IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles. Always wear oven mitts or use potholders
to handle hot appliances.
3 To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord or plugs, or popper base
in water or other liquids.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking o parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
7. Do not operate any appliance if the cord is damaged. Do not use this appliance if
the unit malfunctions, if it is dropped or has been damaged in any manner. In order
to avoid the risk of an electric shock, never try to repair the Popcorn Maker yourself.
Bring it to a qualied technician for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical
adjustment. An incorrect reassembly could present a risk of electric shock when
the Popcorn Maker is used.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may cause injuries.
9. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
10. Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Never leave the Popcorn Maker unattended when it is plugged into an outlet.
13. Always add raw kernels to the fully assembled Popcorn Maker before turning ON.
14. Never add more than one measuring cap/butter tray of kernels into the popping
chamber at one time.
15. To turn the Popcorn Maker OFF, Press the ON/OFF switch to OFF (O). Then remove
plug from wall outlet.
16. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
17. Extreme caution must be used when removing popped popcorn.
18. Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
WARNING: Do not add butter, oil, shortening, water, salt, sugar or seasoning or any
other substances other than raw popcorn kernels in the popping chamber as damage
will occur.
19. This Popcorn Maker will not shut o automatically.

SAFEGUARDS
CAUTION HOT SURFACES: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam during
use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, res or other
injury to persons or damage to property.
CAUTION: This Popcorn Maker is hot during operation and retains heat for some time
after turning OFF. Always use oven mitts when handling hot base and allow to cool
before cleaning. Do not place anything on top of the appliance while it is operating or
while it is hot
1. All users of this appliance must read and understand this instruction manual before
operating or cleaning this appliance.
2. The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a 120 V AC electrical outlet only.
3. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately press the ON/
OFF switch to OFF (O) and unplug the cord. Do not use or attempt to repair the
malfunctioning appliance.
4. CAUTION: Never place the Popcorn Maker’s clear lid or plastic lid cap in a microwave
oven.
5. NEVER use near water, damp or high humidity area.
6. NEVER put your face near the unit while popcorn is popping (especially near the
chute). Stay at least 40 inches away from the Popcorn Maker while corn is popping.
Extra caution is necessary when using this product near small children or pets.
7. NEVER put your hand in the unit while popcorn is popping. Wait at least 15 minutes
after the unit has been turned OFF.
8. Remove all un-popped kernels in the popping chamber before lling with fresh
kernels or next batch.
9. Never use microwave popcorn in this appliance. Use traditional kernels only.
WARNING: Popcorn is produced with kernels quickly. During this process it is normal
for some un-popped kernels to eject from the chute. DO NOT pick up these kernels
as they are very HOT!

NOTES ON THE PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
NOTES ON THE CORD
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to
reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be
used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

