Chapter 2 Wake Up the Device
You should wake up the device from the standby mode to enter the main page.
When you enable lock screen, you should draw the
paern/ enter pin to unlock the device.
Steps

Touch the screen to wake up the deivce.

Main Page Introducon
On the home page of the device, you can slide down from the upper-le corner to view
nocaon, or slide down from the upper-right corner to view Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Status, turn on/o
Do Not Disturb and Sildent Mode or adjust screen brightness, ringtone volume and call volume.

You can tap corresponding models on the main page to perform acons such as call resident/
room, view messages, live view remotely, download apps, arm or disarm the device etc..
Stay Mode
Tap to

There are three types of acons you can add inlcuding Acon, Delay and Scene.

You can also tap the message icon at the upper-right corner to view alarm event record and
unlock record.
Tap + icon to add room/device/scene.
Call Page
Tap to enter the call page.
Here you can view live view, call rooms/center, and select rooms to speak to.
Note
Tap at the upper-right corner to enter the page of capture log.
Tap at the upper-right corner to enter the page of video intercom sengs.
Applicaon Center
Tap to enter applicaon center.
Then you can tap + to install new applicaon.

Lock the Screen
Tap to lock the screen.

Slide dwon from the upper-right corner of the screen, you can set the device easily.

Tap to enable or disable the Do Not Disturb funcon.
Wi-Fi
Tap to enable or disable the Wi-Fi funcon, and you can connect to wireless network.

Silent Mode
Tap to enable/disable silent mode.
Note
When enabled silent mode, you won't be able to adjust ring volume.
If you slide to adjust ring volume, silent mode will be automacally o.
Bluetooth
Tap to enable/disable bluetooth.
Adjust Brightness
Slide to adjust the brightness of the screen.
Adjust Device Volume
Slide to adjust the volume of the device.
Adjust Ring Volume
Slide to adjust the volume of the ring.
Note
When enabled silent mode, you won't be able to adjust ring volume.

Chapter 4 Operaon via PC Web
4.1 Login
You can login via the web browser or the remote conguraon of the client soware.
Note
Make sure the device is acvated.
Login via Web Browser
Enter the device IP address in the address bar of the web browser and press Enter to enter the
login page.
Enter the device user name and the password. Click Login.
Login via Remote
Conguraon of Client Soware
Download and open the client soware. Aer adding the device, click to enter the Conguraon
page.
4.2 Forget Password
If you forget the password when logging in, you can change the password by email address or
security
quesons. Only some models support this funcon.
On the login page, click Forget Password.
Select
Vericaon Mode.
Security Queson Vericaon
Answer the security quesons.
E-mail Vericaon
1. Export the QR code and send it to pw_rec[email protected] as aachment.
2. You will receive a vericaon code within 5 minutes in your reserved email.
3. Enter the vericaon code into the vericaon code eld to verify your idencaon.
Click Next, create a new password and conrm it.

You can view linked device, network status and basic
informaon. You can also click on related

Click on Wired Network, Hik-Connect or VoIP to congure.
Basic Informaon
You can view the model, serial No. and rmware version.

Both non-Plug-in live view and live view aer downing plug-in are available. For beer live view,
downloading plug-in for live view is recommended.

4.6 Modify Password
Steps
1.
Click admin → Modify Password .
2.
Enter the admin password and new password, and then conrm your new password.
3.
Click Save to complete the
sengs. Click Cancel to discard the sengs.
4.7 Logout
Log out the account.
Click admin → Logout → OK to logout.

Operaon via Web Browser
4.8.1 Select Language
You can select a language for the device system.
Click
in the top right of the web page to enter the Device Language Sengs page. You can
select a language for the device system from the drop-down list.
By default, the system language is English.
Note
Aer you change the system language, the device will reboot automacally.
4.8.2 Time Sengs
Click in the top right of the web page to enter the wizard page. Aer seng device language,
you can click Next to enter the Time
Sengs page.
Time Zone
Select the device located me zone from the drop-down list.

Used to connect to the central management server, enabling remote management, alarm

4.9 Device Management
Device management includes adding device, eding device, and deleng device, and so on.
Click Device Management → Device Management → Device Management to enter this page.

your password regularly, especially in the high security system, changing the password monthly
or weekly can
beer protect your product.
Proper conguraon of all passwords and other security sengs is the responsibility of the
service provider and/or end-user.

Enable/Disable HTTP
Enable the HTTP funcon to improve the broswer's vising security.

