will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

he electronic components inside the control unit will heat up whilst operating the heating pad. Therefore
never cover the control unit or place it onto the heating pad during operation.

he electronic and magnetic fields emitted by this heating pad may interfere with the function of a
pacemaker. However, they are still well below the limits for electrical field strength (5000 V/m max),
magnetic field strength (80 A/m max), and magnetic flux density (0.1 millitesla max). Please consult
your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heating pad.

4� Intended Use
This heating pad is intended for applying heat to the human body. Heat therapy is a natural way to relieve joint
pain and pain associated with muscle tension and stress. It has been clinically proven that applying heat to
a vulnerable area helps soothe sore muscles, relieve cramps and spasms. Any use not described above, or
modifications of the heating pad are not permissible and may lead to injury and /or damage to the heating
pad. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage due to improper use.
Safety System
The heating pad is equipped with a safety system. The electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface
of the heating pad from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system
switches the heating pad off automatically due to a fault, then the heating indicator light on the controller is
no longer illuminated, even if the heating pad is switched on.
NOTICE
• P
lease note that, for safety reasons, the heating pad must not be used after a fault and must be returned
to the service address indicated.
• N
ever connect the defective heating pad to another controller of the same type. This would also result in
a permanent shutdown by the safety system in the controller.
5� To Use
NOTICE
• T
he heating pad may smell of plastic the first time you use it, but this will disappear after a short period
of time.
To begin, first connect the control connector to the heating pad connector.

The control connector must be connected to the heating pad connector before plugging the unit into an
electrical outlet. After connecting the heating pad connector to the control connector, plug the unit into a
120V AC electrical outlet.
Switching On
Set the controller to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 to switch on the heating pad.
NOTICE
• T
he heat indicator light illuminates after the heating pad is switched on.
•
T
his heating pad features rapid heating, which allows it to heat up within the first 10 minutes of operation.
Switching Off
Set the controller to 0 to switch off the heating pad.
NOTICE
• The heat indicator light will switch off.
Selecting Temperature
Just before using the heating pad, set it to the highest temperature setting (setting 6). This will cause
the heating pad to warm up quickly. When using the heating pad for several hours, set it to the lowest
temperature setting (setting 1).
Automatic shut-off
The heating pad switches itself off automatically after about 120 minutes. The heat indicator light then
starts to flash. Then select the setting 0 and after about 5 seconds, reset the heating pad to the desired
temperature setting to switch it on again.
If the heating pad is no longer used after the timer expires:

witch off the heating pad (setting 0),
• U
nplug from electrical outlet,
• D
isconnect the controller from the heating pad.

Washing Instructions
DO NOT DRY CLEAN! DO NOT USE BLEACH! DO NOT USE WRINGER! DO NOT IRON YOUR HEATING
PAD!
If the heating pad is slightly soiled, use a dampen cloth and some mild detergent, if necessary. Use a dry,
lint-free cloth for controller cleaning and care.

isconnect power cord. DO NOT pull by the cord.

isengage pad/controller connectors.

M
achine wash heating pad in warm water on gentle cycle; tumble dry on medium heat. Remove promptly
from the dryer. Or, hand wash in warm water and line dry.
5.
R
eshape the still damp heating pad to the original size immediately after washing, and dry flat, spread
on a clothes drying rack.
6.
D
O NOT reconnect the controller to the heating pad until the control connector and the heating pad are
completely dry.

•
Never immerse the controller in water or other liquids. It may otherwise be damaged.
•
Do NOT use chemical cleaning or scouring agents to clean the heating pad and controller. The
heating pad and controller may otherwise be damaged.
•
Do not hang the heating pad up to dry with pegs or similar items. The heating pad may otherwise
be damaged.
Storage
NOTICE
•
Let the heating pad cool before Storing. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
•
To prevent the heating pad from becoming sharply creased, do not store other objects on top of the
heating pad. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
•
If you do not intend to use the heating pad for any length of time, store it in the original packaging
in a dry environment and without weighing it down.
•
Disconnect the mains connection from the heating pad.
Disposal
Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with local regulations.
If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.

