Please read these instructions fully and keep for future reference.
• Dispose of all packaging carefully and responsibly.
• This appliance is designed for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
• Do not use this shredder for industrial and commercial use, or any
other purpose.
• The shredder MUST be positioned on a rm level base before and
during use.
• Ensure the power cable is not caught under the appliance.
• Ensure the correct power supply is used (220-240V AC).
• Keep the power cable away from hot surfaces.
• Do not place the shredder near a heat source or in direct sunlight.
• Do not operate under or near curtains or other combustible materials.
• Do not immerse the machine in water or any other liquid to protect
against electric shock.
• Do not spray any ammable synthetic oil, petroleum-based or aerosol
products onto this shredder as it may cause a re.
• Do not allow the shredder to be exposed to rain or any other moisture.
• Do not attempt to repair the shredder by yourself. If for any reason
your shredder stops working properly, contact Duronic Customer Care
Team for advice.
Before Use

• WARNING! Keep loose articles of clothing; ties, jewellery, hair or other
objects away from the feed opening in order to prevent injury.
• Never insert ngers into the feed opening. Serious injury may result!
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• DO NOT leave children unattended with the shredder.
• ALWAYS keep the shredder off and unplugged when not in use.
• DO NOT attempt to feed more sheets of paper into the feeder than
specifed.
• ALWAYS limit continuous shredding to the specifed time as suggested
in the instruction manual. See section titled ‘Capacity’.
• DO NOT attempt to shred materials other than paper and credit cards
in the provided feed slots.
• To avoid overheating the shredder, limit continuous shredding to the
specifed time as suggested in this instruction manual.
• Do not operate the shredder if the cable or plug are damaged or if the
shredder has malfunctioned in any way.
• ALWAYS unplug the shredder when moving, cleaning or emptying the
waste basket.
• DO NOT attempt to operate the shredder if the shredder is
experiencing any kind of problem.
• If your machine stops working, do not attempt to repair it yourself!

Cleaning and Maintenance
Please take note of these warnings displayed on the machine:
• Never use any sharp instruments or abrasive substances, soap,
household cleaner, detergent or wax polish for cleaning.
• Never clean the appliance with ammable fuids. It could cause a damage
and re hazard.
• Use lukewarm water on a cloth to clean the cabinet and waste basket of
the appliance and wipe it dry.
• Ensure the unit is dry before connecting to the mains.
IMPORTANT: Always unplug the appliance from the power socket
during cleaning and maintenance.

Setup
Operation
1. Carefully place the PS712 shredder on a dry, at, level surface.
2. Place the shredder head into the top of the waste bin.
3. Be careful not to place your ngers near the cutter blades.
4. Plug the power cord into any standard 220-240-Volt AC mains outlet / plug
socket which shall should be located near the equipment and should be
easily accessible.
5. Place the switch into the AUTO position.
You are now ready to start shredding.
The power switch is located on the top of the shredder. The switch has four
settings: Forward/FWD, AUTO, OFF, Reverse/REV.
When AUTO is selected, the shredding process is started automatically by
inserting paper into the feed opening. The shredder will also stop automatically
when the paper has completed its travel through the feed opening.
REV mode is used to assist in the removal of a paper jam. This reverses the
shredding process before the cycle nished, thus clearing the cutters.
FWD mode is also used to assist in the removal of a paper jam. By selecting
this mode, the machine’s blades will keep rotating continuously even if no
paper is inserted. This will help clear the blades and remove any remaining
pieces of paper from the blades.
Select the OFF mode when emptying the waste bin or when the shredder is
not in use for a long period of time.

This model has a carry handle to enable easy relocation.
Special Features
The PS712 will shred up to 5 sheets of A4 (80GSM) paper.
When shredding small material like envelopes or reciepts, insert them through
the middle of the feed opening.
Capacity
Paper Jams & Overloads
How to Resolve a Paper Jam:
1. Turn off or unplug the cable from the mains plug and wait for at least 40
minutes for the thermal overload to reset.
2. Press the reverse button and gently pull the remaining sheets of paper out
of the feed opening.
3. Remove the unshredded papers from the top and clear any excess paper
shreds from the feed opening.
Overload Protection:
The PS712 is equipped with a motor overload protection device. This means
that if/when the motor becomes overheated, the power will automatically be
cut off.
CAUTION: Be careful not to place your ngers near the feed opening as
serious harm could occur.

