bend the blade arms (also referred to as flanges), when
installing the brackets, balancing the blades or cleaning the
fan.
WARNING: Do not insert foreign objects between rotating
fan blades.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or
personal injury, mount the fan to the outlet box marked
acceptable for fan support with the screws provided with the
outlet box.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of personal injury, use only
the screws provided with the outlet box.
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has
been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before
beginning.
2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical
Code “ANSI/NFPA 70” and local electrical codes. Electrical
installation should be performed by a qualified licensed
electrician.
3. The outlet box and support structure must be securely
mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 35
lbs (15.9 kg) or less. Use only UL-listed outlet boxes marked
“FOR FAN SUPPORT.”
4. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft (2.1m)
clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
5. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
6. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other
items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
7. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan
blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be
suitable for most cleaning.
8. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors
should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the
outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the
grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor
on one side of the outlet box and ungrounded conductor on
the other side of the outlet box.
9. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where
necessary before installation.
10. Suitable for use with solid-state speed control (JY1028 only).

The manufacturer warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the
factory for a period of lifetime after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The manufacturer warrants the light kit (excluding any
glass), to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a period of five years after
the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The manufacturer also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic
blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of two years after the
date of purchase by the original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or
superior model if the product is returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All
costs of removing and reinstalling the product are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident, misuse, improper

DUAL MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
This ceiling fan is supplied with two types of hanging assemblies: the
standard ceiling installation using the downrod with ball and socket
mounting, and the "close-to-ceiling" mounting. The "close-to-ceiling"
mounting is recommended in rooms with less than 8 ft. ceilings or in
areas where additional space is desired from the floor to the fan blades.
When using the standard downrod installation, the distance from the
ceiling to the bottom of the fan blades will be approximately 12 in. The
"close-to-ceiling" installation reduces the distance from the ceiling to the
bottom of the fan blades to approximately 9 in.
Once you have decided which ceiling installation you will use, refer to the
corresponding sections and procedures during the assembly period.
Where necessary, each section of the instructions will note the different
procedures to follow for the two types of installation.

To hang your fan where there is an existing fixture but no ceiling
joist, you may need an installation hanger bar (EE) (not included)
as shown above.
If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting
box, then install one using the following instructions:
□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off
the circuit breakers.
□ Secure the outlet box (DD) (not included) directly to the
building structure. Use appropriate fasteners and materials
(not included). The outlet box and its bracing must be able
to fully support the weight of the moving fan (at least 35
lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.
The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the
outlet box (DD) (not included).

Installation
MOUNTING OPTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or
personal injury, mount the fan to an outlet box marked
acceptable for fan support using the screws provided with the
outlet box. An outlet box commonly used for the support of
lighting fixtures may not be acceptable for fan support and
may need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician.
NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper
blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped ceiling.
The maximum angle allowable is 18° away from horizontal. If
the canopy (C) touches the hanger ball/downrod assembly (E),
then remove the decorative canopy bottom cover (D) and turn
the canopy (C) 180° before attaching the canopy (C) to the
mounting bracket (A).

□ Remove the canopy ring (B) from the canopy (C).
□ Remove the two non-slotted canopy mounting screws
with lock washers (FF) from the canopy (C), and
loosen the slotted canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (FF) on the canopy (C).
□ Remove the canopy (C) from the mounting bracket (A)
by turning the canopy (C) counterclockwise.

□ Remove the cotter pin (GG) and clevis pin (HH), and
loosen the two collar setscrews (II) from the motor
collar.
□ Take out the setscrew (JJ) located in the hanger ball
(KK), lower the hanger ball (KK) and remove the cross
pin (LL). Remove the hanger ball (KK) from the hanger
ball/downrod assembly (E).
□ Remove the ground lead (MM) from the downrod
assembly (E).

