Important Safety Information
To help ensure reliable operation, the following care and maintenance
guidelines are recommended:
● Read this manual carefully before use and store it for reference.
● Do not disassemble or repair this device. It might cause product damage
or personal injury.
● Do not use it in a dusty, humid, dry, or high-temperature environment.
● Do not place this product near any mechanical vibration(s), a heat
source, in direct sunlight, or a dusty area.

● Do not cover this product with newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, or
other materials during use to reduce the risk of fire.
● If the product is damaged (i.e. the product is unable to operate
normally, liquid enters it or objects fall into the device, or it drops)
it must be repaired.
● The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 113°F (45ºC).
● Do not use this product in an extremely cold or hot environment. The
temperature range is between 41°F and 104°F (5ºC and 40ºC) If it is
used outside of the temperature range, the product might stop
automatically to protect the internal circuit.
● The storage environment temperature is 23°F~95°F (-5ºC~35°C) RH<70%
(recommended 77°F ±5 or 25Cº±5).
● Avoid exposure to extreme environmental conditions for a prolonged
period of time.
● The unit is water resistant but not waterproof and should not be
submerged in any liquids.
● Avoid severe impacts on the unit.
RANGING TIPS
To help ensure a consistent and accurate distance measurement, the following tips are
recommended:
● Be aware that snow, rain, and fog will have an adverse effect on ranging
ability.
● Shiny, reflective surfaces will usually reflect better than dull, textured
surfaces.
● Ranging under cloud cover can improve performance compared to bright
sunny conditions.

● The position of the sun compared to the rangefinder and/or the range
target will affect performance.
● Flat surfaces perpendicular to the laser pulse will reflect better than curved
surfaces or surfaces angled in relation to the laser pulse.
● At longer distances, larger objects will be ranged more easily compared to
smaller objects.
CLEANING & GENERAL CARE
The lens of the laser rangefinder is fully multi-coated for the highest light
transmission. As with any multi-coated optics, special care must be taken when
cleaning the lens. Follow these tips for proper lens cleaning:
● Blow away any dust or debris on the lens (or use the Blue Tees cleaning
cloth).
● To remove dirt or fingerprints, clean with the Blue Tees microfiber cloth.
Rub in a circular motion. A coarse cloth or additional rubbing can scratch
the lens surface and cause permanent damage. The washable microfiber
cleaning cloth included with the rangefinder is ideal for routine lens cleaning.
Simply breathe lightly on the lens to provide a slight amount of moisture,
then gently rub with the microfiber cloth.
● For a more thorough cleaning, photographic lens tissue and photographic
lens cleaning fluid or isopropyl alcohol may be used. Always apply the fluid
to the cleaning cloth. Never apply it directly to the lens.
● The rangefinder is water resistant but not waterproof. It should not be
exposed to heavy rain or other direct streams of water. It will not withstand
submersion in water or other liquids.

NOTE:
● To protect the lens coating, do not touch the lens surface.
● If the lens gets dirty, gently wipe it with the Blue Tees cleaning cloth.
● The Captain Pro rangefinder has been precisely calibrated. Do not
disassemble. If a repair is needed, contact Blue Tees Golf at
support@blueteesgolf.com.
● Store the rangefinder in a dry, cool, and ventilated place. The ideal location
is the carrying case provided.
● Avoid collision or heavy pressure when carrying or using the rangefinder.
● Rain and fog might affect the laser ray path and might cause incorrect
measurements.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Device won’t power on
● Recharge battery
● Ensure temperature is within operating range
Bluetooth not connecting
● Hold Bluetooth button for 2 seconds
● Ensure app is open and within range
Flag not locking
● Hold device steady
● Ensure Scan or Golf Mode is selected

WARNING: This product uses a lithium-based battery. Lithium batteries can
overheat and cause damage if used incorrectly. Do not use batteries that are
damaged or show signs of physical wear.
WARNINGS & LEGAL DISCLAIMER
WARNINGS
● Do not stare directly at or into the laser beam.
● Do not aim the rangefinder at the sun. Looking into the sun can cause
permanent damage to your eyes as well as the components of the
rangefinder.
● Keep the eyepiece away from direct sunlight.
● Before use, remove the plastic wrap from the battery. Lift the battery
compartment door and insert the battery at a 25-degree angle so that the
flat end of the battery touches the coiled part of the battery chamber.
● Do not expose to temperatures above 140°F (40°C). Do not store the unit in
temperatures above 113°F (45°C) or below 32°F (0°C). Properly recycle or
dispose of the battery. Do not dispose of the battery in fire or water.
● Do not crush, puncture, or short the battery’s external contacts.