Operating the shredder at maximum capacity continuously for more
than 2 minutes without stopping.
If this occurs you should:
1. Unplug the power cable from the mains and wait at least 45 minutes for
the overload protection to reset.
2. Tear or cut off any excess paper from the top of the shredder.
3. Plug the power cable back into the mains socket and place the switch
into REV. Pull the remaining paper out of the cutters.
4. Once the jam is clear, return the switch to the AUTO position.
Exceeding the shredding capacity (e,g, inserting more than 5 sheets at
a time, or if the paper is not fed squarely into the feed opening.)
If this occurs you should:
1. Change the switch to the REV position.
2. Pull the jammed papers back.
3. Put the switch to the FWD position, allowing it to clear the remaining
trapped pieces in the blade cutters.
4. Once the jam is clear, return the switch to the AUTO position.
Duty Cycle:
The duty on/off cycle for continuous shredding at maximum capacity is 2
minutes on and 45 minutes off.
The power may cut off in the case of the following situations:

Mise en place
Placez avec précaution la déchiqueteuse sur une surface sèche, plate et
stable.
2. Placez la tête de la déchiqueteuse au-dessus de la corbeille.
3. Faites attention à ne pas mettre vos doigts à proximité des lames.
4. Branchez le câble dans une prise standard 220-240-Volt AC située à proximité
de l’appareil et facilement accessible.
5. Placez l’interrupteur sur la position AUTO.
L’interrupteur d’alimentation est situé sur le dessus de la déchiqueteuse.
L’interrupteur a quatre fonctions : « Forward/FWD », « AUTO », « OFF », «
Reverse/REV ».
Quand la fonction « AUTO » est sélectionnée, le processus de déchiquetage
démarre automatiquement quand vous insérez du papier dans l’orifice
d’introduction. La déchiqueteuse s’arrêtera automatiquement lorsque le papier
aura été déchiqueté.
La fonction « REV » sert d’assistance en cas de bourrage de papier. Elle permet
d’inverser le processus de déchiquetage avant que celui-ci ne soit finit, dégageant
les lames.
La fonction « FWD » permet aussi d’aider en cas de bourrage de papier. En
sélectionnant cette fonction, les lames de la déchiqueteuse vont tourner en
continu, même si aucun papier n’est introduit. Cela permettra de dégager les
lames et enlever les morceaux de papier restants.
Sélectionnez la fonction « OFF » lorsque vous vider la corbeille ou lorsque vous
n’utilisez pas l’appareil pour une longue période.

Stellen Sie den Aktenvernichter PS712 vorsichtig auf eine trockene, flache
Oberfläche.

Stellen Sie die Oberseite des Aktenvernichters auf den Papierkorb.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie Ihre Finger nicht in die Nähe der
Zerkleinerungsmesser bringen.
Stecken Sie das Netzkabel in eine Steckdose mit 220-240 Volt, die sich
in der Nähe des Geräts befindet und leicht zugänglich sein sollte.
Der Einschalter befindet sich oben am Aktenvernichter. Der Schalter hat
vier Einstellungen: FWD, AUTO, OFF, REV.
Bei der Auswahl von der AUTO Funktion, wird der Zerkleinerungsprozess
automatisch gestartet, sobald das Papier in die Einzugsöffnung eingeführt wird.
Der Aktenvernichter stoppt automatisch, wenn der Aktenvernichtungsvorgang
abgeschlossen ist.
Der FWD-Modus erleichtert die Beseitigung von Papierstaus. Wenn Sie diesen
Modus auswählen, drehen sich die Messer des Geräts kontinuierlich weiter,
auch wenn kein Papier eingelegt wurde. Dies hilft, alle verbleibenden
Papierreste in den Klingen zu entfernen.
Wählen Sie den OFF-Modus, wenn Sie den Papierkorb leeren oder wenn der
Aktenvernichter längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird.
5. Stellen Sie den Schalter auf AUTO.
Jetzt kann der Aktenvernichter verwendet werden.