Enable/Disable SSH via Web Browser
You can enable SSH to perform remote debugging.
Click System and Maintenance → Maintenance → Device Debugging → Log for Debugging.
Enable SSH
SSH is used for remote debugging. When you don’t need to use this service, it’s recommended
to disable SSH to improve security.
Ping Network
You can check the plaorm network is normal or not via ping test.
Steps

You can search and view the device logs.
Go to Maintenance and Security → Maintenance → Security Audit Log .
Set the major and minor type of the log type. Set the start me and end me for searching, and
click Search.
The results will be displayed below, which including the No.,
me, the major type the minor type,
the channel No., the local/remote user
informaon, the remote host IP, etc.

You can enable Auto Unlock.
Then you can choose which lock to operate auto unlock and

Do Not Disturb Sengs
You can slide to enable Do Not Disturb Sengs. Then you can choose Do Not Disturb Device.

If enabled, you won't receive any nocaons or calls all day.
Message
Slide to enable Message.
Then you can set the Message Retenon Time.
Note
You can slide to enable Auto Answer based on your need. When another terminal calls this
device and the calling device is set to auto answer, you can set the auto answer me. Aer the
set me ends, this device will automacally answer.
Records will be
automacally deleted once exceeded the retenon me.
Auto Capture
Slide to enable Auto Capture. Then you can set the Captured Picture Retenon Time.
Note
You can set the retenon me as 1 day, 7 days or 30 days.

Live View Sengs
Tap Video Intercom → Live View Sengs to enter the page.

Blocklist
Tap Video Intercom → Contact in the Blocklist to enter the page.
You can silde to enable Blocklist.
Once enabled, the contacts in the blocklist won't be able to call the device.
If you want to add blocked contact, you can tap + at the upper-right corner. Then you can
choose from Add From Contact or Add New Blocked Contact.
Note
If you choose Add New Blocked Contact, then you will need to enter the name and call No. of
the new blocked contact manually.
You can also choose tap Add as VoIP Contact based on your actual needs.
5.7 Custom the Lockscreen Background
You can customize the lockscreen background of the device.

There are 3 ringtones by default, and you can custom and import at most 4 ringtones via
Batch Conguraon Tool or iVMS-4200 Client Soware.
Ringtone Duraon: The maximum duraon of indoor staon when it is called without being
accepted. Ringtone
duraon ranges from 30 s to 60 s.
Intercom Volume
Drag the bar to adjust intercom vlolume.
Voice Changer
You can change your voice when speaking. Original Voice is your own voice, Uncle Voice and
Clown Voice are two voice changers you can choose from.
Call Forwarding Sengs
The ring duraon limit beyond which the call is automacally forwarded to the mobile phone
designated by the resident. Call forwarding ranges from 0 s to 20 s.
Auto Unlock
You can choose which lock to operate auto unlock and
congure the auto unlock door period.
Tap OK to save your conguraons.
Note
Once enabled, the indoor staon will unlock automacally when receiving call from the main
staon.
Other Sengs
You can set the Do Not Disturb and Auto-answer funcons.
Message
Slide to enable Message. Then you can set the Message Retenon Time.
Messages stored in this device will be automacally deleted once exceed the set me.
Auto Answer
Enable Auto Answer. Aer enabling, the call from door staon/villa door staon will be
answered by the indoor
staon automacally. The caller from door staon/villa door
staon can leave voice messages. Aer the message is le, you can check it from Message
on the main page of the device.
Note
Before enabling Auto Answer, the funcon of Message needs to be enabled.
Do Not Disturb Device
Select All and all devices will not disturb this device. Select Indoor Staon and all indoor
staon will not disturb this device.

This funcon can only help to block indoor staons in other rooms. Within the same room,
the indoor staon and extension can't be blocked.
Do Not Disturb All Day
Slide to enable and this device will not be disturbed all day.
Auto Capture
Slide to enable this
funcon. Then the device will automacally capture a picture when
receive a call.
You can also set Captured Picture Retenon Time.
Captured pictures stored in this device will be automacally deleted once exceed the set

Note
Indoor Extension does not support the ring duraon sengs, or call forwarding sengs.
5.10.2 Volume Sengs
Set the microphone volume, prompt sound volume, call volume, and enable touch sound.

Tap Sengs → Sound to enter the volume sengs page.
2.
Drag the bar to adjust Media Volume, Call & Nocaon Volume.
3.
You can also slide to enable Touchscreen Volume.
Note
You can hear the key sound once enabled.
4.
To carry out Sound Test. Tap Sound Test and select the device (microphone or speaker) you want
to test.

