IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
• Read all instructions before use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug, variable temperature control, or
appliance in water or any other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or
has been damaged in any manner.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,

• The toaster reaches very high temperatures, particularly in the area of the openings for the bread.

• Use only pre-sliced bread.
• Do not place the cord or any other object over the bread openings of the toaster while it is in use.

• Do not cover the toaster while it is in use.
• Do not insert fingers or metallic utensils in the toaster.
• Do not attempt to jam food/toast larger than the openings for toast slices.
• In the event that any foods/toast becomes wedged into the toaster, do not attempt to dislodge food
while toaster is plugged.
• Do not use toast pastries with runny fillings or frosting.
• Do not place buttered bread or wrapped food into the toaster.
• Do not toast torn slices of bread.
• Do not toast small size bread, mini baguettes, breadsticks, etc.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit correctly into the outlet, flip it. If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature by modifying
the plug in any way.
EXTENSION CORD USE
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled or tripping
over a longer cord.
The use of an extension cord is not recommended. However, longer extension cords may be used if care
is exercised.
• If an extension cord is used,
a. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the appliance.
b. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where
it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It
should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user
serviceable parts inside.

BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual.
Note: Ensure that the crumb tray is in place and the toaster slots are free of any packing materials.
• Cut and remove tie wrap located between the electric plug blades.
• Your toaster’s cord storage area allows you to adjust the length of the power cord so that it is the
exact length you desire. To adjust the length of the power cord, wrap the power cord around the cord
storage post on the base of the toaster until the cord is the length you desired.
Caution: Position toaster at least 3 inches away from wall or rear of counter.
• Before using your new appliance, wipe the body of the toaster with a damp cloth.
• When the toaster is operating for the first time, there may be a slight burning odor, as the heating
elements warm up. This represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the
appliance. Allow the toaster to heat up until the odor clears.
Caution: It is advisable to first operate the toaster without placing bread in the slot.
HOW TO USE YOUR TOASTER
• Place appliance on a flat, stable surface.
Caution: Because some countertop finishes are more sensitive than others, use care not to place toaster
on surfaces where heat may cause a problem.
• Make sure the variable browning control is turned to 1, and then plug into a standard 120 Volt AC
outlet.
• Adjust the variable browning control to brown the toast to your desired taste (1 through 6).
• Place one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots and press down on the loading lever. The
toaster will heat up automatically and start toasting.
• Simply press the CANCEL button if you wish to end the toasting process. This will automatically
eject the toast.
• The loading lever will rise automatically when toasting is finished. This toaster is equipped with
a high lift lever to help with the removal of smaller items.
Note: If the bread sticks in the slots, unplug it, wait for it to cool, and then remove the bread. NEVER use
metal utensils to remove the bread.

• If the toast is not dark enough, you can toast the bread again. Adjust the browning control to your
desire.
Caution: Ensure the toast does not burn while re-toasting.
• Browning control settings:
Position Browning
1-2 Light toasting
3-4 Medium toasting
5-6 Dark toasting
Caution: The toaster’s surface may be hot during use. Allow toaster to cool completely before handling.
Reheat Function
Your toaster can reheat bread if it has cooled too quickly.
1. Replace the bread into the toaster.
2. Set the variable browning control to the 1 position.
3. Press the loading lever down.
4. Press the reheat button.
Caution: Ensure the toast does not burn.
5. The bread loading lever will rise automatically when toast is reheated.
Defrost Function
Your toaster can defrost frozen bread before toasting if required.
1. Place the bread into the toaster.
2. Set the variable browning control to the 1 position.
3. Press the loading lever down.
4. Press the defrost button
Caution: Ensure the toast does not burn.
5. The loading lever will rise automatically when toast is defrosted.

GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR TOASTER
• Do not insert utensils into the toaster.
• Allow toaster to return to room temperature before cleaning.
• Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray in place.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts.
• Unplug the cord. Wait for appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
• Remove crumb tray and wash crumb tray with warm soapy water. Thoroughly dry before replacing
into the toaster.
• Never immerse the toaster in water or other liquids.
• Toaster is NOT dishwasher safe.
• To remove any pieces of bread remaining in the toaster, make sure the toaster is unplugged, then
turn the toaster upside down and gently shake.
• Never insert any hard or sharp instruments into the slots of the toaster, as this could damage the
appliance and cause a safety hazard.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaners or metal pads to clean the toaster.
• Never spray or apply cleaner directly onto or into the toaster.
• The outside of the toaster should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth, and polished with a soft, dry
cloth.
• After cleaning, wait a few minutes for the toaster to dry completely before using.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
• Always allow the toaster to completely cool before storing.
• Wind the electrical cord under the bottom of the toaster.
• Store your toaster in a dry location, such as on a tabletop or countertop, or on a cupboard shelf.
• Other than recommended cleaning, no further user maintenance should be necessary.

Cuando se utilizan electrodomésticos, siempre se deben respetar ciertas medidas de seguridad incluyendo

• No tueste pan pequeño, mini baguettes, palitos de pan, etc.

ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho que el otro). Para reducir los riesgos
de choque eléctrico, este enchufe entra en un contacto polarizado de una sola manera. Si el enchufe no
entra correctamente, inviértalo. Si aún así no encaja, busque la ayuda de un electricista calificado. No
intente hacerle ninguna modificación al enchufe.
USO DE UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN
El producto viene con un cable corto de suministro de potencia para reducir el riesgo que resulta de
enredarse o tropezarse con un cable más largo.
No se recomienda el uso de un cable de extensión. Sin embargo, puede usarse un cable de extensión si
se emplea el cuidado requerido.
• Si se usa un cable de extensión:
a. El voltaje eléctrico del cable de extensión debe ser como mínimo igual al voltaje del aparato.
b. El cable de extensión debe acomodarse de modo que no cuelgue del mostrador o de la
mesa, para evitar que un niño tire del mismo o se tropiece sin intención.

correctamente. Se debe utilizar en un circuito eléctrico separado de los otros electrodomésticos.

ANTES DE UTILIZAR POR PRIMERA VEZ
• Retire todo el material de empaque y las calcomanías adheridas al producto y conserve el manual
de instrucciones.
Nota: Asegúrese que la bandeja para migajas este colocada en la tostadora y que dentro de las ranuras
no exista ningún material de empaque.
• Corte y retire la banda plástica que pasa por los contactos del enchufe.
• El área para guardar el cable eléctrico de su tostadora permite ajustar la longitud del cable
exactamente a la medida que usted desee. Para ajustar la longitud del cable, enrolle el mismo
alrededor del dispositivo para guardar el cable, hasta que tenga la longitud deseada.
Advertencia: Ubique la tostadora por lo menos a 8 cm de la pared o parte posterior del mostrador.
• Antes de usar la tostadora, limpie toda la superficie de la misma con un paño húmedo.
• Cuando utilice la tostadora por primera vez, puede producirse un ligero olor a quemado mientras la
resistencia de la tostadora se calienta. Esto no representa ningún tipo de peligro para el usuario y
no significa que el aparato tenga algún defecto.
Advertencia: Se recomienda utilizar la tostadora por primera vez sin colocar pan en las ranuras.
COMO USAR SU TOSTADORA
• Coloque el producto sobre una superficie plana y estable.
Advertencia: Debido a que el terminado de ciertos mostradores puede ser afectado más que otros,
asegúrese de no colocar la tostadora sobre superficies susceptibles al calor.
• Asegúrese que el control variable de tostado esta en la posición 1. Luego, enchufe en un
tomacorriente de 120 Voltios de CA.
• Seleccione la intensidad de tostado que desee ajustando el control variable de tostado (1 al 6).
• Coloque una o dos rebanadas de pan en las ranuras de la tostadora y luego presione hacia abajo la
palanca. La tostadora comenzará a calentar y tostar automáticamente.
• Si desea dejar de tostar solo tiene que presionar el botón para cancelar (CANCEL). Esto
automáticamente liberará las tostadas.
• La palanca se liberará automáticamente cuando el proceso de tostado haya finalizado. La palanca
de esta tostadora llega a un nivel más alto para ayudar a remover los alimentos pequeños.

Nota: Si el pan se atora en las ranuras, desenchúfela, espere a que se enfríe y luego remueva el pan.
NUNCA use utensilios de metal para remover el pan.
• Usted puede volver a tostar si su pan no tiene el tostado deseado ajustando el control variable de

Función para Recalentar
La tostadora puede recalentar su tostada si esta se ha enfriado muy rápido.
1. Coloque el pan dentro de la tostadora.
2. Coloque el control variable de tostado en la posición 1.
3. Baje la palanca.
4. Presione el botón para recalentar (reheat).
Advertencia: Asegúrese que la tostada no vaya a quemarse.
5. La palanca se levantará automáticamente cuando la tostada se caliente.
Función para Descongelar
La tostadora puede usarse para descongelar el pan antes de tostarlo.
1. Coloque el pan dentro de la tostadora.
2. Coloque el control variable de tostado en la posición 1.
3. Baje la palanca.
4. Presione el botón para descongelar (defrost).
Advertencia: Asegúrese que la tostada no vaya a quemarse.
5. La palanca se levantará automáticamente cuando la tostada se descongele.

COMO APROVECHAR AL MÁXIMO SU NUEVA TOSTADORA
• No inserte ningún utensilio dentro su tostadora.
• Espere que la tostadora se enfríe antes de limpiarla.
• No utilice la tostadora sin que este colocada la bandeja de migajas.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
Este producto no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor.
• Desconecte el cable del tomacorriente. Espere que el aparato se enfríe por completo antes de
limpiarlo.
• Remueva la bandeja para migajas y lave la bandeja para migajas con agua tibia y jabón, seque
completamente antes de colocarla nuevamente en la tostadora.
• No sumerja la tostadora en agua ni en ningún otro líquido.
• La tostadora no es apta para el lavaplatos automático.
• Para remover pan o migajas que quedaron dentro de la tostadora, asegúrese que este desenchufada,
luego voltee la tostadora y muévala de arriba hacia abajo.
• No inserte elementos punzantes o filosos dentro de las ranuras de la tostadora, esto puede causar
daños a la tostadora y causar un riesgo a su seguridad.
• No use limpiadores abrasivos ni almohadillas de fibra metálicas para limpiar la tostadora.
• Nunca rocíe o aplique limpiadores directamente sobre o dentro de la tostadora.
• La parte exterior de la tostadora se debe limpiar con un paño suave y húmedo. Y luego pulirlo con
un paño suave y seco.
• Después de limpiar la tostadora, espere unos minutos antes de volverla a usar, para asegurarse de
que se encuentra completamente seca.
ALMACENAMIENTO Y MANTENIMIENTO
• Siempre deje enfriar completamente la tostadora antes de guardarla.