Legen Sie kleine Materialien wie Briefumschläge in die Mitte der
Einzugsöffnung ein, wenn Sie sie zerkleinern.
1. Schalten Sie das Gäret und warten Sie mindestens 40 Minuten, um
die thermische Überlastung wiederherzustellen.
2. Positionieren Sie den Schalter auf REV und ziehen Sie die restlichen
Blätter vorsichtig aus der Einzugsöffnung.
3. Entfernen Sie das Papier von der Oberseite und entfernen Sie
überschüssiges Papier aus der Einzugsöffnung.
PS712 ist mit einem Motorüberlastschutz ausgestattet. Dies bedeutet,

In diesem Fall sollten Sie:
Den Aktenvernichter mindestens 45 Minuten ausschalten, um den
Überlastschutz wiederherzustellen.

Funcionamiento
Con cuidado, coloque la destructora PS712 en una superficie
plana y seca.

Este interruptor tiene cuatro modos: Avance (FWD), AUTO, OFF, Retroceso
(REV).
Con la función AUTO, la máquina tritura de forma automática con tan solo
insertar el papel en la ranura. Se detendrá de forma automática cuando haya
acabado de triturar.
El modo REV se usa para ayudar a eliminar un atasco de papel. Esto invierte el
proceso de trituración antes de que termine el ciclo, despejando así las
cuchillas.
El modo FWD también se utiliza para ayudar a eliminar atascos de papel. Al
seleccionar este modo, las cuchillas de la máquina continuarán girando
continuamente incluso si no se inserta papel. Esto ayudará a despejar las
cuchillas y remover cualquier resto de papel que quede.
Seleccione OFF cuando vaya a vaciar la papelera o cuando no vaya a usar la
trituradora durante mucho tiempo.
5. Coloque el interruptor en la posición AUTO.

1. Apague y desenchufe la destructora. Espere un mínimo de 40
minutos para que la sobrecarga térmica se restablezca.

La destructora PS712 está equipada con un sistema de protección contra

Cómo desatascar papel:
ATENCIÓN: tenga especial cuidado de no introducir los dedos en la
ranura de trituración ya que puede hacerse daño.
Protección contra sobrecargas:

Se tritura a máxima potencia durante más de 2 minutos seguidos.
Si esto ocurre, haga lo siguiente:
1. Desenchufe la unidad y espere 45 minutos para que el sistema de
protección de sobrecarga se restablezca.
2. Quite todos los excesos de papel que haya en la ranura de trituración.
3. Vuelva a enchufar la unidad y ponga el interruptor en modo REV. Quite
las tiras de papel que pueda haber.
4. Una vez haya quitado el papel atascado, puede volver a usar el modo
AUTO.
Sobrepasa la capacidad máxima de trituración (e. i.: introducir más
de 5 hojas a la vez o no introducirlo correctamente por la apertura).
Si esto ocurre, haga lo siguiente:
1. Ponga el interruptor en el botón REV.
2. Quite las tiras de papel que haya atascado.
3. Use el modo FWD para que los restos que queden puedan desatascarse.
4. Una vez haya quitado el papel atascado, puede volver a usar el modo
AUTO.

Quando si sminuzza materiale di piccole dimensioni come buste, inserirle al
centro dell'apertura di alimentazione.
1. Spegnere o scollegare il cavo di alimentazione e attendere almeno 40
minuti per ripristinare il sovraccarico termico.
2. Premere il pulsante REV ed estrarre delicatamente i fogli rimanenti
dall'apertura di alimentazione.
3. Rimuovere la carta dalla parte superiore e rimuovere eventuali brandelli
di carta in eccesso dall'apertura di alimentazione.
PS712 è dotata di un dispositivo di protezione da sovraccarico del motore.

Użytkowanie