PLASTICIZER WARNING
CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating from the nish of the counter upper or
table upper or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the
appliance and the nish of the counter upper or table upper. Failure to do so may cause
the nish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur, or stains can appear.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR SOYUMMY HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Carefully unpack the Popcorn Maker and remove all packaging materials.
2. Wash measuring cap/butter tray and clean Popcorn Maker lid in warm, soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly.
3. Place the Popcorn Maker base on a clean, at, heat-resistant working surface.
CAUTION: During popping, the unit gets hot. Make sure the surface is able to withstand heat or use a trivet
to protect the working surface.
4. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove Popcorn Maker lid and measuring cap/butter tray. Fill one measuring cap with kernels and add
to popping chamber. (Figure 2) CAUTION: Never add more than 1 measuring cap of popcorn kernels to the
popping chamber at one time. Do not put any other ingredients such as oil, shortening, butter, margarine,
salt or sugar into popping chamber as damage will occur. Do not overll.
2. Place Popcorn Maker lid onto the Popcorn Maker base, positioning bottom edge of Popcorn Maker lid into
grooves of the base (Figure 3). Place measuring cap/butter tray onto Popcorn Maker Lid.
CAUTION: Never pop corn without Popcorn Maker lid and measuring cap/ butter tray in position.
3. Place a 5-qt. or larger bowl or rectangular container under the chute. (Figure 4) The bowl should not be more
than 6 inches high, so that air can circulate freely under the chute. Choose a heat-proof bowl. If a plastic bowl
is used, be sure it will withstand heat without melting. A metal bowl may become hot to the touch, but it will
tend to keep the popcorn warmer.
4. Plug unit into a 120 V AC outlet and press the ON/OFF switch to ON (|) (Figure 5).
5. The measuring cap/butter tray may be used to melt butter while the unit pops the kernels. (Figure 6)
For best results, cut butter into 1⁄4-inch (0.6 cm) slices. Allow butter to come to room temperature.
Never add more than 1⁄4 cup (50 ml) of butter to the measuring cap. Use the handle of the cap to remove
melted butter from the lid. Always wash and dry the measuring cap/butter tray after each batch of buttered
popcorn. Use a clean measuring cap to measure kernels.
6. Press the ON/OFF switch to OFF (O) and unplug the unit when popping is complete.
CAUTION: Never operate the Popcorn Maker when empty.
7. Due to variances in the popcorn type, freshness and moisture content, some popped or un-popped kernels
may remain in the popping chamber after the popping has stopped. To prevent scorching, unplug the
Popcorn Maker without waiting for this corn to clear the unit.
CAUTION: AS KERNELS MAY CONTINUE TO POP EVEN AFTER UNIT IS UNPLUGGED, MAKE SURE ALL
POPPING HAS STOPPED BEFORE REMOVING COVER.
CAUTION: USE OVEN MITTS WHEN HANDLING HOT SURFACES OF THE HOT AIR POPCORN MAKER.

FOR ADDITIONAL BATCHES
1. For additional batches, unplug unit. Make sure the popping chamber is empty. Carefully remove excess
popcorn or remaining un-popped kernels.
2. Allow 15 minutes for the Popcorn Maker to cool before continuing to pop additional batches of popcorn.
3. Then repeat the procedure described previously.
CAUTIONS
• This is a hot air Popcorn Maker. Never add oils, fats, shortening, sugar, or salt to the popping chamber.
• This Popcorn Maker is designed to be used with regular or premium hot air popcorn; do not use microwave
popcorn in this Popcorn Maker.
• Always use fresh hot air popcorn kernels; stale or dried-out kernels pop poorly and may cause scorching
or smoking.
• It is not necessary to preheat this appliance before using; never plug in or operate unit when empty.
• Never leave unit unattended while using.
• Always keep lid on base until all popping is complete. Unplug unit before removing the lid.
• Occasionally, a hot, un-popped kernel may be thrown from the chute. To avoid any contact with hot kernels,
keep face and hands away from the chute, and keep children away from the unit.
• Use oven mitts or potholders when handling hot surfaces.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself.
Contact a qualied appliance repair technician if the product requires servicing.
CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1 Unplug and allow unit to cool at least 10 to 15 minutes before cleaning.
2. Popcorn Maker lid and measuring cap/butter tray are dishwasher safe.
3. Wipe the Popcorn Maker base, including the popping chamber, clean and dry with a soft dry cloth.
4. Never immerse the Popcorn Maker base in water or other liquid.
5. Do not scour surfaces with steel wool or abrasive cleaners.
STORING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unplug unit and allow to cool.
2. Store fully assembled with Popcorn Maker lid in place.
3. Store in its box or in a clean, dry place.
4. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance. Do not put any stress on cord where it enters unit, as this
could cause cord to fray and break.

