The Power, PoE and Link/Activity LEDs allow for easier switch monitoring and connections.
Note: All ports provide power to a connected device and all connected devices should comply with IEEE
802.3af/at.

Ports
All ports on the switch support Auto-MDI/ MDI-X functionality. Crossover cables and uplink
ports are not needed for connections to PCs, routers, hubs, other switches, etc.
Cat5e/6 UTP/STP cables provide optimal performance. If a status LED does not indicate a
link or activity, check the corresponding device for proper setup and operation.

Use the included power cord to connect the device (on the rear panel) to an AC outlet.
Confirm that the power LED on the front panel is lit.

Installation
Prior to use, position the switch:
• On a level surface that can support the weight of the switch with at least 1 in. (~25 mm) of
clearance for ventilation.
• Away from sources of electrical noise: radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers, etc.
• Within 328 ft. (100 m) of network devices it is connected to.
Chassis Ground Column (Rear Panel)
Wire the grounding terminal to an earth-grounding object to prevent power spikes.
Rack-Mount Installation
The switch includes brackets and screws for optional rack mounting.

Disconnect any cables from the switch.

Position a bracket over the mounting holes on one side of the switch and secure it in place
with screws.
Note: M3 (diameter: 4.8 mm, length: 6 mm) screws included.

Repeat Step 2 on the other side of the switch.

Position the switch in the rack and attach the brackets to the rack.

Reconnect any cables.

Puertos

Instalación
Antes de utilizarlo, coloque el Switch:
• Sobre una superficie nivelada que pueda soportar el peso del switch con al menos ~25 mm [1 ft.]
de espacio libre para ventilación.

Ports

Installation
Avant l'utilisation, positionnez le commutateur:
• Sur une surface plane pouvant supporter le poids du commutateur avec au moins 25 mm (1 po.)
pour la ventilation.

Alle Ports des Switches unterstützen die Auto-MDI/ MDI-X-Funktionalität. Crossover-Kabel und
Uplink-Ports werden für Verbindungen zu PCs, Routern, Hubs, anderen Switches usw. nicht
benötigt.
Cat5e/6 UTP-/STP-Kabel bieten optimale Performance. Wenn eine Status-LED keine Verknüpfung
oder Aktivität anzeigt, überprüfen Sie das entsprechende Gerät auf korrekte Einrichtung und
Funktion.

Verwenden Sie das mitgelieferte Netzkabel, um das Gerät (auf der Rückwand) mit einem AC

Installation
Positionieren Sie den Switch vor der Verwendung:
• Auf einer ebenen Fläche, die das Gewicht des Switches tragen kann, mit mindestens 1 Zoll (ca.
25 mm) freiem Platz für die Belüftung.
• Mit Abstand von elektrischen Störquellen: Radios, Sendern, Breitbandverstärkern usw.
• Innerhalb von 328 ft. (100 m) von Netzwerkgeräten, an die es angeschlossen ist.
Massesäule (Rückwand)
Verbinden Sie den Erdungsanschluss mit einem geerdeten Objekt, um Stromspitzen zu vermeiden.
Rack-Mount-Installation
Der Schalter enthält Halterungen und Schrauben für die optionale Rack-Montage.

Porte
Tutte le porte dello switch supportano la funzionalità Auto-MDI/ MDI-X. I cavi crossover e le porte
uplink non sono necessari per le connessioni a PC, router, hub, altri switch, ecc.
I cavi UTP/STP Cat5e/6 garantiscono prestazioni ottimali. Se un LED di stato non indica un
collegamento o un'attività, verificare che il dispositivo sia impostato correttamente e funzionante.

Installazione
Prima dell'uso, posizionare l'interruttore:
• Su una superficie piana che possa sostenere il peso del sensore con almeno 1 pollice (~25 mm) di
spazio libero per la ventilazione.
• Lontano da fonti di rumore elettrico: radio, trasmettitori, amplificatori a banda larga, ecc.
• Entro 100 m (328 piedi) dai dispositivi di rete a cui è collegato.
