specically designed to achieve super-smooth compression and endless
sustain. Thanks to its high-performance features you can compress loud
and boost low signals without degrading the original sound.
A compressor limits the dynamic range of a signal. This means that
signal peaks will be attenuated and the level dierences between
loudest and softest playing are reduced. This results in a more powerful
and pressure-rich tone.
1. Controls
(1) The LEVEL control adjusts the output level.
(2) Turn up the TONE control to achieve more presence and
soundclarity.
(3) The ATTACK control determines how fast the compressor reacts
on the input signal. The attack time is sweepable between slow
and fast.
(4) The SUSTAIN control determines the amount of compression that
results in long-lasting tones.
(5) The ON/BATT LED illuminates when the eect is activated. It also
serves as a battery level indicator.
(6) Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the eect.
(7) Use this ¼" TS IN connector to plug in the instrument cable.
(8) The ¼" TS OUT connector sends the signal to your amp.
Use the DC IN connection at the front of the unit to plug in a 9 V power
supply (not included).

COMPRESSOR/SUSTAINER CS400
The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located underneath the pedal cover.
To install or replace the 9 V battery, press the hinges with a ballpen and
remove the pedal cover. Be careful not to scratch the unit.
◊ ◊ The CS400 has no on/o switch. As soon as you insert
thejack into the in connector, the CS400 begins running.
Whennot using the CS400, remove the jack from the
inconnector. This extends the life of the battery.
The SERIAL NUMBER is located at the bottom.

de efectos ha sido diseñado para proporcionarte una compresión
supersuave y un sustain innito. Sus excepcionales características te
permiten comprimir señales fuertes y aumentar señales débiles sin

Un compresor restringe el rango dinámico de una señal, es decir,

Behringer. Cette pédale d’eet est spécialement conçue pour doter ton
son d’une compression souple et d’un sustain inni. Grâce à ses hautes
performances, elle te permet de densier et d’amplier les signaux
faibles sans en modier la couleur originale.
Un compresseur réduit la dynamique des signaux en abaissant le
niveau des crêtes, ce qui revient à réduire la diérence de niveau entre
les moments forts et faibles de ton jeu. Le résultat est un son dense,
compact et plus puissant.
1. Commandes
(1) La commande LEVEL détermine le niveau de sortie.
(2) Utilise le bouton TONE pour ajouter de la présence et de la clarté
à ton son.
(3) Le potentiomètre ATTACK dénit la vitesse
de réaction du compresseur en fonction
du niveau du signal entrant. Le réglage s’étend de rapide à lent.
(4) La commande SUSTAIN règle l’intensité de la compression,
autrement dit l’allongement de la durée des sons (sustain).
(5) La LED ON/BATT reste allumée tant que l’eet est actif. Elle sert
également de témoin d’état de la pile.
(6) Appuie sur le commutateur pour activer ou désactiver l’eet.
(7) Branche le câble de ton instrument dans l’entrée IN sur jack
asymétrique.
(8) Relie la sortie OUT sur jack asymétrique à l’entrée de ton ampli.
Utilise le connecteur DC IN pour le branchement d’un bloc
d’alimentation de 9 V (non inclus).
Le COMPARTIMENT PILE est situé sous le capot de la pédale.
Pourinstaller ou remplacer la pile 9 V, appuie sur les axes de la charnière
avec un stylo-bille et retire le capot de la pédale en veillant à ne
pas la rayer.