WARNING: Failure to properly install the cotter pin (GG)
could result in the fan loosening and possibly falling.
□ Carefully feed the motor wires up through the
downrod (NN). Thread the downrod (NN) into the
collar.
□ Align the holes and replace the clevis pin (HH) and
cotter pin (GG). Tighten the two collar setscrews (II).
□ Slip the coupling cover (F), canopy ring (B), and
canopy (C) onto the downrod (NN).
□ Carefully reinstall the hanger ball (KK) onto the
downrod (NN) and reinstall the ground lead (MM) onto
the downrod (NN), being sure that the cross pin (LL)
is in the correct position, the setscrew (JJ) is
tightened and wires are not twisted.
NOTE: If a longer downrod (not included) is needed, take out
the screw located in the hanger ball (KK), lower the hanger
ball (KK) and remove the pin (LL). Remove all three pieces
from the downrod and assemble them onto the new longer
downrod before proceeding to the downrod installation.

on top of the fan motor assembly (G).

mounting screws (OO) could result in the fan becoming loose
and possibly falling.

□ Make sure the slot openings of the canopy ring (B)
are on top, and then proceed to place the canopy ring
(B) and canopy (C) over the collar at the top of the fan
motor assembly (G).
□ Align the mounting holes in the bottom of the canopy

assembly (G). Fasten using the three collar mounting
screws with lock washers (OO) previously removed.
□ Tighten the collar mounting screws (OO) securely.

□ Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the center
hole in the mounting bracket (A).
□ Attach the mounting bracket (A) on the outlet box
(DD) by sliding the mounting bracket (A) over the
screws provided with the outlet box. When using
“close-to-ceiling” mounting, it is important that the
mounting bracket (A) be level. If necessary, use
leveling washers (not included) between the
mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box (DD). Note
that the flat side of the mounting bracket (A) is
toward the outlet box (DD).
□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or
other personal injury, mount the fan only to an outlet box or
supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and
use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box.
WARNING: The tab in the ring must rest in the groove of
the hanger ball (E). Failure to properly seat the tab in the
groove could cause damage to the wiring.
WARNING: The hook is only to hold the fan while attaching
wiring. Failure to hang as instructed may result in the tab
breaking causing the fan to fall. The hook must pass from the
inside to the outside of the canopy.
□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (G) up to the
mounting bracket (A) and seat the hanger ball (E) in
the mounting bracket (A) socket. Make sure the tab
on the mounting bracket (A) socket is properly seated
in the groove in the hanger ball (E). This will help to
balance the ceiling fan.
□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (G) up to the
mounting bracket (A) and hang the fan on the hook
provided using one of the holes at the outer rim of the
canopy (C).

If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge
or experience, have your fan installed by a licensed
electrician.
Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your household
wiring. Use the plastic wire nuts (AA) with your fan. Secure the
plastic wire nuts (AA) with electrical tape. Make sure there are
no loose strands or connections.
Make wire connections as follows, using the wire nuts (AA).
From Fan To Outlet Box

White Wire ------------------- White Wire (Neutral)
Green Wires* ---------------- Green or Bare Wire (Ground)
* There are two green grounding leads: one from the mounting
bracket (A) and one from the hanger ball/downrod assembly (E) if
installed.
Turn the wire nut connections upward, spreading them
apart so the green (ground) and white wires will be on one
side of the outlet box (DD), and the black wire will be on the
other side. Carefully tuck the connections up into the outlet
box (DD).
WARNING: Check to see that all connections are tight,
including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire
nuts (except for the ground wire).
WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure
electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring.
NOTE: If there is a red wire coming out of the outlet box, be
sure to cap this wire with a wire nut.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, this fan
must be installed with an isolating wall control/switch.

