11.2 Tips for storing wine
Note the following tips for storing
wine.
Store the wine bottles directly on
the bottle shelves. The open bottle
shelves allow for continuous air cir-
culation, which quickly removes
excess moisture.
Temper the wine before serving it.
Remove red wine from the appli-
ance 4 to 5hours before serving
and rosé wine 2 to 3hours before
serving to allow it to slowly warm
to the ideal drinking temperature
(chambrieren). Serve white wine
immediately after taking it out of
the appliance. Cool Sekt and
Champagne in the refrigerating ap-
pliance shortly before serving.
Always store wine a little cooler
than its ideal drinking temperature,
as the wine warms up as soon as
it is poured into the glass.
