WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance
may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are labelled in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Green/Yellow [EARTH]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable). The
wire labelled blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N].
The wire labelled brown is the live wire and must
be connected to the terminal marked [L].
The wire labelled green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal marked with the letter
[E].
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal.
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an
ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of
the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it
from the mains - then cut it o of the mains lead
and immediately dispose of it in a safe manner.
Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a
socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Assemble your appliance.
3. Locate your appliance in accordance with the safety instructions.
4. Plug the appliance into the mains supply.
5. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

ASSEMBLY
Before using the heater, the feet (supplied
separately in the carton),
must be tted to the unit.
These are to be attached to
the base of the heater using
the 4 self-tapping screws
provided, taking care to
ensure that they are located correctly in the
bottom ends of the heater side mouldings.
USING YOUR APPLIANCE
NOTE: It is normal when the heaters are
turned on for the rst time or when they are
turned on after having not been used for a long
period of time the heaters may emit some smell
and fumes. This will disappear when the heater
has been on a short while.
1. Choose a suitable location for the heater,
taking into account the safety instructions.
2. Insert the plug of the heater into a suitable
socket.
3. Turn the thermostat knob fully in a
clockwise direction to the maximum
setting.
4. There are 3 heat settings, 750W, 1250W
& 2000W. To use your rst heat setting,
select the switch under the 750W mark.
To use the second heat setting only switch
on the switch under the 1250W mark.
To use your third setting of 2000W switch
on both switches at the same time.
The power indicator light will light up once
the switch is in the on position.
5. When the desired room temperature
has been reached, the thermostat knob
should be turned slowly anti-clockwise
until the thermostat is heard to click o
and the lights on the element switches are
seen to go out.
6. After this the heater will keep the air
temperature in the room at the set
temperature by switching on and o
automatically.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Before cleaning always switch o the
heater and remove the plug from the
electrical socket.
• Ensure that the unit is cool enough to
work on.
• To remove the dust, wipe the appliance
with a dry cloth.
• Never use abrasive powders or solvents.
• If the heater shows any signs of wear or
damage disconnect immediately from the
mains supply, DO NOT use it – have it
checked by a suitably qualied person.

DO NOT IMMERSE ANY ELECTRICAL PART
OF THE APPLIANCE IN WATER SUCH AS
MOTOR UNITS OR PLUGS.
