installing the brackets, balancing the blades or cleaning the
fan.

acceptable for fan support with the screws provided with the
outlet box.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of personal injury, use only
the screws provided with the outlet box.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur
in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of
the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from
that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for
help.
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has
been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before
beginning.
2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical
Code “ANSI/NFPA 70” and local electrical codes. Electrical
installation should be performed by a qualified licensed
electrician.
3. The outlet box and support structure must be securely
mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 35
lbs (15.9 kg) or less. Use only UL-listed outlet boxes marked
“FOR FAN SUPPORT.”
4. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft (2.1m)
clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
5. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
6. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other
items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
7. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan
blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be
suitable for most cleaning.
8. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors
should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the
outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the
grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor
on one side of the outlet box and ungrounded conductor on
the other side of the outlet box.
9. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where
necessary before installation.
10. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation
is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may
not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must
accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation.

factory for a period of lifetime after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The manufacturer warrants the light kit (excluding any
glass), to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a period of five years after
the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The manufacturer also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic
blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of two years after the
date of purchase by the original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or
superior model if the product is returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All
costs of removing and reinstalling the product are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident, misuse, improper

DUAL MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
This ceiling fan is supplied with two types of hanging assemblies: the
standard ceiling installation using the downrod with ball and socket
mounting, and the "close-to-ceiling" mounting. The "close-to-ceiling"
mounting is recommended in rooms with less than 8 ft. ceilings or in
areas where additional space is desired from the floor to the fan blades.
When using the standard downrod installation, the distance from the
ceiling to the bottom of the fan blades will be approximately 12 in. The
"close-to-ceiling" installation reduces the distance from the ceiling to the
bottom of the fan blades to approximately 9 in.
Once you have decided which ceiling installation you will use, refer to the
corresponding sections and procedures during the assembly period.
Where necessary, each section of the instructions will note the different
procedures to follow for the two types of installation.

To hang your fan where there is an existing fixture but no ceiling
joist, you may need an installation hanger bar (PP) (not included)
as shown above.
If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting
box, then install one using the following instructions:
□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off
the circuit breakers.
□ Secure the outlet box (OO) (not included) directly to the
building structure. Use appropriate fasteners and materials
(not included). The outlet box and its bracing must be able
to fully support the weight of the moving fan (at least 35
lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.
The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the
outlet box (OO) (not included).

MOUNTING OPTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or
personal injury, mount the fan to an outlet box marked
acceptable for fan support using the screws provided with the
outlet box. An outlet box commonly used for the support of
lighting fixtures may not be acceptable for fan support and
may need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician.
NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper
blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped ceiling.
The maximum angle allowable is 18° away from horizontal. If
the canopy (C) touches the hanger ball/downrod assembly (E),
then remove the decorative canopy bottom cover (D) and turn
the canopy (C) 180° before attaching the canopy (C) to the
mounting bracket (A).

□ Remove the canopy ring (B) from the canopy (C).
□ Remove the two non-slotted canopy mounting
screws with lock washers (BB) from the canopy (C),
and loosen the slotted canopy mounting screws with

□ Remove the cotter pin (DD) and clevis pin (CC), and
loosen the two collar setscrews (GG) from the motor
collar.
□ Take out the setscrew (FF) located in the hanger ball
(QQ), lower the hanger ball (QQ) and remove the
cross pin (EE). Remove the hanger ball (QQ) from the
hanger ball/downrod assembly (E).

□ Carefully feed the motor wires up through the
downrod (RR). Thread the downrod (RR) into the
collar.
□ Align the holes and replace clevis pin (CC) and cotter
pin (DD). Tighten the two collar setscrews (GG).
□ Slip coupling cover (F), canopy ring (B), and canopy
(C) onto the downrod (RR).
□ Carefully reinstall the hanger ball (QQ) onto the
downrod (RR). Ensure that the cross pin (EE) is in the
correct position, the setscrew (FF) is tightened and
the wires are not twisted.
WARNING: Failure to properly install the cotter pin (DD)
could result in the fan loosening and possibly falling.
NOTE: If a longer downrod (not included) is needed, take
out the screw located in the hanger ball (QQ), lower the
hanger ball (QQ) and remove the pin (EE). Remove all three
pieces from the downrod and assemble them onto the new
longer downrod before proceeding to the downrod
installation.

