RFX MEAT MINI
Getting Started
Remove the RFX MEAT MINI from the packaging, including the Charger Block. Download the ThermoWorks App
from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and follow in-app instructions to add your RFX MEAT MINI
to your account.
Instrument Operation
All settings and preferences are set and changed through the ThermoWorks App or ThermoWorks Cloud. You can
set and adjust high/low alarms, reset max/min temperatures, rename the device, change units (°C or °F), adjust
transmission intervals, and connect the device to your Wi-Fi network through the RFX GATEWAY(TMW049-G).
Battery Information
This device contains a built in, rechargeable, Lithium polymer battery (2.1V). Use only the provided charger to charge
the device. Clean the device before replacing RFX MEAT MINI in the charger. The charger power is 1.5V battery.
Transmission Interval Rate
Aperiodic instructions are that the probe only transmits one a temperature change of 1.5 degrees has occurred. If
the first temperature is transmitted for example at 32.0 degrees, the probe will only transmit when the temperature
goes up to 33.5 or down to 30.5. If the temperature never changes there is no transmissions. This is aperiodic
because it is not based on time it is based on temperature changes that are not on a set interval.
Cautions for RFX MEAT MINI
● The probe can be used in a smoker or oven.
● The rear will withstand temperatures up to 1000°F.
● Below the immersion line can withstand temperatures up to 212°F.The probe working temperature is14~212°F.
● Probe can be immersed in water. IP69 rated.
● Clean probe by wiping with damp cloth and kitchen cleaner. Can be immersed but do not clean in a dishwasher.
● With care, the probe should last a long time. Eventually you may need to replace it. Affordable replacements are
available.
