Chapter 2 Wake Up the Device
You should wake up the device from the standby mode to enter the main page.
When you enable lock screen, you should draw the
paern/ enter pin to unlock the device.
Steps
1.
Touch the screen to wake up the deivce.
2.
Draw the
paern/ enter the pin to unlock the device.
Note
Tap Admin Password. Then you can also choose to use admin password to unlock the device.
Tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs and enter admin password, then you can silde to disable
Lock Screen..

Wake up the device. Refers to Wake Up the Device for details.
Main Page Introducon
On the home page of the device, you can slide down from the upper-le corner to view
nocaon, or slide down from the upper-right corner to view Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Status, turn on/o
Do Not Disturb and Sildent Mode or adjust screen brightness, ringtone volume and call volume.

Main Page
You can tap corresponding models on the main page to perform acons such as call resident/
room, view messages, live view remotely, download apps, arm or disarm the device etc..
Stay Mode
Tap to
to add acons you want the device to perform when you tap Stay Mode.
Note
There are three types of acons you can add inlcuding Acon, Delay and Scene.
For more details about these three types of acons, you can refer to the examples on your
actal devives.
Away Mode
Tap to add acons you want the device to perform when you tap Away Mode.

Sleeping Mode
Tap to add acons you want the device to perform when you tap Sleeping Mode.

There are three types of acons you can add inlcuding Acon, Delay and Scene.

Scene Shortcut
Tap to add manual scene shortcuts.
Note
It's recommended to add manual scene rst before you perform this acon. So you can
directly select already added scenes cards from the list.
Overview
Tap to enter the overview page.
Here you can view how many rooms, devices and scenes have been added to this device.
Note
You can also tap the message icon at the upper-right corner to view alarm event record and
unlock record.
Tap + icon to add room/device/scene.
Call Page
Tap to enter the call page.
Here you can view live view, call rooms/center, and select rooms to speak to.
Note
Tap at the upper-right corner to enter the page of capture log.
Tap at the upper-right corner to enter the page of video intercom sengs.
Applicaon Center
Tap to enter applicaon center.
Then you can tap + to install new applicaon.
Note
You many need a TF card to complete this step.
The TF card slot is at the le boom of the device.

you would see detailed introducon about intallaon methods and a picture that shows the

at the upper-right corner, enter admin password to enter the page of advanced
sengs.

Tap to enter the page of video intercom sengs.

There are some other shortcuts to visit this page. You can refer to the notes above for reference.
Lock the Screen
Tap to lock the screen.
Shortcut Control Center
Slide dwon from the upper-right corner of the screen, you can set the device easily.

Do Not Disturb
Tap to enable or disable the Do Not Disturb funcon.
Wi-Fi
Tap to enable or disable the Wi-Fi funcon, and you can connect to wireless network.

Silent Mode
Tap to enable/disable silent mode.
Note
When enabled silent mode, you won't be able to adjust ring volume.
If you slide to adjust ring volume, silent mode will be automacally o.
Bluetooth
Tap to enable/disable bluetooth.
Adjust Brightness
Slide to adjust the brightness of the screen.
Adjust Device Volume
Slide to adjust the volume of the device.
Adjust Ring Volume
Slide to adjust the volume of the ring.
Note
When enabled silent mode, you won't be able to adjust ring volume.
If you slide to adjust ring volume, silent mode will be automacally o.

Chapter 4 Operaon via PC Web
4.1 Login
You can login via the web browser or the remote conguraon of the client soware.
Note
Make sure the device is acvated.
Login via Web Browser
Enter the device IP address in the address bar of the web browser and press Enter to enter the
login page.
Enter the device user name and the password. Click Login.
Login via Remote
Conguraon of Client Soware
Download and open the client soware. Aer adding the device, click to enter the Conguraon
page.
4.2 Forget Password
If you forget the password when logging in, you can change the password by email address or
security
quesons. Only some models support this funcon.
On the login page, click Forget Password.
Select
Vericaon Mode.
Security Queson Vericaon
Answer the security quesons.
E-mail Vericaon
1. Export the QR code and send it to pw_rec[email protected] as aachment.
2. You will receive a vericaon code within 5 minutes in your reserved email.
3. Enter the vericaon code into the vericaon code eld to verify your idencaon.
Click Next, create a new password and conrm it.
4.3 Overview
You can view linked device, network status and basic
informaon. You can also click on related
parameters to
congure.

