Safety
Read these instructions.
Heed all warnings.
Follow all instructions.
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install
in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Do not install near any heat sources such as
radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including ampli�ers) that produce
heat.
Protect the power cord from being walked on
or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit
from the clock radio.
Only use attachments/accessories speci�ed
by the manufacturer.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms
or when unused for long periods of time.
Refer all servicing to quali�ed service
personnel. Servicing is required when the
apparatus has been damaged in any way,
such as power-supply cord or plug is
damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects
have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus
has been exposed to rain or moisture, does
not operate normally, or has been dropped.
Battery usage CAUTION - To prevent battery
leakage which may result in bodily injury,
property damage, or damage to the clock
radio:
Do not replace a battery with an incorrect type
that can defeat a safeguard (for example, some
lithium battery types).
Leaving a battery in an extremely high
temperature surrounding, or an extremely low
air pressure environment may result in an
explosion or leakage of �ammable liquid or
gas.
Install all batteries correctly, + and - as marked
on the unit.
Remove batteries if they are exhausted or if the
remote control (if included) is not to be used
for a long time.
Batteries contain chemical substances. They
should be disposed of properly.
If you suspect that a battery has been
swallowed or placed inside any part of the
body, seek immediate medical attention.
When you change the batteries, always keep
all new and used batteries out of reach of
children. Ensure that the battery compartment
is completely secure after you replace the
battery.
If the battery compartment cannot be
completely secured, discontinue use of the
product. Keep out of reach of children and
contact the manufacturer.
This clock radio shall not be exposed to
dripping or splashing.
Do not place any sources of danger on the
clock radio (e.g. liquid �lled objects, lighted
candles).
Where the plug of the Direct Plug-in Adapter
is used as the disconnect device, the
disconnect device shall remain readily
operable.
Please use the product safely in an environment
with temperature between 0°C and 45
°C.
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix
alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or recharge-
able (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if batteries are
incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the
same or equivalent type.
Battery in extreme high or low temperatures
during use, storage or transportation, and low
air pressure at high altitude can pose safety
hazards.

Get started
Always follow the instructions in this chapter in

Caution
Risk of product damage! Make sure that the power
voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the
back or underside of the clock radio.
Risk of electrical shock! When you unplug the power
cord, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull
the cord.
Connect power
Caution
Risk of explosion! Keep the batteries away from heat,
sunshine or �re. Never discard batteries in �re.
Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should
be disposed of properly.
Do not mix battery types: e.g. alkaline with carbon
zinc. Only use batteries of the same type for the set.
Note
The type plate is located at the bottom of the clock
radio.
Open the battery compartment at the
bottom of the unit.
Insert 2pcs AAA batteries (not supplied) with
correct polarity (+/-) as indicated, then close the
battery compartment.

Press to turn the unit on.
The radio switches to the FM source.
Press to switch the unit to Standby.
The time (if set) is displayed.
Adjust volume
While listening, press VOL /VOL to adjust
volume.

Set sleep timer
This clock radio can switch to standby mode
automatically after a preset period.
Press SLEEP to select a period (in minutes).
The clock radio switches to standby mode
automatically after the preset period.
To deactivate the sleep timer:
Press SLEEP until [OFF] (off) appears.

Note
You can only set time in standby mode.

In standby mode, press SET to activate the
clock setting mode, the “24H" to blink.
Press TUN /TUN to select <12H> or <24H>
hour format, then press
SET to con�rm, the
time will blink.
Press HOUR to set hour and press MIN to set
minute, then press
SET to con�rm.
The time is set.

Note
lf no button is pressed in approx 10 seconds, the unit
exits clock setting mode automatically.
Press and hold ALR 1 or ALR 2 for 3 seconds to
activated the alarm setup mode, the icon or
and alarm time will blink.

minute, then press

Note
Make sure that you have set the clock correctly.

Tip
The unit exits alarm setting mode when being idle for
10 seconds.
Alarm timeout is 60 minutes if no user action.
Press ALR 1 or ALR 2 to activate or deactivate the
alarm timer.
If the alarm timer is activated, the icon or
will appear.

When the alarm sounds, press or corresponding
ALR 1/ALR 2.
Stop alarm sounds
the alarm stops but the alarm settings remain.
When the alarm sounds, press SNOOZE.
The alarm snoozes and repeats ringing 10
minutes later.
The icon or will blink.
Snooze the alarm
During alarm snooze time, press SNOOZE to
select another period (in minutes) to ringing
gain.

Listen to FM radio
Note
Keep the clock radio away from other electronic
devices to avoid radio interference.
For better reception, fully extend and adjust the
position of the FM antenna.
Tune to FM radio stations
1 Press to turn on the clock radio.
2 Press and hold TUN /TUN for 3 seconds.
The clock radio tunes to a station with
strong reception automatically.
3 Repeat Step 2 to tune to more radio stations.
To tune to a station manually:
Press TUN /TUN to select a frequency.
Note
The tuning grid of the clock radio is 50KHz, the radio
frequency on the display panel will increase 0.1MHz
by pressing TUN /TUN twice.
Tip
To remove a pre-stored station, store another station
in its place.
Select a preset radio

In FM tuner mode, press PRESET to select a preset
number.
Store FM radio stations

Store FM radio stations
manually
In FM tuner mode, press and hold SCAN for
3 seconds.
The unit stores all the available FM radio
stations automatically and broadcasts the
�rst station.
Note
You can store a maximum of 20 FM radio stations.
1 In FM tuner mode, tune to an FM radio station.
2 Press and hold PRESET for 3 seconds to activate
programming mode.
The preset number begins to blink.
3 Press TUN /TUN to select a number.

Press PRESET again to con�rm.
5 Repeat steps 1 to 4 to store more FM radio
stations.
Option A:
1 In FM tuner mode, press PRESET.
2 Press TUN /TUN to select a preset radio station.
Option B:
Note
After 3 seconds, preset radio station will be con�rm
automatically.

(not included) to the USB-type C Port on back
of the unit and connect the other end to the
charging port on your device.

Other features
If the daylight saving is ON, add one hour in
current time, the “DST” will appear.
If the daylight saving is OFF, reduce one hour
in current time, the “DST” will disappear.

Troubleshooting
Warning
Never remove the casing of the product.
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair
the device yourself. If you encounter problems
when using this device, check the following
points before requesting service. If the problem
remains unsolved, go to the Philips webpage
www.philips.com/support. When you contact
Philips, make sure that the device is nearby
and the model number and serial number are
available.
No power
Make sure that the AC power plug of the unit
is connected properly.
Make sure that there is power at the AC outlet.
No sound
Adjust the volume.
No response from the unit
Disconnect and reconnect the AC power plug,
then turn on the unit again.
Poor radio reception
Keep the clock radio away from other
electronic devices to avoid radio interference.
Fully extend and adjust the position of the
antenna.
Alarm does not work
Set the clock/alarm correctly.
Clock/alarm setting erased
Power has been interrupted or the power
plug has been disconnected.
Reset the clock/alarm.
Replace the backup batteries.
This symbol means the product must
not be discarded as household waste
and should be delivered to an
appropriate collection facility for
recycling. Follow local rules and never
dispose of the product and rechargeable
batteries with normal household waste.