□ Remove the canopy ring (B) from the canopy (C).
□ Remove the two non-slotted canopy mounting screws
with lock washers (BB) from the canopy (C), and
loosen the slotted canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (BB) on the canopy (C).
□ Remove the canopy bottom cover (D) from the
canopy (C).
□ Route the wires exiting from the top of the fan motor
assembly (G) through the canopy ring (B).
□ Make sure the slot openings of the canopy ring (B)
are on top, and then proceed to place the canopy ring
(B) and canopy (C) over the collar at the top of the fan
motor assembly (G).
□ Align the mounting holes on the bottom of the canopy
(C) with the holes on the top of the fan motor
assembly (G), and fasten using the three collar
mounting screws with lock washers (HH) previously
removed.
□ Tighten the collar mounting screws (HH) securely.
WARNING: Failure to completely tighten the three collar
mounting screws (HH) could result in the fan becoming loose
and possibly falling.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or
other personal injury, mount the fan only to an outlet box or
supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and
use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box.
WARNING: The tab in the ring must rest in the groove of
the hanger ball (E). Failure to properly seat the tab in the
groove could cause damage to the wiring.
WARNING: The hook is only to hold the fan while attaching
wiring. Failure to hang as instructed may result in the tab
breaking causing the fan to fall. The hook must pass from the
inside to the outside of the canopy.
□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (G) up to the
mounting bracket (A) and seat the hanger ball (E) in
the mounting bracket (A) socket. Make sure the tab
on the mounting bracket socket is properly seated in
the groove in the hanger ball (E). This will help to
balance the ceiling fan.
□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (G) up to the
mounting bracket (A) and hang the fan on the hook
provided using one of the holes at the outer rim of
the canopy (C).
□ Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the center
hole in the mounting bracket (A).
□ Attach the mounting bracket (A) on the outlet box
(OO) by sliding the mounting bracket (A) over the
screws provided with the outlet box. When using
“close-to-ceiling” mounting, it is important that the
mounting bracket (A) be level. If necessary, use
leveling washers (not included) between the
mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box (OO). Note
that the flat side of the mounting bracket (A) is
toward the outlet box (OO).
□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws.

Making the electrical
connections
WARNING: Check to see that all connections are tight,
including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire
nuts (except for the ground wire).
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do
not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure
electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring.

If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge
or experience, have your fan installed by a licensed
electrician.
Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your household
wiring. Use the plastic wire nuts (AA) with your fan. Secure the
plastic wire nuts (AA) with electrical tape. Make sure there are
no loose strands or connections.
□ Make wire connections as follows, using the wire nuts
(AA).

* There are two green grounding leads: one from the mounting

one side of the outlet box (OO) and the black and blue
wires will be on the other side. Carefully tuck the
connections up into the outlet box (OO).

WARNING: The locking slots of the canopy (C) are provided
only as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly
unattended until all four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (BB) are engaged and firmly tightened.
WARNING: Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket (A)
properly sits in the groove in the hanger ball (E) before
attaching the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A) by
turning the canopy (C) until it drops into place.
WARNING: Locking slots of the canopy (C) are provided
only as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly
unattended until all four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (BB) are engaged and firmly tightened.
□ Slide the canopy (C) up to the ceiling. Make sure you
have placed the wires safely into the outlet box (OO).
□ Secure the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A)
with the four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (BB) included with your fan.
□ Raise up canopy ring (B) and line up the four grooves
with the four screw heads on the canopy (C). Once
lined up, slide the canopy ring (B) and secure it to the
canopy (C) until snug.
□ Remove the fan from the hook on the mounting
bracket (A).
□ Secure the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A)
with the four canopy mounting screws with lock
washers (BB) provided.
□ Raise up canopy ring (B) and line up the four grooves
with the four screw heads on the canopy (C). Once
lined up, slide the canopy ring (B) and secure it to the
canopy (C) until snug.