You can check if the device is working properly. You can also see indoor staon, online and
oine device numbers.
Click View More to view the detailed component status. It will lead you to Device Management
page.
Network Status
You can view the network
connecon status.
Note
Click on Wired Network, Hik-Connect or VoIP to congure.
Basic Informaon
You can view the model, serial No. and rmware version.
Note
Click on related parameters to check detailed informaon.
4.4 Download Web Plug-In
Both non-Plug-in live view and live view aer downing plug-in are available. For beer live view,
downloading plug-in for live view is recommended.

→ Download Web Pug-In to download the pulg-in to the local.

You can enable Auto Unlock.
Then you can choose which lock to operate auto unlock and

Do Not Disturb Sengs
You can slide to enable Do Not Disturb Sengs. Then you can choose Do Not Disturb Device.

If enabled, you won't receive any nocaons or calls all day.
Message
Slide to enable Message.
Then you can set the Message Retenon Time.
Note
You can slide to enable Auto Answer based on your need. When another terminal calls this
device and the calling device is set to auto answer, you can set the auto answer me. Aer the
set me ends, this device will automacally answer.
Records will be
automacally deleted once exceeded the retenon me.
Auto Capture
Slide to enable Auto Capture. Then you can set the Captured Picture Retenon Time.
Note
You can set the retenon me as 1 day, 7 days or 30 days.

Blocklist
Tap Video Intercom → Contact in the Blocklist to enter the page.
You can silde to enable Blocklist.
Once enabled, the contacts in the blocklist won't be able to call the device.
If you want to add blocked contact, you can tap + at the upper-right corner. Then you can
choose from Add From Contact or Add New Blocked Contact.
Note
If you choose Add New Blocked Contact, then you will need to enter the name and call No. of
the new blocked contact manually.
You can also choose tap Add as VoIP Contact based on your actual needs.
5.7 Custom the Lockscreen Background
You can customize the lockscreen background of the device.

Batch Conguraon Tool or iVMS-4200 Client Soware.
Ringtone Duraon: The maximum duraon of indoor staon when it is called without being
accepted. Ringtone
duraon ranges from 30 s to 60 s.
Intercom Volume
Drag the bar to adjust intercom vlolume.
Voice Changer
You can change your voice when speaking. Original Voice is your own voice, Uncle Voice and
Clown Voice are two voice changers you can choose from.
Call Forwarding Sengs
The ring duraon limit beyond which the call is automacally forwarded to the mobile phone
designated by the resident. Call forwarding ranges from 0 s to 20 s.
Auto Unlock
You can choose which lock to operate auto unlock and
congure the auto unlock door period.
Tap OK to save your conguraons.
Note
Once enabled, the indoor staon will unlock automacally when receiving call from the main
staon.
Other Sengs
You can set the Do Not Disturb and Auto-answer funcons.
Message
Slide to enable Message. Then you can set the Message Retenon Time.
Messages stored in this device will be automacally deleted once exceed the set me.
Auto Answer
Enable Auto Answer. Aer enabling, the call from door staon/villa door staon will be
answered by the indoor
staon automacally. The caller from door staon/villa door
staon can leave voice messages. Aer the message is le, you can check it from Message
on the main page of the device.
Note
Before enabling Auto Answer, the funcon of Message needs to be enabled.
Do Not Disturb Device
Select All and all devices will not disturb this device. Select Indoor Staon and all indoor
staon will not disturb this device.

This funcon can only help to block indoor staons in other rooms. Within the same room,
the indoor staon and extension can't be blocked.
Do Not Disturb All Day
Slide to enable and this device will not be disturbed all day.
Auto Capture
Slide to enable this
funcon. Then the device will automacally capture a picture when
receive a call.
You can also set Captured Picture Retenon Time.
Captured pictures stored in this device will be automacally deleted once exceed the set

Note
Indoor Extension does not support the ring duraon sengs, or call forwarding sengs.
5.10.2 Volume Sengs
Set the microphone volume, prompt sound volume, call volume, and enable touch sound.
Steps
1.
Tap Sengs → Sound to enter the volume sengs page.
2.
Drag the bar to adjust Media Volume, Call & Nocaon Volume.
3.
You can also slide to enable Touchscreen Volume.
Note
You can hear the key sound once enabled.
4.
To carry out Sound Test. Tap Sound Test and select the device (microphone or speaker) you want
to test.
5.
Tap OK. Then you can see a prompt. Follow the
instrucon on the screen. Say a sentence to
check if there is any sound output.
5.11 Set Bluetooth
Tap
Sengs → Bluetooth to enter the page.
Slide to enable Bluetooth.
Note
When bluetooth is enabled in the sengs, the device can be found as 9 serires scenario control

