• DO NOT use this appliance outdoors.
• It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the
appliance has been used, before it is cleaned and whilst
being repaired.
• Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed
by a qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place user
at serious risk.
• DO NOT operate this appliance with a damaged plug or
cord, after a malfunction or after being dropped or
damaged in any way.
• Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on the
mains cable to ensure no damage is evident. Should there
be any signs of damage the appliance should not be used.
• DO NOT allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges
or come in contact with hot surfaces.
• DO NOT run the mains cable under carpets, rugs, etc.
• Allow the unit to cool before storage.

• Ensure appliance is situated in an open area, do not allow
it to come in contact with Cupboards, Curtains, wall
coverings, clothing or other flammable materials.
• Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
• DO NOT cover this appliance or steam vents.
• WARNING! The measuring cup contains a piercing pin
and should be handled with care.
• This Egg Boiler is only designed to cook eggs, any other
foodstuffs may cause damage to the appliance.

Before first use of Your Egg Boiler
• Remove all packing materials and dispose of responsibly.
• Remove the Egg Rack and Measuring Cup and wash in warm soapy water,
rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Wipe over the Egg Boiler body with a clean damp sponge or cloth.
• DO NOT use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• DO NOT clean any part of your Egg Boiler in a dishwasher
• Never immerse the Egg Boiler in water or any other liquids.
• Always place this appliance on a solid, level, non-flammable surface
Description of Parts
Using Your Egg Boiler
Using the Measuring Cup
• The Measuring Cup (5) has markings
on the side to make it simple to cook
your eggs exactly as you want them.
(See Fig.1) right:
• In the bottom of the measuring cup
there is a Piercing Pin (6) to pierce the
shell of your eggs prior to cooking.
• Fill the Measuring Cup (5) to the firmness mark required, taking into account
the number of eggs to be cooked.
WARNING! The piercing pin is very sharp and care must be taken during use.

Boiling Eggs
1. Fill the Measuring Cup (5) to the desired level with cold water – see above.
2. Pour the water onto the Heating Plate (3).
3. Place the Egg Rack (2) into position.
4. Use the piercing pin on the base of the Measuring Cup (5) to pierce a hole in the
larger end of each egg and place the eggs onto the Egg Rack (2) with the pierced
holes uppermost.
5. Place the Cover (1) onto the Egg Boiler
6. Plug the Egg Boiler into the nearest wall socket.
7. Press the On/Off Switch (4) to the ‘I’ position which will illuminate to indicate
that the Egg Boiler is starting to cook.
8. See the cooking time table below for the time taken to cook the eggs.
9. The Egg Boiler will beep once the cooking time is complete.
10. Press the On/Off Switch (4) to the ‘O’ position to switch off the Egg Boiler and
remove the Cover (1).
11. Take the eggs from the Egg Rack (2) and serve.
WARNING! The eggs will be hot, use suitable oven gloves or similar to
remove them from the egg cooker.
Tips for Best Results
Use fresh eggs for best results.
Allow eggs to reach room temperature before cooking.
Eggs are best served immediately.
If you are setting aside boiled eggs for later, run under cold water and remove the
shell before storing.

Non-Wireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-wireable plug fitted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one (conforming
to BS 1362 of the same rating). Never use a plug with the fuse cover missing. If in
doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
If you need to remove the plug – DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS – and then cut
it off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse
the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock.

Troubleshooting Guide
Problem

The eggs are under or overcooked
Ensure you are filling the measuring
cup to the correct level for the
required amount of eggs
The eggs may be larger or smaller
than used in the cooking guide or may
have been stored in the fridge. For
best results use medium sized eggs at
room temperature.
The Egg Boiler will not switch on
Check the Egg Boiler is switched on at
the mains.
Check that the On/Off Switch has
been pressed and the light is on.