□ The fan motor assembly (G) is shipped with rubber
packing mounts (SS) to prevent movement during
transportation. Remove the five rubber packing
mounts (SS) from the fan motor assembly (G) and
discard prior to attaching the blade arms (I).

the blade arms
□ Hold the blade (H) with hands close to the blade arm
(I), align the key-slot holes (TT) with the blade arm
posts (UU) and press the blade down firmly. Ensure
the key-slot holes (TT) are properly seated on the
blade arm posts (UU).
□ Firmly slide the blade (H) away from the blade arm (I)
until the blade (H) engages in the spring locking
mechanism (VV). Make sure the spring of the spring
locking mechanism (VV) is upward and the butt of the
spring locking mechanism (VV) is against the edge of
the blade.
NOTE: Your fan blades are reversible. Select the blade side
finish which best accentuates your decor.
To install the blade to the blade arm:
□ Press down the spring locking mechanism (VV) to
release the blade (H) from the blade arm (I). Slide the
blade (H) toward the blade arm (I) until the blade (H)
disengages from the spring locking mechanism (VV).
Carefully push the blade (H) up to detach from the
blade arm (I).
To detach the blade from the blade arm:
WARNING: Failure to properly seat the blades (H) on the
blade arms (I) and engage in the spring locking mechanism
(VV) could result in the fan blades (H) loosening and possibly
falling.

Fastening the blade
assemblies to the motor
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not
bend the blade arms (I) while installing, balancing the blades
(H), or cleaning the fan. Do not insert foreign objects between
rotating fan blades (H).
□ Fasten the blade assemblies to the fan motor
assembly (G) by lining up the slots (WW) of the motor
with the tabs on the blade arms (XX).
□ Tighten the two blade arm screws with lock washers
(II) already installed in the blade arms (I).
□ Repeat this procedure for the remaining blade arms
(I).

□ Remove one of the three light kit mounting plate
screws (KK) from the mounting ring (YY) and loosen
the other two screws (KK). (Do not remove)
□ Place the key holes in the light kit mounting plate (J)
over the two screws (KK) previously loosened from
the mounting ring (YY), and turn the light kit
mounting plate (J) until the light kit mounting plate
(J) locks in place at the narrow section of the key
holes.
□ Securely tighten the two light kit mounting plate
screws (KK) previously loosened and the one
previously removed.
CAUTION: Before starting installation, disconnect the
power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse
at the fuse box. Turning power off using the fan switch is not
sufficient to prevent electric shock.

Attaching the light kit assembly to
the light kit mounting plate
□ Feed two pull chains through eyelets on the light kit
housing.
□ While holding the light kit assembly (K) under the fan
motor assembly (G), snap together the wire
connection plugs (ZZ).
□ Position to the notches in the outer rim of the light kit
(K) to line up with the three holes on the light kit
mounting plate (J).
□ Carefully lift the light kit (K) into the light kit mounting
plate (J) and secure it to the fan by turning the light
kit (K) clockwise. The light kit will now rest attached
to the rest of the fan, keep one hand on the assembly
to ensure stability and install the three light kit mounting
screws (LL) previously removed. Be sure to tighten all
screws.

CAUTION: Before starting installation, disconnect the
power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse
at the fuse box. Turning power off using the fan switch is not
sufficient to prevent electric shock.

□ Disassemble the switch housing (AAA) from the light
kit assembly (K). You can keep the light kit for future
use.
□ While holding the switch housing (AAA) under the fan,
snap together the wire connection plugs (ZZ).
□ Attach the plastic plug (JJ) to the switch housing
(AAA).
□ Position to the notches in the outer rim of the switch
housing (AAA) to line up with the three holes on the
light kit mounting plate (J).
□ Carefully lift the switch housing (AAA) into the light kit
mounting plate (J) and secure it to the fan by turning
the switch housing (AAA) clockwise. The light kit will
now rest attached to the rest of the fan, keep one
hand on the assembly to ensure stability and install
the three light kit mounting screws (LL) previously
removed. Be sure to tighten all screws.