WARNING: The locking slots of the canopy (C) are provided
only as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly
unattended until all four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (FF) are engaged and firmly tightened.
WARNING: Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket (A)
properly sits in the groove in the hanger ball (E) before
attaching the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A) by
turning the canopy (C) until it drops into place.
WARNING: Locking slots of the canopy (C) are provided
only as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly
unattended until all four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (FF) are engaged and firmly tightened.
□ Slide the canopy (C) up to the ceiling. Make sure you
have placed the wires safely into the outlet box (DD).
□ Secure the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A)
with the four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (FF) included with your fan.
□ Raise up canopy ring (B) and line up the four grooves
with the four screw heads on the canopy (C). Once
lined up, slide the canopy ring (B) and secure it to the
canopy (C) until snug.
□ Remove the fan from the hook on the mounting
bracket (A).
□ Secure the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A)
with the four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (FF) provided.
□ Raise up canopy ring (B) and line up the four grooves
with the four screw heads on the canopy (C). Once
lined up, slide the canopy ring (B) and secure it to the
canopy (C) until snug.

□ Align the holes from the blade (H) to the holes from
the motor (G), and secure the blade in place with
screws and washers (BB) provided.
□ Repeat this process to attach the other two blades
(H).

□ Remove one of the three light kit mounting plate
screws (PP) from the mounting ring (QQ) and loosen
the other two screws. (Do not remove.)
□ Place the key holes in the light kit mounting plate (I)
over the two screws (PP) previously loosened from
the mounting ring (QQ). Turn the light kit mounting
plate (I) until the light kit mounting plate (I) locks in
place at the narrow section of the key holes.
□ Securely tighten the two light kit mounting plate
screws (PP) previously loosened and the one (PP)
previously removed.

□ Position the notches (TT) in the outer rim of the glass
shade (K) so they line up with the tabs (UU) on the inside
of the rim on the 18W LED light kit (J). Carefully lift the
glass (K) up inside the 18W LED light kit (J) and secure it
to the fan by turning the glass shade (K) clockwise until
snug. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
CAUTION: Before starting installation, disconnect the
power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse
at the fuse box. Turning power off using the fan switch is not
sufficient to prevent electric shock.
□ Remove one of the three light kit mounting screws
(RR) from the light kit mounting plate (I) and loosen
the other two screws (RR). (Do not remove.)
□ While holding the 18W LED light kit (J) under the fan
motor assembly (G), make the 2-pin wire connections
(SS):
- Blue to black
- White to white
□ Place the key holes in the 18W LED light kit (J) over
the two mounting screws (RR) previously loosened
from the light kit mounting plate (I). Turn the 18W
LED light kit (J) until the 18W LED light kit (J) locks in
place at the narrow section of the key holes. Secure
by tightening the two light kit mounting screws (RR)
previously loosened and the one (RR) previously
removed.

SETTING UP THE TRANSMITTER
NOTE: Batteries will weaken with age and should be replaced
before leaking takes place as this will damage the remote
control. Dispose of used batteries properly and keep them out
of the reach of children.
Remove the battery cover by pressing firmly on the arrow and
sliding the cover off.
Install two 1.5V AAA batteries (CC) (included).
Replace the battery cover on the remote control (L).
NOTE: The remote has been pre-paired in the factory for your
convenience.
IMPORTANT: Follow steps below to re-pair the remote and
the receiver when needed.
The learning process causes any installed fan within range to
memorize a remote control. Fans can learn five remotes.
To add a remote to your fan’s memory, use the steps below:
□ Within 60 seconds of turning AC power on, press and hold the
"LEARN" button located in the remote's battery compartment to
enter the learning function. Once the fan has detected the
remote control’s frequency, the down light of your fan, if
applicable, will blink, and the fan blades will start to spin. When
this occurs, release the "LEARN" button.
□ The fan will now accept commands from the added remote.
□ 1/0 dip switch: The 1 position utilizes a random frequency to
pair individual fans within close proximity, and the 0 position is
for a universal frequency that allows for a common frequency to
operate multiple fans with one remote.
NOTE: If installing multiple fans on separate remotes, only
the fan being programmed should have AC power turned ON.
All other fans, even if they have already been programmed,
should have AC power OFF so they do not memorize other
remotes during the learning process. Separate the fan power
switches by approximately 2 meters.
NOTE: The dip switch in the battery compartment has been
set on “1” position and paired for your convenience.

