POST-OPERATION CHECKS
1) After removing the vehicle from the
water, put the vehicle in the horizontal
position.
2) Flush the cooling system to prevent it
from clogging up with salt, sand, or dirt.
(Refer to page 4-1 for flushing the cool-
ing system procedure.)
3) Lubricate the internal components by
performing “LUBRICATION” at page
4-3, if storing the vehicle for more than a
week.
4) Drain residual water from the exhaust sys-
tem by running the engine at 4,000 r/min
for a period of 10 to 15 seconds.
WARNING
Stay away from the stern when the
engine is running on load. Hot water and
steam spurting from exhaust outlet into
the air can cause serious burns.
CAUTION:
Do not run the engine over 4,000 r/min on
land. The catalytic converter could result
in serious damage.
5) Wash down the hull, deck, handlebar
and drive unit with fresh water.