Operation
PULL CHAIN OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Install the pull chains and fobs (NN) onto the pull chains located in
the switch housing (AAA). Turn on the power and check the
operation of the fan.
The pull chain controls the fan speed as follows:
1 pull - High, 2 pulls - Medium, 3 pulls - Low, and 4 pulls - Off.
Speed settings for warm or cool weather depend on factors such
as the room size, ceiling height, and numbers of fans.
NOTE: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction
of the blade rotation.
REVERSE SWITCH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The reverse switch is located on the surface of the switch housing.
Slide the switch to the left for warm weather operation. Slide the
switch to the right for cool weather operation.
Warm weather - (Counterclockwise Direction) A downward air flow
creates a cooling effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner
on a warmer setting without affecting your comfort.
Cool weather - (Clockwise Direction) An upward air flow moves
warm air off the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit
on a cooler setting without affecting your comfort.

Troubleshooting
□ Check the support connections, brackets, and blade
attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure.
Because of the fan’s natural movement, some
connections may become loose over time. It is not
necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.
□ Clean your fan periodically. Use only a soft brush or
lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. The plating is
sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or
tarnishing.
□ (Optional) Apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood
blades.
□ (Optional) Cover small scratches with a light application of
shoe polish.
Do
□ Use water when cleaning. Water could damage the motor,
or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock.
□ Apply oil to your fan or motor. The motor has
permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.
Do not
WARNING: Make sure the power is off at the electrical
panel box before you attempt any repairs. Refer to step 6
“Making the Electrical Connections” on page 12.
Problem Solution
□ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.
□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.
□ Make sure all motor housing screws are snug.
□ Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade arm to the motor hub are tight.
□ Make sure wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch
housing.
□ Allow a 24-hour "breaking-in" period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this
time.
□
If using the ceiling light kit, make sure the glassware are secured tight. Check that the light bulb is also
secure.
□
Make sure there is a short distance from the ceiling to the canopy. It should not touch the ceiling.
□
Make sure your ceiling box is secure and rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting bracket
and outlet box.
The fan will not start.
The fan sounds noisy.

The fan wobbles.
□
Verify that all blades and blade bracket screws are secure (most fan wobble problems are caused by
loose parts). Once the fan is properly installed, run the ceiling fan for 10 minutes to let the fan
self-adjust.
If wobble occurs after running the fan for 10 minutes, verify blade level using the following process:
- Select a point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades, then select any fan blade and
measure from the center of the selected blade to the point on the ceiling. Rotate the fan until the next
blade is positioned and repeat the measurement using the same point from the ceiling for every blade.
Measurement deviations should be within 1/8 in..
- If all deviations are less than 1/8 in. and the fan continues to wobble, please call Customer Service

compensación de las aspas o limpieza del ventilador.

usa sólo los tornillos incluidos con la caja eléctrica.
ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio,
descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, monta el ventilador
sobre la caja eléctrica marcada como “aprobada como
soporte de ventilador” y usa los tornillos de montaje que
vienen con la misma.
Sin embargo, no es posible garantizar que el equipo no provoque
interferencias en una instalación particular. Si este equipo
provoca interferencias perjudiciales a la recepción de radio o
televisión, lo que puede determinarse encendiéndolo y
apagándolo, es recomendable intentar corregir dichas
interferencias mediante una o varias de las siguientes medidas:
- Vuelva a orientar o cambie de lugar la antena receptora.
- Aumente la separación entre el equipo y el receptor.
- Conecte el equipo en una toma de corriente en un circuito
diferente al que el receptor está conectado.

1. Para disminuir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, asegúrate de
que la electricidad ha sido apagada en el cortacircuitos o la
caja de fusibles antes de comenzar la instalación.
2. Todo el cableado debe cumplir con el Código Nacional de
Electricidad "ANSI/NFPA 70" y con los códigos locales de
electricidad. La instalación eléctrica debe ser hecha por un
electricista certificado y calificado.
3. La caja eléctrica y estructura de soporte deben montarse de
forma segura y tener capacidad para sostener de manera
confiable un mínimo de 35 libras (15,9 kg) o menos. Usa
solamente cajas eléctricas aprobadas por UL marcadas como
“PARA SOPORTE DE VENTILADOR”.
4. El ventilador debe ir montado con un mínimo de 7 pies (2,1m)
de separación entre el borde trasero de las aspas y el piso.
5. Evita colocar objetos en la trayectoria de las aspas.
6. Para evitar lesiones físicas o daños al ventilador y otros
artículos, ten cuidado al limpiar o trabajar cerca del ventilador.
7. No usar agua o detergentes al limpiar el ventilador o las aspas.
Para la limpieza, será adecuado un paño seco para quitar el
polvo o ligeramente humedecido.
8. Después de concluir con las conexiones eléctricas, debes
voltear los conductores empalmados hacia arriba y empujarlos