1. Fan button. - Press and release the button to turn the fan on or off.
□ When turned on, the fan will begin spinning using its last speed settings. The remote control’s LED bar will display the speed setting
for 5 seconds.
□ When turned off, the fan will stop spinning and the light from the remote control’s LED bar will quickly darken from top to bottom.
OPERATING YOUR FAN AND REMOTE CONTROL
NOTE: The fan will store the last used speed setting for the next time it is turned on.
NOTE: You must turn the fan on prior to using the speed or time functions.
NOTE: On each start up of your ceiling fan, the fan blades will oscillate back and forth. This is a NORMAL OPERATION for DC motor ceiling
fans as they go through a calibration cycle. The fan is NOT DEFECTIVE.

□ Pressing and releasing the + button one time will increase the speed of the fan. Each setting increase will cause the LED bar to
illuminate slightly more, until the fan has reached the maximum speed setting, at that time the LED bar will be fully illuminated.
□ Pressing and holding the + button will increase the fan speed automatically through the speed settings and the increments will be
denoted on the LED bar. When the LED bar is fully illuminated, the fan has reached maximum speed setting.

□ Pressing and releasing the - button one time will decrease the speed of the fan. Each setting decrease will cause the LED bar to dim
slightly more, until the fan has reached the minimum speed setting. At that time the LED bar will be approximately 25% illuminated.
□ Pressing and holding the - button will decrease the fan speed automatically through the speed settings and the reductions will be
denoted on the LED bar. When the LED bar is 25% illuminated, the fan has reached the minimum speed setting.
6. Light
□ Press and release the light button to turn the light on or off.
□ Light on: The fan memory function will resume the light setting (on or off and dim) on the fan prior to the power being turned off.
7. Dimmer
□ Press to increase the desired light level.
□ Press to decrease the desired light level.
4. Timer
□ Pressing the timer buttons will automatically turn fan off after 2, 4, or 8 hours. When you activate the timer mode, the LED to the left of
the time above the clock will illuminate.
5. Fan reverse button (Must be pushed when the fan is in operation)
□ Warm weather: LED bar will illuminate and the lights will flow from high to low.
□ Cool weather: LED bar will illuminate and the lights will flow from low to high.
There are three Comfort Breeze

WARM/COOL WEATHER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Speed settings for warm or cool weather depend on factors such
as the room size, ceiling height, numbers of fans.
Warm weather - (Counterclockwise Direction) A downward air flow
creates a cooling effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner
on a warmer setting without affecting your comfort.
Cool weather - (Clockwise Direction) An upward air flow moves
warm air off the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on
a cooler setting without affecting your comfort.
NOTE: The fan reverse buttons must be pressed while the
fan is running.

Care and Cleaning
□ Check the support connections, brackets, and blade
attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure.
Because of the fan’s natural movement, some
connections may become loose over time. It is not
necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.
□ Clean your fan periodically. Use only a soft brush or
lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is
sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or
tarnishing.
□ (Optional) Apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood
blades.
□ (Optional) Cover small scratches with a light application of
shoe polish.

□ Use water when cleaning. Water could damage the motor,
or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock.
□ Apply oil to your fan or motor. The motor has
permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

WARNING: Make sure the power is off at the electrical panel box before you attempt any repairs. Refer to the section “Making the Electrical
Connections” on page 12.
Problem Solution
□ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.
□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.
□ Check to make sure the frequency switches from the remote control and receiver are set to the same
frequency.
□ Turn the AC power off, and turn the AC power on after 10 seconds.
□ Reset the transmitter by going through the transmitter “LEARNING PROCESS”.
□ Make sure all motor housing screws are snug.
□ Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade arm to the motor hub are tight.
□ Make sure the wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch
housing.
□ Allow a 24-hour "breaking-in" period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this
time.
□ If using the ceiling light kit, make sure the screws securing are tight. Check that the light bulb is also
secure.
□ Make sure there is a short distance from the ceiling to the canopy. It should not touch the ceiling.
□ Make sure your ceiling box is secure and that rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting
bracket and outlet box.
The fan will not start.
The fan sounds noisy.