5.12 Advanced Sengs
5.12.1 Set Linked Device IP
Linked network parameters refers to the network parameters of devices (like door staon,
doorphone, main staon, center, etc.), to which the indoor staon is linked. Linked devices for the
indoor staon refers to door staon, center, main staon, and doorphone.
Before You Start
Wake up the device. Refers to
Wake Up the Device for details.
Steps
Note
Here take door staon network sengs as example.
1.
On the main page of the device, tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs → Device Conguraon to
enter the device management page.
Note
Admin password is required to enter the advanced sengs page.
2.
Select the device as Indoor Staon or Indoor Extension.
3.
Tap Main Door Staon to pop up the device informaon dialog.
Restore the door
staon via indoor
staon.
Tap to restore the parameters of the door
staon.
Modify the IP address of the linked
door staon.
Tap to modify the IP address of door staon.
4.
Select the device to link. Edit the network parameters.

You can tap Main Doorphone, Center, Indoor Extension or Private SIP Server IP to congure

Swch to choose whether to display locks on the call page or preview page and how many locks
to be displayed.
Note
You can choose to display one of the locks, two locks or none on the page.
For dierent scenarios, you can congure dierent sengs for your main door staon and sub
door staonor.
For example, if a door staon is installed in a security room or outer door, it only allows
opening one lock. If installed at a resident's entrance or inner door, it can have access to open
two locks. There are also cases in which the door staon does not connect to any locks, and
the opon to display lock at the call page is not required.
5.12.3 SIP Sengs
Devices can communicate with each other via SIP protocol. You create set the SIP register
password, and set VIOP account.
Steps
1.
Tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs , and enter admin (acvaon) password.
2.
Tap Video Intercom → VoIP
Sengs .
3.
Slide to enable VOIP.
4.
Set SIP
registraon password.
1) Tap Registraon Password.
2) Create a new SIP register
registraon password and conrm the password.
3) Tap OK.
5.
Oponal: Congure the account informaon, including the user name, the phone number, the
registered user name, the password, the domain, the port No., and the expiraon date.
Note
Up to 32 characters are allowed in the user name.
5.12.4 Set Indoor Staon Network Parameters
Network connecon is mandatory for the use of the indoor staon. Set the network parameters
aer acvang the indoor staon. Only when the IP address of the indoor staon is in the same
network segment as other devices, it can work properly in the same system.

Two ways are available for you to set IP address: DHCP, and set IP address manually.

Enable DHCP, then the indoor staon can search and get an IP address automacally.

composed of the oor No. and the room No.
The indoor extension No. should be a numeric from 1 to 15.
Up to 15 indoor extensions can be set for 1 indoor
staon.

On the home page of device, tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs → Video Intercom → Device
Conguraon to enter the indoor staon No. sengs page.

Arm/Disarm sengs page is hidden by default. Tap Sengs → Advanced Sengs to enable
Zone Alarm funcons, and you can edit the alarm parameters.
Duress Code
When you are hijacked and forced to open the door, you can enter the duress code. An alarm
will be triggered to nofy the management center secretly.
Note
The duress code and the unlock password cannot be the same.

Create a new password and conrm it.
4.
Tap OK to save the sengs.
Note
Indoor Extension only supports admin password and arm/disarm password.

Brightness Adjustment

At this page, you can choose from Restore to Factory Sengs or Restore Default Parameters.

When the doorbell zone is triggered, the device will ring but not upload the alarm signal.
Arming mode sengs should be congured with the sengs of arming status on the user
page of the device.

6.1.5 Receive Call
The indoor staon and indoor extension can receive calls from the door staon, the main staon or
iVMS-4200 Client.
On the call from door
staon interface, there are 2 unlock buons: Unlock 1, and Unlock 2. When
you tap Unlock 1, the building gate will open by default, and when you tap Unlock 2, the door
connected to the door
staon with the secure control door unit will open.
Tap the capture buon to capture the live view picture when speaking with the door staon. And
prompts "Captured" will display on the screen.
Indoor extension can receive calls from the door
staon and the main staon only.
6.1.6 View Call Logs

There are 3 modes by default.
At the main page, you can see the icon of the three modes: Stay mode, away mode and sleeping
mode.
You can tap corresponding icons to set the device as certain mode.
If you want to see details

Chapter 7 Client Soware Conguraon
7.1 Device Management
Device management includes adding device, eding device, and deleng device, and so on.
Click Device Management → Device Management → Device Management to enter this page.