estar separados, con el cable a tierra y el conductor a tierra del

INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE DOBLE
Este ventilador de techo viene con dos tipos de ensamblajes de soporte: la
instalación de techo estándar con tubo bajante y bola y soporte de
montaje; y el montaje “cerca del techo”. El montaje “cerca del techo” se
recomienda en habitaciones con techos de menos de 2.44 metros de
altura o en áreas donde se desee espacio adicional entre el piso y las
aspas del ventilador.
Cuando uses una instalación con un tubo bajante estándar, la distancia
desde el techo a la parte inferior de las aspas será aproximadamente de
30.5 cm. La instalación “cerca del techo” reduce la distancia desde el
techo a la parte inferior de las aspas a 22.9 cm aproximadamente.
Una vez que hayas elegido el tipo de instalación en techo, adáptate a las
secciones y procedimientos correspondientes durante el período de
ensamblaje. Cuando sea necesario, cada sección de las instrucciones
indicará los diferentes procedimientos a seguir para los dos tipos de
instalación.

Para colgar el ventilador donde ya haya una lámpara pero
ninguna viga de techo, tal vez necesites una barra de instalación
colgante (PP) (no provistas) como se muestra arriba.
Si tu ventilador de techo no posee una caja de montaje aprobada
por UL, instala una siguiendo las instrucciones a continuación:
□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando los
cortacircuitos.
□ Fija la caja eléctrica (OO) (no provistas) directamente a la
estructura del edificio. Usa sujetadores y materiales (no
provistas) apropiados. La caja eléctrica y su soporte deben
sostener completamente el peso en movimiento del
ventilador (al menos 35 libras). No uses una caja eléctrica
de plástico.
Las ilustraciones a continuación muestran tres formas diferentes
de montar la caja eléctrica (OO) (no provistas).
ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio,
descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, monta el ventilador
sobre una caja eléctrica marcada como “aprobada como

□ Retira el pasador tipo horquilla (DD) y pasador de
chaveta (CC), y afloja los dos tornillos de ajuste de
collarín (GG) del collarín del motor.
□ Retira el tornillo de fijación (FF) de la bola de soporte
(QQ), bájala y retira el pasador transversal (EE). Quita
la bola de soporte (QQ) del ensamblaje del tubo
bajante/bola de soporte (E).
ADVERTENCIA: Si no instalas correctamente el pasador
de chaveta (DD) es posible que el ventilador se afloje y caiga.
NOTA: Si necesitas un tubo bajante más largo (no incluido),
retira el tornillo de la bola de soporte (QQ), bájala y retira el
pasador (EE). Retira las tres piezas del tubo bajante y
ensámblalas en un tubo bajante nuevo más largo antes de
continuar con la instalación de este.
□ Con cuidado, introduce los cables del motor hacia
arriba a través del tubo bajante (RR). Enrosca el tubo
bajante (RR) en el collarín.
□ A continuación, alinea los orificios y reemplaza el
pasador tipo horquilla (CC) y el pasador de chaveta
(DD). Ajusta los dos tornillos de fijación del collarín
(GG).
□ Desliza la cubierta del acoplamiento (F), el anillo de la