□ This is normal start-up procedure for DC motor fans. The partial movement during start-up is the result
of the DC motor aligning the internal magnetic poles for proper motor operation. This design saves
electricity and allows the fan to operate much quieter than standard AC motor fans.

□ Do not connect the fan with wall mounted variable speed control(s).
□ Make sure the frequency switches are set correctly.

Verify that all blades and blade bracket screws are secure (most fan wobble problems are caused by
loose parts). Once the fan is properly installed, run the ceiling fan for 10 minutes to let the fan
self-adjust.
If wobble occurs after running the fan for 10 minutes, verify blade level using the following process:
- Select a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades, then select any fan blade and
measure from the center of the selected blade to the point on the ceiling. Rotate the fan until the next
blade is positioned and repeat the measurement using the same point from the ceiling for every blade.
Measurement deviations should be within 1/8 in..
- If all deviations are less than 1/8 in. and the fan continues to wobble, please call Customer Service
(1-800-986-3460) to order a complimentary Blade Balancing Kit.
- If deviation is greater than 1/8 in. , please call Customer Service (1-800-986-3460) to order
complimentary replacements of your brackets.

ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio,
descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, monta el ventilador
sobre la caja eléctrica marcada como “aprobada como
soporte de ventilador” y usa los tornillos de montaje que
vienen con la misma.
1. Para disminuir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, asegúrate de
que la electricidad ha sido apagada en el cortacircuitos o la
caja de fusibles antes de comenzar la instalación.
2. Todo el cableado debe cumplir con el Código Nacional de
Electricidad "ANSI/NFPA 70" y con los códigos locales de
electricidad. La instalación eléctrica debe ser hecha por un
electricista certificado y calificado.
3. La caja eléctrica y estructura de soporte deben montarse de
forma segura y tener capacidad para sostener de manera
confiable un mínimo de 35 libras (15,9 kg) o menos. Usa
solamente cajas eléctricas aprobadas por UL marcadas como
“PARA SOPORTE DE VENTILADOR”.
4. El ventilador debe ir montado con un mínimo de 7 pies (2,1m)
de separación entre el borde trasero de las aspas y el piso.
5. Evita colocar objetos en la trayectoria de las aspas.
6. Para evitar lesiones físicas o daños al ventilador y otros
artículos, ten cuidado al limpiar o trabajar cerca del ventilador.
7. No usar agua o detergentes al limpiar el ventilador o las aspas.
Para la limpieza, será adecuado un paño seco para quitar el
polvo o ligeramente humedecido.
8. Después de concluir con las conexiones eléctricas, debes

INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE DOBLE
Este ventilador de techo viene con dos tipos de ensamblajes de soporte: la
instalación de techo estándar con tubo bajante y bola y soporte de
montaje; y el montaje “cerca del techo”. El montaje “cerca del techo” se
recomienda en habitaciones con techos de menos de 2.44 metros de
altura o en áreas donde se desee espacio adicional entre el piso y las
aspas del ventilador.
Cuando uses una instalación con un tubo bajante estándar, la distancia
desde el techo a la parte inferior de las aspas será aproximadamente de
30.5 cm. La instalación “cerca del techo” reduce la distancia desde el
techo a la parte inferior de las aspas a 22.9 cm aproximadamente.
Una vez que hayas elegido el tipo de instalación en techo, adáptate a las
secciones y procedimientos correspondientes durante el período de
ensamblaje. Cuando sea necesario, cada sección de las instrucciones
indicará los diferentes procedimientos a seguir para los dos tipos de
instalación.

