how to make homemade yogurt
1. Unwrap the unit and remove all packaging materials and discard or
recycle properly.
2. Make sure your power outlet is a North American standard 120V
supply.
3. Wipe the interior basin with a clean, damp cloth— DO NOT submerge
the device.
4. Handwash the top cover and rinse with clean water and dry
thoroughly.
5. Wash the glass jars and lids before rst use and dry thoroughly; they
are dishwasher-safe (top rack only) for easy cleaning.
Cleaning & Preparation:
1. Wash the jars and jar lids with warm water.
2. Do not boil the jars or lids for more than 1 minute.
3. Do not pour boiling water on the top cover or the appliance body.
Mixing Ingredients:
Option 1:
1 L refrigerated fresh milk + 1 packet of starter culture or 90g refrigerated
plain yogurt.
Option 2:
1 L shelf-stable (aseptic) milk + 1 packet of starter culture or 90g
refrigerated plain yogurt.
Option 3:
1 L reconstituted milk made from milk powder + 1 packet of starter culture
or 90g refrigerated plain yogurt.
background
Fermentation:
1. Pour the mixture into the glass jars, seal with the BPA-free jar lids and
place them in the basin. Add ½ to 1 inch of water in the basin and close
the top cover. Now you can start the machine.
2. Most store-bought yogurts are cultured for 6-10 hours at 100-115°F, so
start with 8 hours at 108°F and adjust the time and temperature based
on the results of your rst batch.
- Finished yogurt should appear rm, similar to soft tofu.
- A longer fermentation time creates a more tangy avor.
Chilling & Storage:
Freshly fermented yogurt can be enjoyed immediately, especially if you
prefer room-temperature foods.
For best taste and texture, place the jars in the refrigerator and chill
thoroughly before eating.
NOTE:
Adjust the amount of starter culture or plain yogurt proportionally to the
amount of milk you use.
If using milk powder, follow the correct ratio: 400 ml milk powder + 1100 ml
water.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and not expired.
For starter culture, follow the instructions provided with the culture packet.
CAUTION:
Fermentation time varies depending on room temperature and the initial
temperature of the milk.
Colder environments or refrigerated milk may require extra time, but do
not exceed 14 hours.
Using Warm Water in the Basin (Optional)
To shorten fermentation time and improve heat distribution, you may pour
warm water into the basin before placing the jars inside. This helps produce
smoother, more consistent yogurt.

Flavoring:
Add your favorite avors right before serving. Popular options include fruit
juice, honey, fresh fruit, or sweeteners. Refer to the included recipe book
for ideas and recipes that will help you enjoy your homemade yogurt.
CAUTION:
Store yogurt in the refrigerator for No More than 7 days.
For best quality and the highest activity of benecial bacteria, consume
within 3 days.
helpful tips
Spoilage Warning:
If excessive gas or a strong, unpleasant odor is produced after
fermentation, the milk or water may be contaminated. Discard the
yogurt. Proper yogurt should have a pudding-like texture, a slight
yellow sheen, and a mild sour taste.
Whey Separation:
Longer fermentation may produce more yellowish liquid (whey) and
a stronger sour avor. This is normal. Whey is nutritious and can be
consumed separately or mixed back into the yogurt.
Milk Selection:
Whole milk (fresh or powdered) is recommended for children. Low-fat
or skim milk may be used for those who prefer reduced-fat options.
Avoid avored milk. Adding a small amount of fructose may speed
fermentation.
Digestive Sensitivity:
If yogurt causes stomach discomfort, reduce intake to about 100 ml
per serving and gradually increase to 200–300 ml as tolerated.