Limited Lifetime Warranty For Original Purchaser
Your Beurer Premium Microplush Heating Pad, model UHP 26, is warranted to be free from defects in materials
and workmanship for the life of the product under normal conditions of intended use and service. This
warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser and does not extend to retailers or subsequent owners.
We will, at our option, repair or replace the Beurer Premium Microplush Heating Pad, model UHP 26, without
additional charge, for any part or parts covered by these written warranties. No refunds will be given. Repair
or replacement is our only responsibility and your only remedy under this written warranty. If replacement
parts for defective materials are not available, Beurer reserves the right to make product substitutions in lieu
of repair or replacement.
For warranty service contact our customer service department at 1-800-536-0366 or at info@beurer.com to
provide a description of the problem. If the problem is deemed to be within the scope of the limited lifetime
warranty, you will be asked to mail the product at your costs in its original package with proof of purchase,
your name, address and phone number. If the problem is not deemed to be within the scope of the limited
lifetime warranty, we will provide a quotation for repair respectively replacement and return shipping fee.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of unauthorized
accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; misapplication; lack of reasonable care with respect

to the product; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; old worn
batteries; normal wear; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part as a
result of failure to comply with instructions for use or to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance;
transit damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the
product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that
are beyond the control of Beurer. This warranty is void if the product is ever used in a commercial or business
environment. The maximum liability of Beurer under this warranty is limited to the purchase price actually paid
by the customer for the product covered by the warranty, as confirmed by proof of purchase, regardless of
the amount of any other direct or indirect damage suffered by the customer.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product
is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adaptation to enable it to operate in any other country
than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products
damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

4� Uso previsto
Esta almohadilla térmica está diseñada para aplicar calor al cuerpo humano. La terapia de calor es una forma
natural de aliviar el dolor articular y el dolor asociado con la tensión y el estrés muscular. Se ha demostrado
clínicamente que aplicar calor en una zona vulnerable ayuda a aliviar los músculos adoloridos, los calambres y
los espasmos. No se permite ningún uso no descrito anteriormente ni ninguna modificación de la almohadilla
térmica, ya que pueden provocar lesiones o daños en esta. El fabricante no asume ninguna responsabilidad
por los daños ocasionados por el uso indebido.
Sistema de seguridad
La almohadilla térmica está equipada con un sistema de seguridad. La tecnología de sensores electrónicos
evita el sobrecalentamiento de toda la superficie de la almohadilla térmica mediante el apagado automático
en caso de falla. Si el sistema de seguridad apaga automáticamente la almohadilla térmica debido a una
falla, la luz del controlador que indica el calentamiento ya no se iluminará, incluso cuando la almohadilla
térmica esté encendida.

5� Uso

a almohadilla térmica puede oler a plástico la primera vez que la utilice, pero este olor desaparecerá
transcurrido un breve periodo de tiempo.
Para empezar, conecte el conector de control al conector de la almohadilla térmica.

El conector de control debe estar conectado al conector de la almohadilla térmica antes de enchufar la
unidad a la toma de corriente. Después de conectar el conector de la almohadilla térmica al conector de
control, enchufe la unidad a una toma de corriente alterna de 120V.
Encendido
Seleccione 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 o 6 en el controlador para encender la almohadilla térmica.

Selección de la temperatura
Seleccione la temperatura más alta (número6 en el controlador) justo antes de utilizar la almohadilla
térmica. De esta forma, la almohadilla térmica se calentará rápidamente. Cuando utilice la almohadilla
térmica durante varias horas, seleccione la temperatura más baja (número1 en el controlador).
Apagado automático
La almohadilla térmica se apagará automáticamente después de unos 120minutos. A continuación, la
luz indicadora de calor empezará a parpadear. Cuando esto suceda, seleccione el ajuste0 y, después
de aproximadamente 5segundos, restablezca la temperatura deseada en la almohadilla térmica para
encenderla de nuevo.
Si la almohadilla térmica ya no se utiliza una vez transcurrido el tiempo fijado en el temporizador:

6� Cuidado, mantenimiento y desecho
Instrucciones de lavado

Si la almohadilla térmica está ligeramente sucia, utilice un paño humedecido y un poco de detergente suave
si es necesario. Utilice un trapo seco y sin pelusa para la limpieza y cuidado del controlador.

Retírela inmediatamente de la secadora. O bien, lave a mano en agua caliente y séquela al aire libre.

uelva a dar forma a la almohadilla térmica mientras esté húmeda para que recupere su tamaño original
inmediatamente después de lavarla, y séquela extendida sobre un tendero.

O vuelva a conectar el controlador a la almohadilla térmica hasta que el conector de control y la
almohadilla térmica estén completamente secos.