en una caja eléctrica o sistema de soporte aprobados para
ventiladores y usa los tornillos de montaje que vienen con la
caja eléctrica.
ADVERTENCIA: La pestaña en el anillo debe encajar en la
ranura de la bola de soporte (E). Si la pestaña no se asienta
correctamente en la ranura, se puede dañar el cableado.
ADVERTENCIA: El gancho sólo es para sostener el
ventilador mientras se conectan los cables. Si no se cuelga
como se indica, puede romperse la pestaña, y el ventilador se
caerá. El gancho debe pasar de adentro hacia fuera de la
cubierta.
□ Levanta con cuidado el ensamblaje del motor (G)
hacia el soporte de montaje (A) y encaja la bola de
soporte (E) en el soporte de montaje (A). Asegúrate
de que la pestaña del soporte de montaje (A) encaje
bien dentro de la ranura de la bola de soporte (E).
Esto ayudará a compensar el ventilador de techo.
□ Con cuidado alza el ensamblaje del motor (G) hacia el
soporte de montaje (A) y cuelga el ventilador en el
gancho suministrado usando uno de los orificios en el
borde exterior de la cubierta (C).
□ Pasa los cables de suministro de 120 voltios a través
del orificio central en el soporte de montaje (A).
□ Monta el soporte de montaje (A) sobre la caja
eléctrica (OO) deslizando el soporte de montaje (A)
sobre los tornillos suministrados con la caja eléctrica.
Cuando uses el montaje “cerca del techo” es
importante que el soporte de montaje (A) esté
nivelado. Si fuera necesario, utiliza arandelas
niveladoras (no incluidas) entre el soporte de montaje
(A) y la caja eléctrica (OO). Fíjate que el lado plano del
soporte de montaje (A) esté hacia la caja eléctrica
(OO).
□ Ajusta firmemente los dos tornillos de montaje.

Montaje estándar en techo
□ Desliza la cubierta (C) hacia el techo. Asegúrate de

arandelas (BB) incluidas con tu ventilador.

ranuras con las 4 cabezas de tornillo de la cubierta
(C). Una vez alineadas, deslice el anillo de la cubierta
(B) y fíjelo a la cubierta (C) hasta que quede ajustado.
ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la pestaña del soporte
de montaje (A) encaje bien dentro de la ranura de la bola de
soporte (E) antes de sujetar la cubierta (C) al soporte de
montaje (A), girando la cubierta (C) hasta que encaje en su
lugar.

Cómo retirar los soportes de
embalaje de goma
□ El ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (G) se envía
con soportes de embalaje de goma (SS) para evitar
que se muevan durante el transporte. Retira los cinco
soportes de embalaje de goma (SS) del ensamblaje
del motor del ventilador (G) y deséchalos antes de
montar los brazos de las aspas (I).
Cómo montar las aspas a los
brazos de las aspas
ADVERTENCIA: Si no instalas correctamente las aspas (H)
en los brazos de estas (I) y activas el mecanismo de cierre de
los resortes (VV), se pueden aflojar las aspas del ventilador
(H) y posiblemente se caigan.
□ Sostén el aspa (H) con ambas manos cerca del brazo
del aspa (I), alinea los orificios tipo ojo de cerradura
(TT) con los postes del brazo del aspa (UU) y presiona
el aspa hacia abajo firmemente. Asegúrate de que los
orificios tipo ojo de cerradura (TT) estén
correctamente apoyados sobre los postes del brazo
del aspa (UU).
□ Desliza el aspa (H) hacia el lado opuesto del brazo del
esta (I) con firmeza, hasta que el aspa (H) se acople
al mecanismo de cierre con resorte (VV). Asegúrate
de que el resorte del mecanismo de cierre con
resorte (VV) esté hacia arriba y el tope de este
mecanismo de cierre con resorte (VV) esté apoyado
sobre el borde del aspa.
Cómo conectar las aspas a los brazos de estas:
□ Presiona el mecanismo de cierre con resorte (VV)
para liberar el aspa (H) del brazo de esta (I). Desliza
el aspa (H) hacia el brazo del ésta (I) hasta que el
aspa (H) se desenganche del mecanismo de cierre
con resorte (VV). Con cuidado, empuja el aspa (H)
hacia arriba para separarla del brazo de ésta (I).

Cómo ajustar los ensamblajes
de las aspas al motor
ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones
personales, no doblar los brazos del aspa (I) durante la
instalación, compensación de las aspas (H) o limpieza del
ventilador. No insertes objetos extraños entre las aspas (H)
en funcionamiento.
□ Aprieta los ensamblajes de aspas al ensamblaje del
motor del ventilador (G) alineando las ranuras del
motor (WW) con las pestañas en los brazos de las
aspas (XX).
□ Ajusta los dos tornillos del brazo del aspa y las
arandelas de seguridad (II) ya instaladas en los
brazos de las armas (I).
□ Repite este procedimiento con los brazos del aspa (I)
restantes.

