•Changingthezoomlevelmovesthefocusposition.Focusshouldalwaysbeadjustedafterchangingthezoom.

•Movementsinfrontofthecamerashouldbeavoidedduringautomaticfocusing.

OntheAdvancedtab,focuscanbeadjustedmanually:

1.ClickOpeniristoopentheiristoitsmaximumposition.Thisgivesthesmallestdepthofeldandprovidesthebest

conditionsforfocusing.

2.FocusissetintheFocuswindow.Usethemousetomoveandresizethefocuswindow.

3.SetthezoomlevelusingthesliderandclickPerformautofocustofocusthecameraautomatically.

4.ClickintheFocuspositionbartofocusonadesiredlocation.Thebuttons<and>movethefocuspositiononestepin

eitherdirection.Thebuttons<<and>>movethefocuspositioninmultiplestepsineitherdirection.

5.Whensatised,clickEnableiristoenabletheiris.

ThePixelcountershowsthenumberofpixelsinanareaoftheimageandcanbeusedtoensurethatthesizeoftheimage

fulllscertainrequirements,forexampleforfacerecognition.Usethemousetomoveandresizethepixelcounter,orenterthe

numberofpixelsintheWidthandHeighteldsandclickApply.

AudioSettings

TheaudiofunctionalityforeachvideostreamisenabledunderVideo&Audio>VideoStream>Audio.

AudioModes

TheAxisproductsupportsthefollowingaudiomodes:

Fullduplex-Simultaneoustwo-wayaudioallowingtheAxisproducttotransmitandreceiveaudioatthesametime.Thereisno

echocancellation;iffeedbackloopsappear,trymovingthemicrophoneorthespeaker.

Half-duplex-AudiocanbetransmittedtoandfromtheAxisproductbutonlyinonedirectionatatime.Totransmitaudiousingthe

LiveViewpage,usetheTalkandListenbuttons,seeAMCAudioControls,onpage12.

Simplex—speakeronly-AudioistransmittedfromaclienttotheAxisproductandcanbeplayedbyaspeakerconnected

totheproduct.TotransmitaudiousingtheLiveViewpage,theTalkandMicrophonebuttonsmustbothbeactive,seeAMC

AudioControls,onpage12.

Simplex—microphoneonly-AudiocapturedbytheproductmicrophoneistransmittedfromtheAxisproducttooneormoreclients.

Tosettheaudiomode,gotoVideo&Audio>AudioSettingsandselectthedesiredmodefromtheAudiomodedrop-downlist.

AudioInput

Anexternalmicrophoneoralinesourcecanbeconnectedtotheproduct’sAudio-inconnector.Conguretheaudioinputsettings

underVideo&Audio>AudioSettings.

Note

Theinternalmicrophoneisusedbydefault;theexternalmicrophoneisusedwhenconnected.Itispossibletodisablethe

internalmicrophonebyconnectingaplugtothemicinput.

SelectMicrophonetouseanexternalmicrophoneorLinetouseaLineindevice,e.g.anaudiomixerformultiplemicrophones

oramicrophonewithabuilt-inamplier,asaudiosource.

TheMicrophonepoweroptionprovidesDCpowerforanexternalmicrophone.Microphonepowershouldonlybeusedwith

microphonesthathavenobatteryandwhenusingtheinternalmicrophone.Thissettingshouldnotbeenabledwhenusingadynamic

orbatterypoweredmicrophone.Microphonepowerwillnotharmthemicrophone;ifyouareuncertain,tryswitchingitoffandon.