Tap OK. Then you can see a prompt. Follow the
instrucon on the screen. Say a sentence to
check if there is any sound output.
5.11 Set Bluetooth
Tap
Sengs → Bluetooth to enter the page.
Slide to enable Bluetooth.

When bluetooth is enabled in the sengs, the device can be found as 9 serires scenario control

5.12.1 Set Linked Device IP
Linked network parameters refers to the network parameters of devices (like door staon,
doorphone, main staon, center, etc.), to which the indoor staon is linked. Linked devices for the
indoor staon refers to door staon, center, main staon, and doorphone.
Before You Start
Wake up the device. Refers to
Wake Up the Device for details.
Steps
Note
Here take door staon network sengs as example.
1.
On the main page of the device, tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs → Device Conguraon to
enter the device management page.

Admin password is required to enter the advanced sengs page.
2.
Select the device as Indoor Staon or Indoor Extension.
3.
Tap Main Door Staon to pop up the device informaon dialog.
Restore the door
staon via indoor

Tap to restore the parameters of the door

Modify the IP address of the linked

For dierent scenarios, you can congure dierent sengs for your main door staon and sub

For example, if a door staon is installed in a security room or outer door, it only allows
opening one lock. If installed at a resident's entrance or inner door, it can have access to open
two locks. There are also cases in which the door staon does not connect to any locks, and
the opon to display lock at the call page is not required.
5.12.3 SIP Sengs
Devices can communicate with each other via SIP protocol. You create set the SIP register
password, and set VIOP account.
Steps
1.
Tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs , and enter admin (acvaon) password.
2.
Tap Video Intercom → VoIP
Sengs .
3.
Slide to enable VOIP.
4.
Set SIP
registraon password.
1) Tap Registraon Password.

5.12.4 Set Indoor Staon Network Parameters
Network connecon is mandatory for the use of the indoor staon. Set the network parameters
aer acvang the indoor staon. Only when the IP address of the indoor staon is in the same
network segment as other devices, it can work properly in the same system.

Duress Code
When you are hijacked and forced to open the door, you can enter the duress code. An alarm
will be triggered to nofy the management center secretly.
Note
The duress code and the unlock password cannot be the same.

Indoor Extension only supports admin password and arm/disarm password.

Enter 【0-indoor extension No.】 on the indoor extension to start calling the target indoor extension.
6.1.5 Receive Call
The indoor staon and indoor extension can receive calls from the door staon, the main staon or
iVMS-4200 Client.
On the call from door
staon interface, there are 2 unlock buons: Unlock 1, and Unlock 2. When
you tap Unlock 1, the building gate will open by default, and when you tap Unlock 2, the door
connected to the door
staon with the secure control door unit will open.
Tap the capture buon to capture the live view picture when speaking with the door staon. And
prompts "Captured" will display on the screen.
Indoor extension can receive calls from the door
staon and the main staon only.
6.1.6 View Call Logs
Before You Start
Wake up the device. Refers to Wake Up the Device for details.

6.3 Arm/Disarm
The indoor staon has four kinds of scene modes: sleeping mode, stay mode, away mode, and
custom mode. You can arm or disarm your room in each scene mode manually. The selected scene
mode will be displayed on the main page of the indoor staon.

You should create an Arm/Disarm Password rst.
6.3.1 Arm Room
Select the arm mode to arm your room.

6.6 Mode Introducon
There are 3 modes by default.
At the main page, you can see the icon of the three modes: Stay mode, away mode and sleeping
mode.
You can tap corresponding icons to set the device as certain mode.
If you want to see details
informaon or if you want to edit any of the modes, you can simply tap
the mode to enter the informaon page.
Note
You need to add acon(s) rst if you want to carry out any of the three modes.

Chapter 7 Client Soware Conguraon
7.1 Device Management
Device management includes adding device, eding device, and deleng device, and so on.
Click Device Management → Device Management → Device Management to enter this page.

Click +Add to add device.
You need to enter basic informaon including device password, registraon password and serial
No., network parameters including IP address, IPv4 subnet mask, IPv4 default gateway and port,
and extension No.