Para colgar el ventilador donde ya haya una lámpara pero
ninguna viga de techo, tal vez necesites una barra de instalación
colgante (EE) (no provistas) como se muestra arriba.
Si tu ventilador de techo no posee una caja de montaje aprobada
por UL, instala una siguiendo las instrucciones a continuación:
□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando los
cortacircuitos.
□ Fija la caja eléctrica (DD) (no provistas) directamente a la
estructura del edificio. Usa sujetadores y materiales (no
provistas) apropiados. La caja eléctrica y su soporte deben
sostener completamente el peso en movimiento del
ventilador (al menos 35 libras). No uses una caja eléctrica
de plástico.
Las ilustraciones a continuación muestran tres formas diferentes
de montar la caja eléctrica (DD) (no provistas).
ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio,
descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, monta el ventilador
sobre una caja eléctrica marcada como “aprobada como

ADVERTENCIA: Si no instalas correctamente el pasador
de chaveta (GG) es posible que el ventilador se afloje y caiga.
□ Retira el pasador de chaveta (GG) y pasador tipo
horquilla (HH), y afloja los dos tornillos de ajuste de
collarín (II) del collarín del motor.
□ Retira el tornillo de fijación (JJ) de la bola de soporte
(KK), bájala y retira el pasador transversal (LL). Quita
la bola de soporte (KK) del ensamblaje del tubo
bajante/bola de soporte (E).
□ Retira la cable de tierra (MM) del ensamblaje del tubo
de soporte (E).
□ Con cuidado, introduce los cables del motor y hacia
arriba a través del tubo bajante (NN). Enrosca el tubo
bajante (NN) en el collarín.
□ A continuación, alinea los orificios y reemplaza el
pasador tipo horquilla (HH) y el pasador de chaveta
(GG). Ajusta los dos tornillos de fijación del collarín
(II).

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de incendio,
descarga eléctrica o lesiones físicas, sólo instala el ventilador
en una caja eléctrica o sistema de soporte aprobados para
ventiladores y usa los tornillos de montaje que vienen con la
caja eléctrica.
ADVERTENCIA: La pestaña en el anillo debe encajar en la
ranura de la bola de soporte (E). Si la pestaña no se asienta
correctamente en la ranura, se puede dañar el cableado.
ADVERTENCIA: El gancho sólo es para sostener el
ventilador mientras se conectan los cables. Si no se cuelga
como se indica, puede romperse la pestaña, y el ventilador se
caerá. El gancho debe pasar de adentro hacia fuera de la
cubierta.
□ Levanta con cuidado el ensamblaje del motor (G)
hacia el soporte de montaje (A) y encaja la bola de
soporte (E) en el soporte de montaje (A). Asegúrate
de que la pestaña del soporte de montaje (A) encaje
bien dentro de la ranura de la bola de soporte (E).
Esto ayudará a compensar el ventilador de techo.
□ Con cuidado alza el ensamblaje del motor (G) hacia el
soporte de montaje (A) y cuelga el ventilador en el
gancho suministrado usando uno de los orificios en el
borde exterior de la cubierta (C).
□ Pasa los cables de suministro de 120 voltios a través
del orificio central en el soporte de montaje (A).
□ Monta el soporte de montaje (A) sobre la caja
eléctrica (DD) deslizando el soporte de montaje (A)
sobre los tornillos suministrados con la caja eléctrica.
Cuando uses el montaje “cerca del techo” es
importante que el soporte de montaje (A) esté
nivelado. Si fuera necesario, utiliza arandelas
niveladoras (no incluidas) entre el soporte de montaje
(A) y la caja eléctrica (DD). Fíjate que el lado plano del
soporte de montaje (A) esté hacia la caja eléctrica

Si crees que no tienes suficiente experiencia o conocimientos
en cableado eléctrico, contrata a un electricista con licencia
para que instale el ventilador.
Sigue estos pasos para conectar tu ventilador a tu circuito
doméstico. Usa las tuercas de plástico para cable (AA) con tu
ventilador. Asegura las tuercas de cables (AA) con cinta de
electricista. Asegúrate de que no existan conexiones o cables
sueltos.
Hacer las conexiones de cables de la siguiente manera,

