3) TURNING ON FOR THE FIRST TIME
Charge the SRD 1000SCL's internal battery to full before turning it on for the rst time.
Charging will take several hours. A fully charged battery will be indicated by an LED
labelled 100%. Turning on the available features is described in the individual chapters
of this user manual.
4) CHARGING
The SRD 1000SCL can be charged in three ways. We recommend using option a) for
fast and reliable charging. The battery status “Battery Status Indicator” is displayed by
the indicating: LEDs 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. The charging process will always be
indicated by the “Battery Charging Indicator” LED. The rst 75% of the battery will be
charged signicantly faster than the last 25% of the battery. Wait until the 100% indicator
stops ashing (the battery is fully charged).
a) USB-C
Remove the rubber cap and plug the USB-C cable into the device. Use your charging
adapter with minimum parameters of 5 V and 1 A. When charging is complete, disconnect
the USB-C cable and carefully seal the connectors with a rubber cap.
b) Hand crank
Pull the crank. When using the radio for the rst time, or if the radio has not been
used for more than 60 days, turn the crank clockwise or counter-clockwise for 3 to 5
minutes continuously to activate the built-in battery. If the battery is activated by turning
the crank, the battery is recharged.
c) Solar panel
Position the SRD 1000SCL so that the sun's rays fall directly on it. Charging with a solar
panel is not a full-edged charging source.
Caution: Avoid prolonged charging in the sun to avoid overheating the
SRD 1000SCL and subsequent damage.
5) POWER BANK FUNCTION
The SRD 1000SCL has a power bank function. Uncover the rubber cap and plug the
charging cable into the USB-A connector to start charging your device.
Re-cover the cap when charging is complete.
Caution: This function is only a supplementary function. Your mobile phone will not
be fully charged from the SRD 1000SCL's built-in battery. The USB-A port does not
have fast charging protocols.

6) LAMP
To switch on the lamp, press and hold the button. Simply press the button briey to
switch modes. There are 4 modes to choose from:
a) main LED – spotlight
b) side LED lamps
c) main LED – spot lamp and side LED lamps

7) READING LAMP
On the side of the telescopic antenna, there is a cut-out in the solar panel for a ngernail
to tilt the solar panel. By tilting the solar panel, the LED reading lamp automatically lights
up. Tilt the solar panel back to its original state to switch o the lamp.
8) SOS
By pressing and holding the SOS button, the device will emit an acoustic signal and the
lamp will ash. Press the button repeatedly to switch o the SOS function.
Caution: Use this function only when you need to call for help. The SOS function is
not a replacement for a certied device.
9) RADIO
a) Turn the volume control clockwise to switch on the radio and control the volume.
When the radio is switched on, the POW indicator lights up. To switch o the radio
function, turn the rotary switch anti-clockwise until the POW indicator clicks gently
and then goes out.
b) Use the “FM/AM switch” to select FM or AM with radio band. Pull out and rotate the
antenna for better signal reception.
c) Turn the “Radio tuning rotary switch” to select the radio station you want.
10) IPX4
The device is protected against splashing water (water is splashed on the device from
all angles, at a pressure of 50–150 kPa, at a rate of 10 litres per minute for at least
5 minutes).
Caution: Always remember to seal the inlets of the SRD 1000SCL (Nos. 15 and 16
in the “Device Description” gure) with the original sealing caps. Make sure the caps
are not damaged. Never charge the unit during possible contact with uids. The unit
is designed for contact with clean water only without any additives. Avoid exposing
the device to contaminated or industrially treated liquids (such as lemonade, sea/salt
water, oils, etc.).

The power supplied by the charging device shall be between
the minimum of 1 watt required by the radio device and
the maximum of 4 watts required to achieve the maximum
charging rate. The device supports USB - PD-type charging
adapters.
The adapter is not included with the accessories.

Dispose of used packaging material at the designated municipal waste disposal site.

Warranty conditions
Warranty card is not apart of the device packaging.
This product is warranted for the period of 24 months from the date of purchase to the end-user. Warranty
is limited to the following conditions. Warranty is referred only to the customer goods using for common
domestic use. The claim for service can be applied either at dealer’sshop where the product was bought, or
at below mentioned authorized service shops. The end-user is obligated to set up aclaim immediately when
the defects appeared but only till the end of warranty period. The end user is obligated to cooperate to certify
the claiming defects. Only completed and clean (according to hygienic standards) product will be accepted.
In case of eligible warranty claim the warranty period will be prolonged by the period from the date of claim
application till the date of taking over the product by end-user, or the date the end-user is obligated to take it
over. To obtain the service under this warranty, end-user is obligated to certify his claim with duly completed
following documents: receipt, certificate of warranty, certificate of installation.
This warranty is void especially if apply as follows:
Defects which were put on sale.
Wear-out or damage caused by common use.
The product was damaged by unprofessional or wrong installation, used in contrary to the applicable
instruction manual, used in contrary to legal enactment and common process of use or used for another
purpose which has been designed for.
The product was damaged by uncared-for or insufficient maintenance.
The product was damaged by dirt, accident of force majeure (natural disaster, fire, and flood).
Defects on functionality caused by low duality of signal, electromagnetic field interference etc.
The product was mechanically damaged (e.g. broken button, fall).
Damage caused by use of unsuitable media, fillings, expendable supplies (batteries) or by unsuitable
working conditions (e.g. high temperatures, high humidity, quakes).
Repair, modification or other failure action to the product by unauthorized person.
End-user did not prove enough his right to claim (time and place of purchase).
Data on presented documents differs from data on products.
Cases when the claiming product cannot be indentified according to the presented documents (e.g. the
serial number or the warranty seal has been damaged).