laute Signale zu komprimieren und leise Signale hervorzuheben, ohne die

Ein Kompressor reduziert den Dynamikumfang eines Signals.
Lautstärkespitzen werden abgesenkt, wodurch der Unterschied
zwischen den lautesten und leisesten Passagen eines Signals verringert
wird. Auf diese Weise erlangt man einen wesentlich fetteren und
druckvolleren Klang.
1. Bedienungselemente
(1) Der LEVEL-Regler bestimmt die Ausgangslautstärke.
(2) Mit dem TONE-Regler kannst Du dem Signal mehr Präsenz und
Klarheit verleihen.
(3) Mit dem ATTACK-Regler bestimmst Du, wie schnell der
Kompressor auf das Eingangssignal reagiert. Die Attack-Zeit ist
stufenlos regelbar.
(4) Der SUSTAIN-Regler regelt die Intensität der Kompression,
wodurch die typischen, langanhaltenden Töne entstehen.
(5) Die ON/BATT-LED leuchtet, sobald der Eekt aktiviert ist.
Zusätzlich kannst Du den Batteriezustand überprüfen.
(6) Der Fußschalter dient zum Aktivieren/Deaktivieren des Eekts.
(7) Die 6,3-mm IN-Monoklinkenbuchse dient zum Anschluss
desInstruments.
(8) Die 6,3-mm OUT-Monoklinkenbuchse leitet das Signal an
DeinenVerstärker weiter.
Der DC IN-Anschluss rechts am Gerät dient zum Anschluss eines 9 V
Adapters (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).
Das BATTERIEFACH bendet sich unter dem Fußschalter.
Um die Batterie einzubauen oder auszutauschen, drücke
die Gelenke vorsichtig zusammen und entferne das Pedal.
Achte darauf, das Gerät nicht zu zerkratzen.
◊ ◊ Der CS400 hat keinen On/O-Schalter. Der CS400 ist

COMPRESSOR SUSTAINER CS400. Questo moderno pedale per eetti è
stato realizzato specialmente per creare una compressione compatta
ed un sustaininnito. Grazie alle numerose funzioni sarà possibile
comprimere segnali alti ed evidenziare segnali silenziosi senza
pregiudicare la qualità sonora del segnale originale.
Un compressore riduce il volume dinamico di un segnale. I picchi di
volume vengono abbassati riducendo così la dierenza tra i passaggi più
alti e silenziosi di un segnale. In questo modo si ottiene un suono molto
più corposo e sostanzioso.
1. Elementi di Comando
(1) Il regolatore LEVEL determina il volume di uscita.
(2) Con il regolatore TONE è possibile conferire al segnale più
presenza e chiarezza.
(3) Con il regolatore ATTACK si potrà determinare la velocità con
la quale il compressore debba reagire al segnale di ingresso.
Iltempo di attack è regolabile in modo continuo.
(4) Il regolatore SUSTAIN regola l’intensitò dell’eetto sustain.
(5) Il LED ON/BATT si accende non appena è attivato l’eetto.
Inoltrepotrai controllare lo stato dellabatteria.
(6) L’interruttore a pedale serve per attivare/disattivare l’eetto.
(7) Il monoattacco a nottolino IN da 6,3-mm serve per il
collegamento dello strumento.
(8) Il monoattacco a nottolino OUT da 6,3-mm trasmette il segnale al
tuo amplicatore.
L’attacco DC IN serve per il collegamento di un adattatore da 9 V

L’ALLOGGIAMENTO DELLE BATTERIE si trova sotto l’interruttore
a pedale. Per montare o sostituire la batteria è necessario premere
con cura le giunture con una penna e rimuovere il pedale. Prestare
attenzione a non graare l’apparecchio.
◊ ◊ CS400 non è dotato di alcun interruttore On/O. CS400 è
pronto al funzionamento non appena nell’attacco IN viene
inserito un cavo. Quando il CS400 non è in uso si prega di

eectpedaal is speciaal ontwikkeld, om compressie met veel druk en
een eindeloze sustain te krijgen. Dankzij talrijke features is het voor
jou mogelijk, harde signalen te comprimeren en zachte signalen naar
voren te laten komen, zonder de klankkwaliteit van het originele signaal
tebeïnvloeden.
Een compressor reduceert de dynamiekomvang van een signaal.

1. Bedieningselementen

Bovendien kun je de batterij-toestandcontroleren.
(6) De voetschakelaar dient voor het activeren/deactiveren van
heteect.
(7) De 6,3-mm IN-monostekkerbus dient voor de aansluiting van het
instrument.
(8) De 6,3-mm OUT-monostekkerbus leidt het signaal verder naar
je versterker.
De DC IN-aansluiting dient voor de aansluiting van een 9 V adapter
(behoort niet tot de levering).
Het BATTERIJVAK bevindt zich onder de voetschakelaar. Om de batterij
te plaatsen of te vervangen, moet u de scharnieren voorzichtig met een
ballpoint samendrukken en het pedaal verwijderen. Let erop, dat u geen
krassen achterlaat.
◊ ◊ De CS400 heeft geen On/O-schakelaar. De CS400 is klaar
voor gebruik, zodra er een kabel in de IN-bus zit. Trek de
stekker uit de IN-bus, wanneer de CS400 niet in gebruik is.