□ Retira 1 de los 3 tornillos de montaje del kit de luces

CONFIGURAR EL TRANSMISOR
NOTA: Las pilas se debilitarán con el tiempo y deben
reemplazarse antes de que se produzca una fuga, ya que esto
dañará el mando a distancia. Deseche las pilas usadas
adecuadamente y manténgalas fuera del alcance de los niños.
Quita la cubierta de la batería presionando con firmeza en la
flecha y deslizando la cubierta hasta soltarla.
Instala 2 baterías AAA de 1.5 V (CC) (incluidas).
Coloca de nuevo la cubierta en el control remoto (L).
NOTA: El control remotal se ha emparejado previamente en la
fábrica para su comodidad.
PROCESO DE RECONOCIMIENTO
IMPORTANTE: También siga los pasos siguientes para
volver a emparejado el control remoto y el receptor cuando
sea necesario.
NOTA: Si se instalan varios ventiladores con mandos a distancia
separados, sólo el ventilador que se está programando debe
tener la alimentación de CA encendida. El resto de ventiladores,
incluso si ya han sido programados, deben tener la alimentación
de CA apagada para que no memoricen otros mandos durante
el proceso de reconocimiento. Separe los interruptores de
alimentación de los ventiladores aproximadamente 2 metros.
En los 60 segundos siguientes al encendido, mantenga pulsado
el botónel botón «LEARN» situado en el compartimento de la
pilapara acceder a la función de aprendizaje. Una vez que el
ventilador hayadetectado la frecuencia del mando a distancia, la
luz de bajada de suparpadeará y las aspas del ventilador
comenzarán a girar.a girar. Cuando esto ocurra, suelte el botón
«LEARN».
El ventilador ahora aceptará los comentarios del control remoto
añadido.
El proceso de reconocimiento hace que cualquier ventilador
instalado dentro del alcance memorice un mando a distancia. Los
ventiladores pueden reconocer a cinco mandos.
Para agregar un mando a la memoria de su ventilador, siga estos
pasos:
□ Interruptor DIP 1/0: La posición 1 utiliza una frecuencia
aleatoria para hacer coincidir ventiladores individuales poco
espaciados, y la posición 0 es para una frecuencia universal
que permite una frecuencia común para hacer funcionar
varios ventiladores con un mando a distancia.
NOTA: El interruptor DIP del compartimento de la batería se

1. Botón del ventilador. Oprime y suelta el botón para encender o apagar el ventilador.
□ Cuando se encienda, el ventilador comenzará a girar usando su último ajuste de velocidad. La barra LED del mando a distancia
mostrará el ajuste de velocidad durante 5 segundos.
□ Cuando se apaga, el ventilador dejará de girar y la luz de la barra LED del mando a distancia se oscurecerá rápidamente de arriba a
abajo.
CÓMO USAR TU VENTILADOR Y EL CONTROL REMOTO
NOTA: El ventilador almacenará el último ajuste de velocidad utilizado para la próxima vez que se encienda.
NOTA: Debe encender el ventilador antes de utilizar las funciones de velocidad o tiempo.
NOTA: En cada puesta en marcha el ventilador de techo que las aspas oscilarán de ida y vuelta. Esta es una operación normal de los

