• Thread cutting tap M18 x 1.5: Use this to chase 18mm threads. If the 02 sensor is remove and the 18mm
threads are damaged but repairable, use this tap to chase and clean the threads to install new 02 sensor.
• Piloted reamer M18 x 1.5: This is step 1 if the existing 18mm threads are non repairable. Use the piloted
reamer to take down and center the damaged 18mm threads in preparation for the M20 tap.
• Thread cutting tap M20 x 1.5: This is step 2, or in some cases if the existing threads do not require reaming,
then can be used solely. Tap the existing hole with the M20 tap, the thread pitch remains 1.5, so new thread
grooves are not made – they are just made deeper/large diameter.
• Screw in tool for insert nut M18 x 1.5: Used with screw sleeve to install nut inserts. Allows the insert to be
tightened into new M20 hole without the insert backing out when the tool is removed/unthreaded.
• Screw sleeve: Keeps the insert in place when screw tool is removed.
• 5 Insert nuts with collar M18x1.5 / M20x1.5: These are M20x1.5 OD M18x1.5 ID inserts. Install into newly
tapped M20 hole – install 02 sensor into the this insert once installed with screw tool.
