is not allowed by some
States, and so this limitation may not apply to you.

• Your remedy for breach of this warranty is limited to the warranty service
described below. Dyson will not be liable for any consequential damages
or incidental damages you may incur in connection with your purchase and
use of your machine. This limitation is not allowed by some States and so this
limitation may not apply to you.
• This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other
rights which vary by State.
• This limited warranty is not transferable.
WARRANTY SERVICE
• Before a service can take place, the terms of the warranty require that you
contact the Dyson Helpline with your model name/number, serial number, date
and place of purchase.
• Please keep your purchase receipt in a safe place to ensure that you have
this information.
• All work will be coordinated by Dyson or its authorized agents.
• Any replaced defective parts will become the property of Dyson.
• Service under this warranty will not extend the period of this warranty.
• If your machine is not functioning properly, please call the Dyson Helpline at
1-866-277-4649. Most issues can be rectified over the telephone by our
trained Customer Care staff.

FUNCIONAMIENTO
23. Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico,
esta máquina tiene un enchufe polarizado
(una clavija es más ancha que la otra)
como característica de seguridad. Este
enchufe encajará en un tomacorriente
polarizado de una sola manera. Si el
enchufe no entra completamente en el
tomacorriente, invierta su posición. Si aun
así no encaja correctamente, comuníquese
con un electricista calificado para instalar el
tomacorriente adecuado. No intente anular
la característica de seguridad y no modifique
el enchufe de ninguna manera.
24. Esta máquina está dotado de un dispositivo
de protección (ALCI, Interruptor de Circuito
por Fuga del Aparato) que puede hacer que
la máquina deje de funcionar en presencia
de ciertas condiciones anormales (por
ejemplo, inmersión de la máquina). Si deja
de funcionar, llévelo a un centro de servicio
para su inspección y reparación.
25. La máquina cuenta con un botón de reinicio
y prueba incluido en el enchufe, que debe
accionarse cada vez que se enchufa y
usa la máquina. Para realizar la prueba,
haga lo siguiente: Presione el botón de
prueba. El botón de reinicio emergerá, lo
que indica que el aparato puede ser usado
con seguridad. Para reiniciar: desenchufe
la máquina y presione el botón de reinicio.
Vuelva a enchufar la máquina para
poder usarlo.

26. Nota: si el ALCI se dispara mientras la
máquina está en uso, debe desenchufarse
la máquina. Presione el botón de
reinicio y vuelva a insertar el enchufe en
el tomacorriente. Si el ALCI se dispara
inmediatamente por segunda vez,
desenchufe la máquina y comuníquese con