Funcionamiento
INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL
INTERRUPTOR DE CADENA
Instala la interruptores de cadena y colgantes (NN) en los
interruptores de cadena ubicados en la caja del interruptor (AAA).
Enciende la electricidad y verifica el funcionamiento del ventilador.
El interruptor de cadena controla las velocidades del ventilador de
la siguiente manera: 1 vez: Alto, 2 veces: Medio, 3: Bajo y 4:
Apagado.
Las configuraciones de velocidad para clima cálido o frío
dependen de factores como tamaño de la habitación, altura del
techo y cantidad de ventiladores.
NOTA: Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de
invertir la dirección de giro de las aspas.
Clima cálido - (Hacia la izquierda) Un flujo de aire hacia abajo crea
un efecto refrescante. Esto te permite fijar tu aire acondicionado
en una configuración más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.
Clima frío - (Hacia la derecha) Un flujo de aire hacia arriba mueve
el aire cálido lejos del techo. Esto te permite fijar tu unidad de
calefacción en una configuración más baja sin afectar tu
comodidad.
El Interruptor de Reversa está ubicado en la superficie de la caja
del interruptor. Desliza el interruptor hacia a la izquierda para
funcionamiento en clima cálido. Desliza el interruptor hacia a la
derecha para funcionamiento en clima fresco.

El ventilador hace ruido.
□ Uses agua al limpiarlo. El agua puede dañar el motor o
la madera, o causar descargas eléctricas.
□ Apliques lubricador al ventilador o al motor. El motor
tiene cojinetes de bola sellados permanentemente
lubricados.
□ Revisa las conexiones de soporte, soportes y accesorios
de aspas dos veces al año. Verifica que estén seguros.
Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas
conexiones pueden aflojarse con el tiempo. No es
necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.
□ Limpia tu ventilador con frecuencia. Usa solamente un
cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el
acabado. El revestimiento está sellado con laca para
minimizar la decoloración u opacidad.
□ (Opcional) Aplica una fina capa de pulimento para
muebles a la madera de las aspas.
□ (Opcional) Cubre los arañazos pequeños con una leve
aplicación de lustrador para calzado.
No hacer
□ Verifica fusibles o disyuntores principales y secundarios.
□ Verifica conexiones de cables en línea al ventilador y conexiones de cables del interruptor en la caja del
interruptor.
□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.
□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el brazo del aspa del ventilador al cuerpo del motor están bien
ajustados.
□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras o con la pared interior
de la caja del interruptor.
□ Permite un período de 24 horas de “adaptación”. La mayoría de los ruidos asociados con un nuevo
ventilador desaparecen en ese período.
□ Si usas el kit de luces de techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos sujetadores estén bien ajustados. Verifica
que la bombilla también esté bien asegurada.
□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debería tocar el techo.
□ Asegúrate de que tu caja del techo esté bien segura y las almohadillas aislantes de goma se hayan
instalado entre el soporte de montaje y la caja eléctrica.
ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la electricidad esté
cortada en el panel de electricidad antes de intentar hacer
reparaciones. Consulta el paso 6 “Cómo Hacer las Conexiones
Eléctricas” en la página 12.

El Ventilador oscila.
□
Verifica que todas las aspas y los tornillos de los soportes de aspas estén seguros (la mayoría de los
problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a piezas sueltas). Una vez que el ventilador ha sido
instalado correctamente, enciéndelo durante 10 minutos para que se autoajuste.
Si luego de 10 minutos de estar encendido el ventilador aún oscilara, verifica el nivel de las aspas
utilizando el siguiente procedimiento:
- Ubica un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas, luego elige cualquier aspa del
ventilador y mide desde el centro del aspa seleccionada hasta el punto en el techo. Rota el ventilador
hasta que la siguiente aspa esté posicionada y repite la medición utilizando el mismo punto en el techo
para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición deben estar dentro de 3.2 mm.
- Si todas las desviaciones son menores a 3.2 mm y el ventilador continúa oscilando, llama al servicio
al cliente al (
1-800-986-3460) para ordenar sin costo alguno un kit de compensación de aspas.
- Si la desviación es mayor a 3.2 mm, llama al servicio al cliente al (
1-800-986-3460) para ordenar sin
costo alguno los reemplazos de los soportes.
