Chapter 12 Video and Audio
This part introduces the conî´ªguration of video and audio related parameters.
12.1 Video Settings
This part introduces the settings of video parameters, such as, stream type, video
encoding, and resolution.
Go to setting page:
Conî´ªguration > Video/Audio > Video .
Note
For device with multiple camera channels, select a channel before other settings.
12.1.1 Stream Type
For device supports more than one stream, you can specify parameters for each stream
type.
Main Stream
The stream stands for the best stream performance the device supports. It usually
offers the best resolution and frame rate the device can do. But high resolution and
frame rate usually mean larger storage space and higher bandwidth requirements in
transmission.
Sub Stream
The stream usually offers comparatively low resolution options, which consumes less
bandwidth and storage space.
12.1.2 Video Type
Select the content (video and audio) that should be contained in the stream.
Video
Only video content is contained in the stream.
Video & Audio
Video content and audio content are contained in the composite stream.
