Movie Mode
For shooting movies (p. 102).
You can use the largest possible
portion of the screen to shoot movies
(p. 103). Even if the mode dial is set
to a position other than Movie mode,
movies can be shot by pressing the
movie button (pp. 31, 101).
Auto Mode
You can leave it to the camera
to select settings (p. 24).
P, Tv, Av, M Mode
You can make settings such as the
shutter speed and aperture value in order
to take the kind of picture you want
(pp. 70, 90, 91, 92).
Easy Mode
You can shoot just by pressing
the shutter button (p. 29).
Scene Mode
You can shoot with the best settings
for the scene (p. 54) or choose
settings yourself to take various
types of pictures (p. 55).
If you turn the mode dial while in Playback mode, the camera will switch to
Shooting mode.
