Do not install the product in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet.
As the power cord is used to disconnect the unit from the mains, connect the unit to an easily accessible
AC outlet. Should you notice an abnormality in the unit, disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet
immediately.
Install the unit so that the power cord can be unplugged from the wall socket immediately in the event
of trouble.

Precautions
On the power cord
• The supplied AC power cord (mains lead) is designed exclusively for this unit. It should not be used in
combination with any other devices.
• Completely disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the AC outlet (mains) if it is not going to
be used for an extended period of time. When unplugging the AC power cord (mains lead), always
grip the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
On placement
• To eliminate the risk of malfunctions, avoid the following locations when placing or leaving this unit.
– A place subject to high temperatures, such as under direct sunlight or lighting equipment, near a
heat source, or in a sauna
– Inside a vehicle with the windows closed (especially in summertime)
– A place exposed to hot air, such as from a hair dryer
• Place this unit on a flat, level surface. When placed on a sloped surface, the unit may fall over or
fall off the surface due to its own vibration, resulting in injuries, malfunctions, or performance
degradation.
• This unit is not anti-magnetic. Keep objects susceptible to magnetism (recorded tapes, watches, cash
cards and credit cards with magnetic coding, etc.) away from the unit. When you carry around the
unit, keep this in mind as well.
How to care for the unit
You can use the unit more comfortably and for a longer period of time by following the maintenance
procedure below.
• If the surface becomes dirty, wipe the surface using a soft, dry cloth or a cloth soaked in water or
lukewarm water and wrung well. Depending on the type of dirt, it may not be possible to remove it.
Note
• If the surface of the unit gets dirty, do not use detergent, thinner, benzine, alcohol, etc. to clean the
unit.
On BLUETOOTH® communications
• Microwaves emitting from a BLUETOOTH device may affect the operation of electronic medical
devices. Turn off this unit and other BLUETOOTH devices in the following locations, as it may cause an
accident:
– in hospitals, near priority seating in trains, locations where inflammable gas is present, near
automatic doors, or near fire alarms.
Other notes
• If your skin remains in contact with the handle for a long time while the light is turned on, there is
a risk of low-temperature burns. To carry a speaker while it is powered on, turn the light (lighting
function) off.
• Place the unit in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent heat buildup and prolong the life of
the unit.
• Do not insert foreign objects from the opening of the speaker unit.
• Do not splash water onto this product and the supplied accessories. Those are not waterproof.
• Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit, unplug the unit and have it checked by qualified
personnel before operating it any further.
• Water resistant performance is improved by the flat top structure of the unit, but this is not
guaranteed for all the situations.
• If you accidentally splash liquid on the unit, wipe it off with a dry cloth immediately.
• The cap (-) plays a very important role in maintenance of the water resistant performance. When
using the unit, make sure that the cap is closed completely.
• Put your fingertip directly onto the touch sensor for operations.
• Do not operate the touch sensor with a wet hand to avoid a malfunction.
• When the unit's light seems bright or glaring, turn up the room lights or turn off the lighting function.
• Do not look directly into the light-emitting parts of the unit.
• If sand or dust adheres to the caster wheels' axles, or grass or lint gets wrapped around them, the
caster wheels may malfunction.
• If you have any questions or problems concerning this unit that are not covered in this manual, please
consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Précautions
Concernant le cordon d’alimentation
• Le cordon d’alimentation secteur fourni est conçu exclusivement pour cet appareil. Il ne doit pas être
utilisé en combinaison avec d’autres périphériques.
• Débranchez complètement le cordon d’alimentation secteur de la prise secteur s’il ne doit pas être
utilisé pendant une longue période. Lorsque vous débranchez ce dernier, tenez toujours le cordon
d’alimentation par la fiche. Ne tirez jamais directement sur le cordon.
Rangement
• Pour éviter tout risque de dysfonctionnement, évitez les emplacements ci-dessous lors du placement
ou du rangement de cet appareil :
– un endroit soumis à des températures élevées, tel que sous la lumière directe du soleil, sous un
dispositif d’éclairage, à proximité d’une source de chaleur ou dans un sauna ;
– à l’intérieur d’un véhicule dont les vitres sont fermées (surtout en été) ;
– un endroit exposé à de l’air chaud, provenant d’un sèche-cheveux par exemple.
• Placez cet appareil sur une surface plane et de niveau. Lorsqu’il est placé sur une surface inclinée,
l’appareil peut se renverser ou tomber de la surface en raison de ses propres vibrations, entraînant
des blessures, des dysfonctionnements ou une dégradation des performances.
• Cet appareil n’est pas antimagnétique. Veuillez éloigner les objets sensibles à un rayonnement

magnétique, etc.) de l’appareil. N’oubliez pas ces recommandations lorsque vous transportez

Comment prendre soin de l’appareil
Vous pourrez utiliser l’appareil plus confortablement et plus longtemps si vous suivez la procédure
d’entretien ci-dessous.
• Si la surface devient sale, essuyez-la à l’aide d’un chiffon doux et sec ou d’un chiffon humecté d’eau
ou d’eau tiède et bien essoré. Certains types de saletés sont difficiles d’enlever.
Remarque

Concernant les communications BLUETOOTH®
• Les micro-ondes émises par un périphérique BLUETOOTH risquent de perturber le fonctionnement
d’appareils médicaux électroniques. Éteignez cet appareil et tout autre périphérique BLUETOOTH dans
les lieux indiqués ci-dessous car leur fonctionnement risque de provoquer un accident :
– Dans les hôpitaux, à proximité des sièges réservés aux personnes handicapées dans les trains, dans
les lieux où un gaz inflammable est présent, à proximité des portes automatiques ou des alarmes
incendie.
Autres remarques
• Un risque de brûlure à basse température existe si votre peau reste longtemps en contact avec
la poignée alors que l’éclairage est allumé. Pour transporter une enceinte sous tension, éteignez
l’éclairage (fonction d’éclairage).
• Placez l’appareil dans un endroit avec une ventilation adéquate pour empêcher l’accumulation de
chaleur et prolonger la durée de vie de l’appareil.
• N'introduisez pas d'objets étrangers dans l'ouverture de l'enceinte.
• Gardez ce produit et les accessoires fournis à l’abri des projections d’eau. Ils ne sont pas étanches.
• Si un objet solide ou un liquide tombe dans l’appareil, débranchez l’appareil et faites-le vérifier par du
personnel qualifié avant de continuer à l’utiliser.
• Le degré de résistance à l’eau est amélioré par la surface supérieure plate de appareil, mais cela n’est
pas garanti pour toutes les situations.
• Si vous éclaboussez accidentellement du liquide sur l’appareil, essuyez-le immédiatement avec un
chiffon sec.
• Le capuchon (-) joue un rôle très important pour préserver la résistance à l’eau. Lorsque vous
utilisez l’appareil, assurez-vous que le capuchon est complètement fermé.
• Placez le bout de votre doigt directement sur le capteur tactile pour les opérations.
• Ne faites pas fonctionner le capteur tactile avec les mains mouillées pour éviter un
dysfonctionnement.
• Lorsque l’éclairage de l’appareil est lumineux et éblouissant, éclairez la pièce ou éteignez la fonction
d’éclairage.
• Évitez de regarder directement les pièces de l'appareil qui émettent de la lumière.
• Si du sable ou de la poussière adhère aux axes des roulettes, ou que de l’herbe ou des peluches
s’enroulent autour, les roulettes risquent de mal fonctionner.
• En cas de questions ou problèmes concernant cet appareil, qui ne sont pas abordés dans ce manuel,
veuillez consulter votre revendeur Sony le plus proche.