SENSIO Inc. hereby warrants that for a period of TWO YEARS from the date of purchase,
this product will be free from mechanical defects in material and workmanship, and for
90 days in respect to non-mechanical parts. At its sole discretion, SENSIO Inc. will either
repair or replace the product found to be defective, or issue a refund on the product
during the warranty period.
The warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail
purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is
required to obtain warranty validation. Retail stores selling this product do not have the
right to alter, modify, or in any way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
EXCLUSIONS:
The warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the
following: negligent use of the product, use of improper voltage or current, improper
routine maintenance, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair, or

law, any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular purpose is limited
in time to the duration of the warranty. Some states, provinces or jurisdictions do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations
on how long an implied warranty lasts, and therefore, the above exclusions or limitations
may not apply to you. The warranty covers specic legal rights which may vary by state,

DE SEGURIDAD

PRECAUCIÓN, SUPERFICIES CALIENTES: Este aparato genera calor y vapor mientras

PRECAUCIÓN: Esta máquina para hacer palomitas se calienta cuando está en

Use siempre guantes para horno al manipular la base caliente y deje que se enfríe

NOTAS SOBRE EL CABLE
a) Se debe suministrar un cable de alimentación (o un cable de alimentación
desconectable) a n de reducir los riesgos de enredarse o de tropezar con un cable
más largo.
b) Existen cables de alimentación desconectables más largos o cables de extensión que
se pueden utilizar si se tiene cuidado al hacerlo.
c) Si se utiliza un cable de alimentación desconectable largo o un cable de extensión,
deberá respetarse lo siguiente:
1) La clasicación eléctrica marcada en el cable de alimentación desconectable
o en el cable de extensión debe ser, como mínimo, igual a la clasicación

2) Si el aparato es del tipo con conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe

El producto puede diferir ligeramente del que aparece en las ilustraciones
ANTES DEL PRIMER USO
1. Desempaque con cuidado la máquina para hacer palomitas y retire todos los materiales de embalaje.
2. Lave la taza medidora o la bandeja para mantequilla y limpie la tapa de la máquina para hacer palomitas
con agua tibia y jabón; enjuague y seque bien.
3. Coloque la base de la máquina sobre una supercie de trabajo limpia, plana y resistente al calor.
PRECAUCIÓN: Durante el proceso de preparación, la unidad se calienta. Asegúrese de que la supercie
sea resistente al calor o utilice un trébede a n de proteger la supercie de trabajo.
INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
1. Retire la tapa de la máquina para hacer palomitas y la taza medidora o la bandeja para mantequilla.
Llene una taza medidora con granos y agréguelos a la cámara de cocción. (Figura 2)
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca agregue más de 1 taza medidora de granos de palomitas a la cámara de cocción
a la vez. No introduzca ningún otro ingrediente, como aceite, manteca, mantequilla, margarina, sal o azúcar
en la cámara de cocción, ya que se puede dañar. No la llene en exceso.
2. Coloque la tapa de la máquina para hacer palomitas en la base y el borde inferior de la tapa de la máquina
en las ranuras de la base (Figura 3). Coloque la taza medidora o la bandeja para mantequilla en la tapa
de la máquina.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca haga palomitas si la tapa de la máquina y la taza medidora o la bandeja para mantequilla
no están en su lugar.
3. Coloque un tazón de 5 cuartos o más grande, o un recipiente rectangular debajo del conducto. (Figura 4)
El tazón no debe tener más de 6 pulgadas de altura; de este modo, el aire podrá circular libremente debajo
del conducto. Elija un recipiente resistente al calor. Si se utiliza un recipiente de plástico, asegúrese de que
es resistente al calor y que no se derretirá.

4. Enchufe la unidad en un tomacorriente de 120 V de CA y coloque el interruptor de ON/OFF
(encendido/apagado) en la posición ON (|) (Figura 5).

6. Coloque el interruptor de ON/OFF (encendido/apagado) en la posición OFF (O) y desenchufe la unidad
cuando termine de hacer las palomitas.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca haga funcionar la máquina para hacer palomitas si está vacía.
7. Debido a las variaciones en el tipo de palomitas, la frescura y la humedad, es posible que algunos granos
estallados o no estallados permanezcan en la cámara de cocción después de que el estallido se haya
detenido. A n de evitar que se quemen, desenchufe la máquina para hacer palomitas y no espere a que
el maíz salga de la unidad.

PARA TANDAS ADICIONALES
1. Para tandas adicionales, desenchufe la unidad. Asegúrese de que la cámara de cocción esté vacía.

PRECAUCIONES
