Removing Limescale Deposits
As the lime scale deposited in the kettle may adversely affect its lifetime,
remove it regularly dependingon the kettle use frequency.
Moreover, removing the limescale saves the electric energy, shortens the
boiling time and it does not affect the beverage taste.
During standard use (3 to 5 times per day), we recommend water scale
deposits be removed:
– once per month inareas withhard andvery hard water;
– once every two to three months inareas withsoft andmedium hard
water.
Toremove calcium deposits, use acommercially available scale remover
andfollow the instructions on the packaging of such adevice.
The kettle is equipped with aremovable scale filter. This filter is very fine
and captures pieces of scale that may be released during boiling water. To
ensure its proper functioning, it must be cleaned regularly.
1. Open the lid and remove the filter from the inner wall of the spout.
2. Rinse it under running water. In case of heavy dirt, wipe it with asoft
sponge.
3. Place it back on the inner wall of the spout - see picture C. The filter
has holders that fit into the cutouts in the spout.
