EXHAUSTING THE DRYER (cont.)
REMOVE DUCT FROM DRYER
• Remove and save the screw from the tab that holds
the duct to the rear panel.
• Pull the dryer duct out of the dryer.

• Cut the dryer duct as shown and keep portion A.

REMOVE DESIRED KNOCKOUT
• Detach and remove the right, left or bottom
knockout from the dryer as desired.

Disconnect dryer from electrical supply.
Wear gloves and arm guards.
Close the back opening with exhaust cover
plate.
Failure to do so may result in fire, electrical
shock or lacerations.

REMOVE THE HEATER COVER

NOTE: The rear heater cover is shown removed.
• The rear heater cover may be removed to aid in
reinstalling the cut internal dryer duct and applying
aluminum foil tape to the internal duct joints.

REINSTALL CUT DUCT TO DRYER

• Reconnect the cut portion (A) of the dryer duct to
the blower housing. Make sure that the tab on the
duct is pointed towards the base of the dryer.