Click +Add to add device.
You need to enter basic informaon including device password, registraon password and serial
No., network parameters including IP address, IPv4 subnet mask, IPv4 default gateway and port,
and extension No.
You can also click Import or Export to import/export the devices in batch.
Note
You can import the devices in batch via the excel. You can also download the template on the
website.
Click to edit device.
You can edit basic informaon including device password, registraon password and serial No.,
network parameters including IP address, IPv4 subnet mask, IPv4 default gateway and port, and
extension No.
Click Save to save the changes.
7.1.1 Add Video Intercom Devices
Steps
Note
You can add at most 512 indoor staons and main staons in total to the client, and add at most
16 door staons to the client.
For video intercom devices, you are required to create the password to acvate them before
they can be added to the
soware and work properly.
You can add online video intercom devices, and add them manually. Here take adding online
video intercom devices as example.
1.
Click Maintenance and Management → Device Management to enter the device management
page.

Click the Device tap.

To add online devices to the soware, you are required to change the device IP address to the

1) You can click Refresh Every 60s to refresh the informaon of the online devices.
2) Select the devices to be added from the list.
3) Click Add to Client to add the device to the client.

Input the required
informaon.
Nickname
Edit a name for the device as you want.
Address
Input the device's IP address. The IP address of the device is obtained automacally in this
adding mode.
Port
Input the device port No. The default value is 8000.
User Name
Input the device user name. By default, the user name is admin.
Password
Input the device password.

Oponal: You can check the checkbox Export to Group to create a group by the device name. All
the channels of the device will be imported to the corresponding group by default.
The client also provides a method to add the
oine devices. Check the checkbox Add Oine
Device, input the required informaon and the device channel number and alarm input number,
and then click Add. When the oine device comes online, the soware will connect it
automacally.
Note
Add Mulple Online Devices: If you want to add mulple online devices to the client soware,
click and hold Ctrl key to select mulple devices, and click Add to Client to open the device
adding dialog box. In the pop-up message box, enter the user name and password for the
devices to be added.
Add All the Online Devices: If you want to add all the online devices to the client soware,
click Add All and click OK in the pop-up message box. Then enter the user name and password
for the devices to be added.
7.1.2 Modify Network Informaon
Select the device from the device list, click , and then you can modify the network informaon
of the selected device.

You should enter the admin password of the device in the Password eld of the pop-up window to
modify the parameters.
7.2 System Conguraon
You can congure the video intercom parameters accordingly.

Ringtone
Click ... and select the audio le from the local path for the ringtone of indoor staon.
Oponally, you can click for a tesng of the audio le.

Input the maximum duraon of the ringtone, ranging from 15 seconds to 60 seconds.
Max. Speaking
Duraon with Indoor Staon
Input the maximum duraon of speaking with the indoor staon, ranging from 120 seconds
to 600 seconds.
Max. Speaking Duraon with Door Staon
Input the maximum duraon of speaking with the door staon, ranging from 90 seconds to
120 seconds.

Click Save to save the

7.3 Remote
Conguraon
In the device list area, select a device and click to enter the remote conguraon page.

Click Import Conguraon File and the import le window pops up. Select the path of remote

7.7 View Call Logs
You can check all the call logs, including dialed call logs, received call logs and missed call logs. You
can also directly dial via the log list and clear the logs.
Steps
1.
On the main page, click Access Control → Video Intercom to enter the Video Intercom page.

Click the Call Log tab to enter the Call Log page. All the call logs will display on this page and you
can check the log
informaon, e.g., call status, start me, resident's organizaon and name,
device name and ring or speaking duraon.

You can search the call logs between the iVMS-4200 client soware and video intercom devices,
device unlocking logs and the sent noce informaon.
On the main page, click Access Control to enter the access control module.
In the Access Control module, click Video Intercom to enter the Video Intercom page.

Call Status
Click to unfold the drop-down list and select the call status as Dialed, Received or Missed.
Or select All to search logs with all statuses.
Device Type
Click
to unfold the drop-down list and select the device type as Indoor Staon, Door
Staon, Outer Door Staon or Analog Indoor Staon. Or select All Devices to search logs
with all device types.
Start Time/End Time
Click
to specify the start me and end me of a me period to search the logs.

Oponal: You can click Reset to reset all the congured search condions.

Click Search and all the matched call logs will display on this page.
Check the detailed
informaon of searched call logs, such as call status, ring/speaking
duraon, device name, resident organizaon, etc.
Input keywords in the Search

Input the recipient informaon in the Recipient eld to search the specied noce.
Subject
Input the keywords in the Subject eld to search the matched noce.
Type
Click to unfold the drop-down list and select the noce type as Adversing Informaon,
Property Informaon, Alarm Informaon or Noce Informaon. Or select All to search
noces with all types.
