Multicastingprovidesthemostefcientusageofbandwidthwhentherearelargenumbersof
clientsviewingsimultaneously.Amulticastcannothowever,passanetworkrouterunlessthe
routerisconguredtoallowthis.ItisnotpossibletomulticastovertheInternet,forexample.
Notealsothatallmulticastviewerscountasoneunicastviewerinthemaximumtotalof20
simultaneousconnections.
AXISMediaControlnegotiateswiththeAxisproducttodeterminethetransportprotocoltouse.Theorderofpriority,listedinthe

TheAxisproductsupportstwoH.264proles.TheMainproleprovideshighercompressionthantheBaselineprolewiththesame

Firmwareissoftwarethatdeterminesthefunctionalityofnetworkdevices.Oneofyourrstactionswhentroubleshootingaproblem

UpgradingtheFirmware
WhenyouupgradetheproductwiththelatestrmwarefromAxiswebsite,theproductreceivesthelatestfunctionalityavailable.
Alwaysreadtheupgradeinstructionsandreleasenotesavailablewitheachnewrelease,beforeupgradingthermware.
Toupgrade,followtheseinstructions:
