This product contains no user-serviceable parts.
Do not attempt to disassemble the internal parts or

Hearing loss
•
Before connecting the product to other devices,
turn off the power for all devices. Also, before
turning the phantom power on or off, or before
connecting or disconnecting the microphone,
make sure that the volume levels of all connected
devices are set to minimum. Failing to do so may
result in hearing loss, electric shock, or device
damage.

Location and connection
•
Do not place the product in an unstable position or
a location with excessive vibration, where it might
accidentally fall and cause injury.
•
Keep this product out of reach of children. This
product is not suitable for use in locations where
children are likely to be present.
•
Keep small parts out of the reach of infants. Your
children may accidentally swallow them.
•
Do not place the product in a location where it may
come into contact with corrosive gases or salt air.
Doing so may result in malfunction.
•
Before moving the product, remove all connected
cables.
Handling caution
•
Do not rest your weight on the product or place
heavy objects on it.

To avoid the possibility of malfunction/damage to
the product, or damage to other property, follow the

■ Installation
•
Do not mount or remove this product from a
microphone stand or arm in an unstable location.
•
Adjust the angle of this product and the position
of the microphone stand so that the microphone
stand does not fall over.
•
When setting up this product, there is a risk that it
may lose balance and fall over, depending on the
type of microphone stand or arm you use. Please
perform safety checks when installing this product.
If the product falls, it may cause damage or injury.
■ Handling and maintenance
•
Do not use the product in the vicinity of a TV, radio,
or other electric products. Otherwise, the product,
TV, or radio may generate noise.
•
Do not expose the product to excessive dust or
vibration, or extreme cold or heat, in order to
prevent the possibility of unstable operation, or
damage to the internal components.
•
Do not install in locations where temperature
changes are severe. Otherwise, condensation may
form on the inside or the surface of the product,
causing it to break.
•
If there is reason to believe that condensation
might have occurred, leave the product for several
hours without turning on the power until the
condensation has completely dried out, in order to
prevent possible damage.
•
Do not place this product on the vinyl, plastic or
rubber objects, since this might cause alteration or
discoloration.
•
Clean the product with a dry and soft cloth. Do not
wipe product surfaces with sodium hypochlorite,
alcohol, benzene, paint thinners, cleaning uids,
or a chemical-impregnated wiping cloth, which
could cause discoloration or change surface
characteristics.

Installation and Connection
Place the microphone as shown in the diagram below.
1 Attach the shock mount to a
commercially available microphone
stand.
2 Attach the microphone to the
shock mount with the front ([
]
mark) facing the sound source, and
secure it in place by turning the ring
and knob.
When recording vocals or narration,
attaching the pop lter to the shock mount
can help prevent popping noises (breath
noises).
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Yamaha YCM705. This product is a condenser microphone used for
music production, live streaming, etc. To take full advantage of this product, make sure to read this
document before you begin using this product. Afterwards, please keep it in a safe place for future
reference.

3 Use a commercially available XLR
cable to connect the microphone
to the microphone connector
(balanced connector) of an external
device such as a mixer.
CAUTION
Check that the shock
mount ring, knob and
microphone stand screws
are not loose.
If they are loose, the
microphone may fall and
cause damage or injury.
NOTE
This product is a cardioid
(unidirectional) microphone, so
it is more sensitive towards the
front.

Using the Microphone
This section explains how to use the
microphone.
WARNING
This product requires a phantom power
supply. Always set the input gain and
output audio of external devices to
minimum before turning phantom power
on or off.
Failure to do so may cause hearing
impairment or damage to the device.
1 Turn on the phantom power on the
external device to provide power to
the microphone.
2 Input sound into the microphone.
Depending on the environment where you
are using the microphone, please switch
the PAD switch or the low cut switch.

This switch attenuates the input sound level.
Use this when the input level is too high and
the input sound is clipping (distorting).

Low cut switch
This switch cuts off sounds below a specific
frequency. Use this when you are concerned
about noise such as floor vibrations or
air conditioning noise, or the effect of low
frequencies on musical instrument sounds.

Usage Tips
This section provides tips for recording and
broadcasting in high-quality audio.
■ Preventing popping noise
When streaming or recording vocals, be careful
to avoid popping noises (breath noises).
To prevent popping noise:
•
Use a pop filter.
■ Adjusting the input level
When inputting audio, beware of clipping
(distortion) due to excessive input.
For optimal input levels:
•
During audio input, ensure the PEAK
indicator on the mixer or similar device is not
lit.
•
If clipping occurs, lower the input gain on
the mixer or similar device.
•
If clipping persists, lower the input level by
switching the PAD switch or by moving the
microphone away from the sound source.
■ Cutting low-frequency noise
When recording or streaming, be careful to
avoid low-frequency noises such as footsteps,
floor vibrations, and air conditioning noise.
Cutting low frequency noise:
•
When streaming vocal audio, the low
cut switch should basically be set to the
following position.
(Cuts below 80 Hz)
•
When recording instruments individually,
such as in an ensemble recording, cut the
low frequency range below the lowest note
of the instrument being recorded. This will
prevent low-frequency noise from being
recorded and make it easier to mix.

Please refer to the table below to set the low cut
switch for each instrument. The classification in
the table is based on the ranges typically used in
performance.

Elektro- und Elektronische Altgeräte beinhalten eine Vielzahl von wertvollen und wiederverwendbaren Rohstoffen und gehören im
Falle einer Entsorgung nicht in die Restmülltonne, sondern Altgeräte sind getrennt zu sammeln und zu entsorgen. Besitzer von
Altgeräten tragen damit zur sicheren Entsorgung bei und helfen, mögliche umwelt- oder gesundheitsschädlichen Folgen zu
vermeiden.
Zerstörungsfrei entnehmbare Altbatterien und Altakkumulatoren sowie Lampen, sind vor der Entsorgung zu entfernen und
getrennt zu behandeln. Alte oder defekte Batterien und Akkus können überall dort, wo Batterien verkauft werden, kostenfrei
zurückgegeben werden. Ebenso die kommunalen Wertstoffhöfe nehmen alte Batterien und Akkus zurück. Das Symbol mit der
durchgestrichenen Mülltonne weist darauf hin, dass Batterien und/oder Akkus getrennt vom Hausmüll gesammelt und entsorgt
werden müssen.
Wenn die Batterie oder der Akku mehr als die in der europäischen Batterie-Richtlinie spezifizierten Werte für Blei (Pb),
Quecksilber (Hg) und/oder Kadmium (Cd) enthält, werden die chemischen Symbole für Blei (Pb), Quecksilber (Hg) und/oder
Kadmium (Cd) unter dem Symbol mit der durchgestrichenen Mülltonne angezeigt.
Indem Sie Batterien separat sammeln, tragen Sie zur sicheren Entsorgung von Produkten und Batterien bei und helfen damit,
mögliche umwelt- oder gesundheitsschädliche Folgen zu vermeiden. Bringen Sie dazu alle Batterien und/oder Akkus zu Ihrem
örtlichen Wertstoffhof oder einem Geschäft bzw. einer Einrichtung, wo diese Geräte zur umweltfreundlichen Entsorgung
gesammelt werden.
Batterien und Akkus können bei unsachgemäßer Handhabung Risiken für Mensch und Umwelt bedeuten. Insbesondere bei
Lithium handelt es sich um ein sehr reaktionsfreudiges und brennbares Metall, dass in Batterien oder Akkus bei unsachgemäßem
Umgang Sicherheitsrisiken birgt, wie z. B. Kurzschlussgefahr, Hitzeentwicklung, Brand oder Austritt von umweltgefährdenden
Stoffen. Lithium-Akkus müssen aus Sicherheitsgründen vor der Entsorgung gesichert werden. Kleben Sie die Anschlüsse mit
Isolierband ab.
Hinweis zur Verpflichtung von Vertreibern zur unentgeltlichen Rücknahme von Altgeräten in Bezug auf
Elektrogesetz §17 Absatz 1 und 2:
Rücknahmepflicht größerer Elektrofachmärkte (also Elektro-Fachgeschäfte, mit einer Verkaufsfläche für Elektro-
und Elektronikgeräte von mindestens 400 m2),
Rücknahmepflicht für Lebensmittelläden mit einer Gesamtverkaufsfläche von mindestens 800 m2, die mehrmals
pro Jahr oder dauerhaft Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte anbieten und auf dem Markt bereitstellen.
Diese Händler müssen bei der Abgabe eines neuen Elektrogeräts an einen Endnutzer ein Altgerät der gleichen
Art kostenfrei zurücknehmen (1:1-Rücknahme); dies gilt auch für Lieferungen an private Haushalte.
Diese Händler sind verpflichtet von Endnutzern bis zu drei kleine Altgeräte (keine äußere Abmessung größer als 25 cm) kostenfrei
im Einzelhandelsgeschäft oder in unmittelbarer Nähe zu diesem zurücknehmen, ohne dass dies an einen Neukauf geknüpft
werden darf (0:1-Rücknahme).
Diese Rücknahmepflichten gelten auch für den Versandhandel, wobei die Pflicht zur 1:1-Rücknahme im privaten Haushalt nur für
Wärmeüberträger (Kühl-/Gefriergeräte, Klimageräte u.a.), Bildschirmgeräte und Großgeräte gilt; für die die 1:1-Rücknahme von
Lampen, Kleingeräten und kleinen ITK-Geräten durch Endnutzer sowie die 0:1-Rücknahme müssen Versandhändler Rückgabe-
möglichkeiten in zumutbarer Entfernung zum Endverbraucher bereitstellen.
Als Hersteller informieren wir darüber, dass Altgeräte privater Haushalte (B2C Geräte) an einer dafür vorgesehenen Sammelstelle

Achtung: Die Verantwortung für das Löschen von personenbezogenen Daten, die sich auf dem zu entsorgenden

Das Symbol mit der durchgestrichenen Mülltonne weist darauf hin, dass Produkte, deren Batterien/Akkumulatoren

Informationen zur Rückgabe von Elektro -und Elektronikgeräten,
Lampen und Batterien, gültig für Deutschland
(58-M02 WEEE de 03)
Elektro- und Elektronische Altgeräte beinhalten eine Vielzahl von wertvollen und wiederverwendbaren Rohstoffen und gehören im
Falle einer Entsorgung nicht in die Restmülltonne, sondern Altgeräte sind getrennt zu sammeln und zu entsorgen. Besitzer von
Altgeräten tragen damit zur sicheren Entsorgung bei und helfen, mögliche umwelt- oder gesundheitsschädlichen Folgen zu
vermeiden.
Zerstörungsfrei entnehmbare Altbatterien und Altakkumulatoren sowie Lampen, sind vor der Entsorgung zu entfernen und
getrennt zu behandeln. Alte oder defekte Batterien und Akkus können überall dort, wo Batterien verkauft werden, kostenfrei
zurückgegeben werden. Ebenso die kommunalen Wertstoffhöfe nehmen alte Batterien und Akkus zurück. Das Symbol mit der
durchgestrichenen Mülltonne weist darauf hin, dass Batterien und/oder Akkus getrennt vom Hausmüll gesammelt und entsorgt
werden müssen.
Wenn die Batterie oder der Akku mehr als die in der europäischen Batterie-Richtlinie spezifizierten Werte für Blei (Pb),
Quecksilber (Hg) und/oder Kadmium (Cd) enthält, werden die chemischen Symbole für Blei (Pb), Quecksilber (Hg) und/oder
Kadmium (Cd) unter dem Symbol mit der durchgestrichenen Mülltonne angezeigt.
Indem Sie Batterien separat sammeln, tragen Sie zur sicheren Entsorgung von Produkten und Batterien bei und helfen damit,
mögliche umwelt- oder gesundheitsschädliche Folgen zu vermeiden. Bringen Sie dazu alle Batterien und/oder Akkus zu Ihrem
örtlichen Wertstoffhof oder einem Geschäft bzw. einer Einrichtung, wo diese Geräte zur umweltfreundlichen Entsorgung
gesammelt werden.
Batterien und Akkus können bei unsachgemäßer Handhabung Risiken für Mensch und Umwelt bedeuten. Insbesondere bei
Lithium handelt es sich um ein sehr reaktionsfreudiges und brennbares Metall, dass in Batterien oder Akkus bei unsachgemäßem
Umgang Sicherheitsrisiken birgt, wie z. B. Kurzschlussgefahr, Hitzeentwicklung, Brand oder Austritt von umweltgefährdenden
Stoffen. Lithium-Akkus müssen aus Sicherheitsgründen vor der Entsorgung gesichert werden. Kleben Sie die Anschlüsse mit
Isolierband ab.
Hinweis zur Verpflichtung von Vertreibern zur unentgeltlichen Rücknahme von Altgeräten in Bezug auf
Elektrogesetz §17 Absatz 1 und 2:
Rücknahmepflicht größerer Elektrofachmärkte (also Elektro-Fachgeschäfte, mit einer Verkaufsfläche für Elektro-
und Elektronikgeräte von mindestens 400 m2),
Rücknahmepflicht für Lebensmittelläden mit einer Gesamtverkaufsfläche von mindestens 800 m2, die mehrmals
pro Jahr oder dauerhaft Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte anbieten und auf dem Markt bereitstellen.
Diese Händler müssen bei der Abgabe eines neuen Elektrogeräts an einen Endnutzer ein Altgerät der gleichen
Art kostenfrei zurücknehmen (1:1-Rücknahme); dies gilt auch für Lieferungen an private Haushalte.
Diese Händler sind verpflichtet von Endnutzern bis zu drei kleine Altgeräte (keine äußere Abmessung größer als 25 cm) kostenfrei
im Einzelhandelsgeschäft oder in unmittelbarer Nähe zu diesem zurücknehmen, ohne dass dies an einen Neukauf geknüpft
werden darf (0:1-Rücknahme).
Diese Rücknahmepflichten gelten auch für den Versandhandel, wobei die Pflicht zur 1:1-Rücknahme im privaten Haushalt nur für
Wärmeüberträger (Kühl-/Gefriergeräte, Klimageräte u.a.), Bildschirmgeräte und Großgeräte gilt; für die die 1:1-Rücknahme von
Lampen, Kleingeräten und kleinen ITK-Geräten durch Endnutzer sowie die 0:1-Rücknahme müssen Versandhändler Rückgabe-
möglichkeiten in zumutbarer Entfernung zum Endverbraucher bereitstellen.
Als Hersteller informieren wir darüber, dass Altgeräte privater Haushalte (B2C Geräte) an einer dafür vorgesehenen Sammelstelle

und/oder Verpackungen getrennt vom Hausmüll gesammelt und entsorgt werden müssen. Der schwarze Balken
zeigt an, dass das Produkt nach dem 13. August 2005 auf den Markt gebracht wurde.