2. Funciones de velocidad
El botón + aumenta la velocidad del ventilador
□ Al presionar y soltar el botón + una vez, la velocidad del ventilador aumentará. Cada incremento en la configuración hará que la barra de luz
LED se ilumine un poco más hasta que el ventilador haya alcanzado la configuración de máxima velocidad posible; en ese momento la barra
de luz LED estará iluminada completamente.
□ Al mantener oprimido el botón + la velocidad del ventilador se incrementará automáticamente a través de la configuración de velocidades y
los incrementos se reflejarán en la barra de luz LED. Cuando la barra de luz LED esté completamente iluminada, el ventilador ha alcanzado la
configuración máxima de velocidad.
El botón - reduce la velocidad del ventilador
□ Al presionar y soltar el botón - una vez, la velocidad del ventilador disminuirá. Cada descenso en la configuración hará que la barra de luz
LED disminuya su intensidad un poco más hasta que el ventilador haya alcanzado la configuración de mínima velocidad posible. En ese
momento, la barra LED estará iluminada en un 25% aproximadamente.
□ Al mantener presionado el botón - la velocidad del ventilador disminuirá automáticamente a través de los ajustes de velocidad, indicándose
dicha reducción en la barra LED. Cuando la barra LED está iluminada al 25%, el ventilador ha alcanzado el ajuste de velocidad mínima

□ Uses agua al limpiarlo. El agua puede dañar el motor o
la madera, o causar descargas eléctricas.
□ Apliques lubricador al ventilador o al motor. El motor
tiene cojinetes de bola sellados permanentemente
lubricados.
□ Revisa las conexiones de soporte, soportes y accesorios
de aspas dos veces al año. Verifica que estén seguros.
Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas
conexiones pueden aflojarse con el tiempo. No es
necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.
□ Limpia tu ventilador con frecuencia. Usa solamente un
cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el
acabado. El revestimiento está sellado con laca para
minimizar la decoloración u opacidad.
□ (Opcional) Aplica una fina capa de pulimento para
muebles a la madera de las aspas.
□ (Opcional) Cubre los arañazos pequeños con una leve
aplicación de lustrador para calzado.

ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la electricidad esté cortada en el panel de electricidad antes de intentar hacer reparaciones. Consulta el

configurados en la misma frecuencia.
□ Apague la alimentación de CA, y encienda la alimentación de CA después 10 segundos.
□ Restablezca el transmisor pasando por el “PROCESO DE RECONOCIMIENTO” del transmisor.
□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.
□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el brazo del aspa del ventilador al cuerpo del motor están bien
ajustados.
□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras o con la pared interior
de la caja del interruptor.
□ Permite un período de 24 horas de “adaptación”. La mayoría de los ruidos asociados con un nuevo
ventilador desaparecen en ese período.
□ Si usas el kit de luces de techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos sujetadores estén bien ajustados. Verifica
que la bombilla también esté bien asegurada.
□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debería tocar el techo.
□ Asegúrate de que tu caja del techo esté bien segura y las almohadillas aislantes de goma se hayan
instalado entre el soporte de montaje y la caja eléctrica.

Verifica que todas las aspas y los tornillos de los soportes de aspas estén seguros (la mayoría de los
problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a piezas sueltas). Una vez que el ventilador ha sido
instalado correctamente, enciéndelo durante 10 minutos para que se autoajuste.
Si luego de 10 minutos de estar encendido el ventilador aún oscilara, verifica el nivel de las aspas
utilizando el siguiente procedimiento:
- Ubica un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas, luego elige cualquier aspa del
ventilador y mide desde el centro del aspa seleccionada hasta el punto en el techo. Rota el ventilador
hasta que la siguiente aspa esté posicionada y repite la medición utilizando el mismo punto en el techo
para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición deben estar dentro de 3.2 mm.
- Si todas las desviaciones son menores a 3.2 mm y el ventilador continúa oscilando, llama al servicio
al cliente al (1-800-986-3460) para ordenar sin costo alguno un kit de compensación de aspas.
- Si la desviación es mayor a 3.2 mm, llama al servicio al cliente al (1-800-986-3460) para ordenar sin
costo alguno los reemplazos de los soportes.
Problema Solución
□ Este es el procedimiento de arranque normal para los ventiladores de motor de CC. El movimiento
parcial durante el arranque es el resultado del motor de CC alineando los polos magnéticos internos
para el funcionamiento correcto del motor. Este diseño ahorra electricidad y permite que el ventilador
funcione mucho más silencioso que los ventiladores del motor de CA standard.
