TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtoperformactionswhendifferenteventsoccur,forexample,startarecordingwhenmotionis

detected.ThesetofconditionsthatdeneshowandwhentheactionistriggerediscalledanActionRule.

•Detectors

-Day/NightMode—triggertherulewhentheproductswitchesbetweendaymode(IRcutlteron)andnight

mode(IRcutlteroff).Thiscanforexamplebeusedtocontrolanexternalinfrared(IR)lightconnected

toanoutputport.

-MotionDetection—triggertherulewhenmotionisdetected,seeMotionDetection,onpage28.

-Tampering—triggertherulewhentamperingisdetected,seeCameraTampering,onpage28.

•Hardware

-Network—triggertheruleifnetworkconnectionislostorrestored.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtostart

recordingtotheSDcard.

cameraviewmovesduetoaPTZoperation.

-PresetReached—triggertherulewhenthecamerastopsatapresetposition.Thiscanbeforexamplebeused

withtheSendImagesactiontouploadimagesfromthepresetposition.

•Storage

-Available—triggertherulewhenthestoragedeviceisunmountedorremoved.Thiscanforexamplebe

usedtosendmaintenancenotications.

-Full—triggertherulewhenthestoragedeviceisfull.Undernormaloperation,theoldestrecordingswillbe

overwrittentopreventthestoragedevicefrombecomingfull.

-Locked—triggertheruleifthestoragedeviceislocked(writeprotected).

•System

-SystemInitializing—triggertherulewhentheproductisbeingstarted.Thiscanforexamplebeusedtosenda

noticationwhentheproductrestarts.

•Time
