PREPARATION OF CLOTHING
Before using the steamer, always check the care instructions on the
garment'slabel. The steamer can be used on all materials marked
with an iron symbol, such as synthetic fibres (viscose, polyester), silk,
wool, cotton, linen, etc.
If the garment care instructions prohibit ironing, do not use this
steamer to smooth the garment. Otherwise, the garment could
become damaged.
Do not use the steamer on leather, velvet, impregnated furniture or
steam-sensitive materials. Irreversible damage may occur.
Clothing is easier to de-wrinkle if properly spread out after washing.
Hang clothes on hangers to minimise wrinkles during drying.
If unsure whether agarment is suitable for steam smoothing, test
the steamer on an old piece of fabric or an inconspicuous part of the
garment, such as the inner seam.
Hang the garment on ahanger. Ensure there is sufficient space behind
the fabric for air circulation to prevent moisture buildup. Also, check
that there are no heat- or moisture-sensitive items near the garment
that could be damaged by steam.
Check that pockets are empty and that tabs such as cuffs and hems
are turned downward.

asmall piece of cloth or towel to remove these residues.

Warning:
HOT SURFACE AND HOT STEAM!
Take extra care when using and handling the steamer.
The steaming surface and the steam temperature
are very hot. Serious injury and burns can occur with
improper handling.
Never touch the steaming surface with your hands! Do
not steam clothes directly on yourself or on others!
Note:
If the steamer stops producing steam during use, it
needs to be refilled with water. Turn off the steamer,
allow it to cool down and refill the water according to
the instructions in the "FILLING THE WATER TANK"
section.
Straightening of Garments
1. Hang the garment you want to smooth on ahanger. Hang trousers
by their ends.
2. Place the heated steamer against the garment and press the steam
release button.
3. With your free hand, grasp the garment from underneath and gently
stretch it. At the same time, move the steamer from top to bottom to
straighten the fibres of the garment. Repeat as necessary.
If the garment has metal accessories such as zips, buttons, etc., be
careful not to use the steamer directly over the metal. Discoloration of
the metal or corrosion may occur.
For shirts with buttons, button the top button on the collar to help
straighten the fabric. Move the steamer horizontally back and forth
along the collar.
When steaming the sleeves, start at the shoulder area and move the
steamer downwards. Steam and simultaneously stretch the sleeve
downwards with your other hand.
For shirt pockets, move the steamer upwards against the fabric.
For dresses with ruffles, pleats, gathers, or sequins, keep the steamer
at ashort distance from the fabric.
Fabrics absorb moisture during steam smoothing. After steam
smoothing, always allow the garments to dry completely before
wearing them.
Warning:
Never put your free hand under the garment where you
guide the steamer. Serious burns may occur due to
very hot steam.
Steaming of Upholstery, Curtains, Cushions, etc.
Before steaming curtains or drapes, ensure there are no power sockets
behind them.
Before steaming, always perform atest on asmall, inconspicuous
area.
Steam curtains and drapes while they are hanging. There is no need
to remove them before steaming. Follow the same procedure as for
straightening garments.
Curtains made from heavier fabrics will require more time to steam
and smooth than curtains made from fine fabrics.
Steam Ironing
The steamer can be used for steam ironing on an ironing board.
However, before steam ironing, make sure that the garment is suitable
for regular ironing at ahigh temperature. This information is provided
on the care label of the garment.
Spread the garment on the ironing board and place the steamer.
Follow the same procedure as for straightening garments, just move
the steamer back and forth.
Using the Brush Attachment
The brush attachment is used for removing hair, pet hair, lint, fabric
fibres etc. from clothing.
Hang the garment on ahanger and use short strokes of the brush
attachment from top to bottom to remove dirt from the garment. These
will be caught by the bristles of the brush.
