Connections
This section involves various methods of connecting the product to other external components. Ensure
all audio connections of the unit are connected before connecting to the mains power socket.
Dolby Atmos® gives you immersive listening experience by delivering sound it three
dimensional space, and all the richness, clarity, and power of Dolby sound. For more
information, please visit dolby.com/technologies/dolby-atmos.
For using Dolby Atmos
Dolby Atmos® is available only in E-ARC/ARC mode. For the details of the connection, please refer to
“Method 1: HDMI Connection”.
Dolby Atmos®
1. To use Dolby Atmos® in E-ARC/ARC mode, your device (e.g. TV, video game console,
etc.) has to support Dolby Atmos®.
2. Make sure that “No Encoding“ is selected for bitstream in the audio output of the
connected external device (e.g. Blu-ray DVD player, TV etc.).
3. While entering Dolby Atmos/Dolby Digital format, the soundbar will show DOLBY
ATMOS / DOLBY AUDIO / PCM AUDIO.
• The full Dolby Atmos experience is only available when the soundbar is connected to the source via a
HDMI 2.0 cable.
• The soundbar will still function when connected via other methods (such as a Digital Optical cable)
but these are unable to support all of the Dolby features. Given this, our recommendation is to
connect via HDMI, in order to ensure full Dolby support.

10
Method 1: HDMI Hub Connection
Some 4K HDR TVs require the HDMI input or picture settings to be set for HDR content reception. For
further setup details on HDR display, please refer to the instruction manual of your TV.
Using your TV as a hub
• Ensure to use an HDMI cable that can support the ARC function.
• HDMI-CEC will be called dierent names by dierent manufacturers – please refer to your owner’s
manual for details on setting up HDMI-CEC and ARC.
• While using an HDMI cable for ARC function, CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) provides
interoperability between the unit and various devices (e.g. TV). However, this unit is not guaranteed to
fully operate with all HDMI-CEC enabled devices. This is NOT a defect.
The ARC (Audio Return Channel) function allows sound to travel to and from your eARC/
ARC-compliant TV to your soundbar through a single HDMI connection. To enjoy the ARC
function, please ensure that your TV is both HDMI-CEC and eARC/ARC compliant and set up
accordingly.
When correctly set up, you can adjust the volume output (+/– and
Mute button) of the
soundbar with the TV remote control.
When you switch your TV on/o with your remote control, you soundbar will also be
switched on/o. Be patient that it might take a few seconds for your TV to tell your
soundbar to switch on or o.
