1. SAFETY

1.2. WORK AREA SAFETY
9 Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
8 DO NOT operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammableliquids,gasesordust.Powertools
create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
9 Keepchildrenandbystandersawaywhileoperatingapowertool.Distractionscancause you to lose control.
1.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
9 Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. DO NOT use a power tool while you are
tiredorundertheinuenceofdrugs,alcoholormedication.Amomentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmayresultinserious
personalinjury.
9 Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection.Protectiveequipmentsuchasdustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,
hardhat,orhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditionswillreducepersonalinjuries.
9 Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensuretheswitchisintheo󰀨-positionbeforeconnectingtopowersourceand/orbatterypack,picking
up or carrying the tool.
9 Carryingpowertoolswithyourngerontheswitchorenergisingpowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.
9 Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertoolon.
8 DO NOToverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.Thisenablesbettercontrol of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
9 Dress properly. DO NOT wearlooseclothingorjewellery.Keepyourhair,clothingand gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewelleryorlonghaircanbecaughtinmovingparts.
9 If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.
1.4. POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
8 DO NOT forcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyourapplication.Thecorrectpowertoolwilldothejobbetterandsafer
at the rate for which it was designed.
8 DO NOTusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonando󰀨.Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchis
dangerousandmustberepaired.
WARNING!Disconnecttheplugfromthebatterypackfromthepowertoolbeforemakinganyadjustments,changingaccessories,or
storing power tools.
9 Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to
operatethepowertool.Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsofuntrainedusers.
9 Maintainpowertools.Checkformisalignmentorbindingofmovingparts,breakageofpartsandanyotherconditionthatmaya󰀨ect
thepowertool’soperation.Ifdamaged,havethepowertoolrepairedbeforeuse.Manyaccidentsarecausedbypoorlymaintained
power tools.
9 Usethepowertool,accessoriesandtoolbitsetc.inaccordancewiththeseinstructions,takingintoaccounttheworkingconditions
andtheworktobeperformed.Useofthepowertoolforoperationsdi󰀨erentfromthoseintendedcouldresultinahazardous
situation.
1.5. SERVICE
9 Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualiedrepairpersonusingonlyidenticalreplacementparts.Thiswillensurethatthesafetyof
the power tool is maintained.Unauthorisedpartsmaybedangerousandwillinvalidatethewarranty.
1.6. SPECIFIC POLISHER SAFETY
9 WARNING!Disconnectthebatteryandensurethatthepadisatacompletestandstillbeforechangingaccessories,servicingor
performing any maintenance.
WARNING! Keep all guards and holding screws in place, tight and in good working order.
9 Checkregularlyfordamagedparts.Aguardoranyotherpartthatisdamagedmustberepaired/replacedbeforethepolisherisnext
used.

9 Before each use check all attachments for condition. If worn or damaged replace immediately.

8 DO NOT get the polisher wet or use in damp or wet locations or areas where there is condensation.
8 DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the polisher.
9 When not in use, unplug from the mains power supply and store in a safe, dry, childproof area.

4. OPERATION

NOTE: Whennew,thebatteriesmayhavebeenshippedinalowchargestate. Fullychargethe
batteriesbeforeusingyourtool.
4.1. Ensure that you have read, understood and comply with all the safety instructions in
Section1.
4.2. POLISHING (FIG.1)
4.2.1. Holdingthepolisherrmlyoperatetheon/o󰀨switch.
4.2.2. Tosettherotationalspeedofthepolisherusethe +/- buttons.Toincreasespeed,
press ‘ + ‘, to decrease press ‘ - ‘.
4.2.3. Thereare7speedsettingsavailableandthecurrentonebeingusedisshowninthespeedsettingdisplaywindow.Thevalues
displayedare5,8,10,15,20,25,and30.EachstepindicatesanRPMofapproximately100timesthevalueshown.
4.2.4. When polishing, DO NOTapplytoomuchpressure,theweightofthepolishershouldbesu󰀩cient.AlsoDO NOT work for too long
inoneareaoryoumaydamagethesurfacebeingworkedon.
4.3. BACKING PAD EXCHANGE (FIG.2)
WARNING: Removebatterybeforetting/removingpadsormaintenanceiscarriedout.
4.3.1. Toremovethebackingpad,pressdownchucklockingbuttonandmanuallyunscrewthepadclockwise(whenviewedfromabove).
5. MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Alwaysdisconnectthebatterybeforecarryingoutanyinspection,maintenanceorcleaning.
5.1. GENERAL INSPECTION
5.1.1. Regularlycheckthatallthexingscrewsaretight.
5.1.2. Repairsshouldbecarriedoutbyanauthorisedservicecentre.
5.2. CLEANING
WARNING:Alwayswearprotectiveequipmentincludingeyeprotectionandgloveswhencleaningthistool.
5.2.1. Keepyourtoolcleanatalltimes.Dirtanddustwillcauseinternalpartstowearquicklyandshortenthedevice’sservicelife.
5.2.2. Cleanthebodyofyourmachinewithasoftbrush,ordrycloth.
5.2.3. Neverusecausticagentstocleanplasticparts.Ifdrycleaningisnotsu󰀩cient,amilddetergentonadampclothisrecommended.
5.2.4. Watermustnevercomeintocontactwiththetool.Ensurethetoolisthoroughlydrybeforeusingit.
5.2.5. Ifavailable,useclean,drycompressedairtoblowthroughtheventilationholes(whereapplicable).
5.3. LUBRICATION
5.3.1. Lightlylubricateallmovingpartsatregularintervalswithasuitablelubricant.
5.4. STORAGE
5.4.1. Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children.

arecyclingcentreanddisposedofinamannerwhichiscompatiblewiththeenvironment.Whentheproductbecomescompletely
unserviceableandrequiresdisposal,drainanyfluids(ifapplicable)intoapprovedcontainersanddisposeoftheproductandfluids
according to local regulations.
WEEE REGULATIONS