You can also click Import or Export to import/export the devices in batch.
Note
You can import the devices in batch via the excel. You can also download the template on the
website.
●
Click to edit device.
You can edit basic informaon including device password, registraon password and serial No.,
network parameters including IP address, IPv4 subnet mask, IPv4 default gateway and port, and
extension No.
Click Save to save the changes.
7.1.1 Add Video Intercom Devices

You can add at most 512 indoor staons and main staons in total to the client, and add at most
16 door staons to the client.
●
For video intercom devices, you are required to create the password to acvate them before
they can be added to the
soware and work properly.
●
You can add online video intercom devices, and add them manually. Here take adding online
video intercom devices as example.

Click Maintenance and Management → Device Management to enter the device management
page.

1) You can click Refresh Every 60s to refresh the informaon of the online devices.
2) Select the devices to be added from the list.
3) Click Add to Client to add the device to the client.

Input the required
informaon.
Nickname
Edit a name for the device as you want.
Address
Input the device's IP address. The IP address of the device is obtained automacally in this
adding mode.
Port
Input the device port No. The default value is 8000.
User Name
Input the device user name. By default, the user name is admin.
Password
Input the device password.

Oponal: You can check the checkbox Export to Group to create a group by the device name. All
the channels of the device will be imported to the corresponding group by default.
The client also provides a method to add the
oine devices. Check the checkbox Add Oine
Device, input the required informaon and the device channel number and alarm input number,
and then click Add. When the oine device comes online, the soware will connect it
automacally.
Note
●
Add Mulple Online Devices: If you want to add mulple online devices to the client soware,
click and hold Ctrl key to select mulple devices, and click Add to Client to open the device
adding dialog box. In the pop-up message box, enter the user name and password for the
devices to be added.
●
Add All the Online Devices: If you want to add all the online devices to the client soware,
click Add All and click OK in the pop-up message box. Then enter the user name and password
for the devices to be added.
7.1.2 Modify Network Informaon
Select the device from the device list, click , and then you can modify the network informaon
of the selected device.

You should enter the admin password of the device in the Password eld of the pop-up window to
modify the parameters.
7.2 System Conguraon
You can congure the video intercom parameters accordingly.

Enter the required informaon.
Ringtone
Click ... and select the audio le from the local path for the ringtone of indoor staon.
Oponally, you can click for a tesng of the audio le.
Max. Ring Duraon
Input the maximum duraon of the ringtone, ranging from 15 seconds to 60 seconds.
Max. Speaking
Duraon with Indoor Staon
Input the maximum duraon of speaking with the indoor staon, ranging from 120 seconds
to 600 seconds.
Max. Speaking Duraon with Door Staon
Input the maximum duraon of speaking with the door staon, ranging from 90 seconds to
120 seconds.

Click Save to save the
sengs.
7.3 Remote
Conguraon
In the device list area, select a device and click to enter the remote conguraon page.
7.3.1 System
Click System on the remote conguraon page to display the device informaon: Device

You can click Unlock on the menu to open the door remotely.

7.7 View Call Logs
You can check all the call logs, including dialed call logs, received call logs and missed call logs. You
can also directly dial via the log list and clear the logs.
Steps
1.
On the main page, click Access Control → Video Intercom to enter the Video Intercom page.
2.
Click the Call Log tab to enter the Call Log page. All the call logs will display on this page and you
can check the log
informaon, e.g., call status, start me, resident's organizaon and name,
device name and ring or speaking duraon.

7.8 Release
Noce
You can create dierent types of noces and send them to the residents. Four noce types are

Click Send to send the edited noce to the selected resident(s). The sent noce informaon will
display on the le panel. You can click a noce to view the details on the right panel.
7.9 Search Video Intercom
Informaon
You can search the call logs between the iVMS-4200 client soware and video intercom devices,
device unlocking logs and the sent noce informaon.
On the main page, click Access Control to enter the access control module.
In the Access Control module, click Video Intercom to enter the Video Intercom page.

On the main page, click Access Control → Video Intercom to enter the Video Intercom page.

7.9.2 Search Noce
Steps
1.
On the main page, click Access Control → Video Intercom to enter the Video Intercom page.

Noce to enter the Noce page.

Set the search condions, including noce type, subject, recipient, start me and end me.
Recipient
Input the recipient informaon in the Recipient eld to search the specied noce.
Subject
Input the keywords in the Subject eld to search the matched noce.
Type
Click to unfold the drop-down list and select the noce type as Adversing Informaon,
Property Informaon, Alarm Informaon or Noce Informaon. Or select All to search
noces with all types.

Oponal: You can click Reset to reset all the congured search condions.

Click Search and all the matched noces will display on this page.

Check the detailed informaon of searched noces, such as sending me, sending status, etc.
