WARNING
The device is only intended for domestic/private use, not for commer-
cial use.
This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people
with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience
or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instruc

ted on how to use the device safely, and are fully aware of the conse-
quent risks of use.
Children must not play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children
unless supervised.
If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be
disposed of. If it cannot be removed, the device must be disposed of.
Do not insert any objects in the device apertures or in the rotating parts.
Ensure that the moving parts can move freely at all times.
Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself.
If you do so, it may no longer function correctly. Failure to comply will
invalidate the guarantee.

1. INCLUDED IN DELIVERY
Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is in-
tact and make sure that all contents are included in the delivery.
Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device
or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed.
If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your
retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

ons for use, on the packaging and on the type plate for the device:

3. INTENDED USE
This device is exclusively intended to massage the backs of hu-
mans. It cannot replace medical treatment. Do not use the mas-
sager if one or several of the following warnings applies to you.
WARNING
Do not use the massager
if you suer from a medical abnormality or injury to your back
(e.g. slipped disc, open wound),
during pregnancy,
while sleeping,
in a vehicle,
on animals,
whilst undertaking any activity where an unexpected reaction
could be dangerous,
after the consumption of substances that lead to impaired
cognitive function (e.g. pain medication, alcohol),
for longer than 15 minutes (risk of overheating). Leave the de
-
vice to cool down for at least 15 minutes before using it again.
If you are unsure whether the massager is suitable for you,
please consult your doctor.
You should consult your doctor before using the massager,
especially
- if you suer from a severe illness or have recently had sur
-
gery on your upper body,
- if you have a pacemaker, implants or other aids,
- if you suer from thrombosis,
- if you suer from diabetes,
- if you are suering from pain, the cause of which is un
-
known.
The device is only intended for the purpose described in these
instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage re
-
sulting from improper or careless use.
4. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES
Failure to observe the following information may result in personal
injury or material damage.
WARNING
Keep packaging material away from children. There is a risk of
suocation.
Electric shock
WARNING
As with every electrical device, use this massager carefully and
cautiously in order to avoid danger due to electric shock.
Therefore, observe the following instructions for use:
Only use this device with the mains voltage specified on the
device,
Never use the device if it or its accessories show visible signs
of damage,
Do not use the device during a storm.
In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device o
immediately and disconnect it from the mains socket. Do not pull
on the mains cable or on the device to disconnect the plug from
the socket. Never hold or carry the device by the mains cable.
Keep the cables away from hot surfaces. Do not crush, bend or
twist the cables. Do not insert needles or any sharp objects.
Ensure that the massager, the switch and the mains cable do not
come into contact with water, steam or other liquids.
Therefore, only use the device
in dry interior rooms (e.g. never in the bath or sauna),
with dry hands.

Never pick up a device that has fallen into water. Disconnect the
mains plug immediately. Do not use the device if it or its acces
-
sories are visibly damaged. Do not drop the device or subject it
to any impacts.
Repairs
WARNING
Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical de-
vices. Improper repairs may put users in significant danger. For
repairs, please contact Customer Services or an authorised
retailer.
The zips on the back and seat sections of the Shiatsu massage
seat cover must not be opened. They are only used for techni
-
cal production reasons.
Risk of fire
WARNING
There may be a risk of fire if the device is used improperly or these
instructions for use are ignored.
The massager must therefore be operated as follows:
Never use the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket,
pillow, etc.
Never use the device near petrol or other highly flammable
substances.
Handling
NOTICE
The device must be switched o and disconnected after every use
and before cleaning.
Operate the device only in an upright position, and never place
it flat on the ground.
Do not place your full weight (sitting, lying down or standing)
on the moving parts of the device or place any objects on the
device.
Do not expose the device to high temperatures.

6. USAGE
6.1 Positioning the Shiatsu massage seat cover
1. Position the Shiatsu massage seat cover upright on a suitable
seat with a seating surface and back rest (chair, sofa or similar).
Make sure that the entire surface of the seating surface

and
the back section

are in contact with the seat.

If necessary, use the flexible fastening straps

with hook-
and-loop fastener to attach the Shiatsu massage seat cover.
3. Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard. Insert
the mains plug

into a suitable socket.
6.2 Starting use
CAUTION
Do not force or jam any part of your body, in particular your fin-
gers, between the rotating massage heads

or their holders in
the device.
At first, just press your back carefully against the
Shiatsu massage seat cover. Then check carefully
whether the massage position is pleasant for you
and then shift your weight gradually towards the
Shiatsu massage seat cover. The massage should
feel pleasant and relaxing at all times. If the massage
is painful or uncomfortable, stop the massage or
change your position or the contact pressure.

Selecting the seat position: Sit comfortably and upright on the
Shiatsu massage seat cover. Take care to ensure you are posi-
tioned in the middle and that the massage heads

can move
to the left and right of your spine.

Plugging in the device: Insert the mains plug into a suitable
socket. The status LED starts flashing green. The device is now
in standby mode.

Switching on the device: Press the On/O/intensity button

4. Adjusting the intensity level: The device has two intensity le
-
vels. To switch between the two intensity levels, press the On/
O/intensity button

during the massage.

5. Switching o the device: To switch the device o, press and
hold the On/O/intensity button

for 2 seconds. The status

starts flashing green. The massage heads slowly re-
turn to their starting position. This may take a few seconds
depending on the position of the massage heads. Wait until
the massage heads have reached their starting position. Only
then pull the mains plug out of the socket. Do not disconnect
the Shiatsu massage seat cover from the power supply while it is
in operation. Always switch o the device first and wait until the
massage heads have reached their starting position.
Maximum application time/automatic switch-
o:
As soon as the Shiatsu massage seat cover is
switched on, the automatic switch-o function will
be activated automatically and preset to 15 min
-
utes.
NOTICE
Use the massager for max. 15 minutes and then leave it to cool
down. Long massages can lead to over-stimulation of the musc
-
les, creating tension instead of aiding relaxation. You can end the
massage at any time by pressing the On/O/intensity button

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
CAUTION
Unplug the device each time before cleaning.
Clean the device using only the methods specified. Liquid
must not penetrate the device or the accessories under any
circumstances.
Small marks can be removed using a cloth or damp sponge,
and some liquid delicate laundry detergent where necessary.
Do not use any solvent-based cleaning products.
Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
Maintenance
If you do not plan to use the device for a long period of time, we
recommend that you store it in the original packaging in a dry en
-
vironment, ensuring it is not weighed down by additional items.

10. DISPOSAL
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in house-
hold waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a
suitable local collection or recycling point in your coun

try. Observe the local regulations for material disposal.
Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). If
you have any questions, please contact the local autho

rities responsible for waste disposal. You can obtain the
location of collection points for old devices from the local or muni

cipal authorities, local waste disposal companies or your retailer,
for example.
