● Conforms to EN61010-031:2002+A1:2008.
● In CAT III or CAT IV environments, use the TL175 or TP175 test probes with the
probe tip guard fully extended. This decreases the exposed probe tip to reduce
the possibility of arc ash from short circuits. When the guard is fully retracted,
the probe tip is 19 mm and rated to 1000V CAT II.
● IEC Measurement Category II - CAT II equipment is designed for measurements
performed on circuits directly connected to the low-voltage installation.
● IEC Measurement Category III - CAT III equipment is designed for
measurements performed in the building installation.
● IEC Measurement Category IV - CAT IV equipment is designed to protect
against transients from the primary supply level, such as an electricity meter, or
an overhead or underground utility service.
● The TL175 offers WearGuard insulation that covers the test lead with two layers
of silicone insulation. Red or black on the outside with white on the inside. This
provides a visual warning when the test leads should be replaced.
● When an AC172 or AC175 is properly seated on the TL175 or TP175 test probe,
the rating of the AC172 or AC175 and TL175 or TP175 is 1000V CAT III / 600V
CAT IV.

To prevent electric shock or personal injury:
● DO NOT USE above maximum ratings.
● Do not use the TL175 or TP175 test probes in CAT III or CAT IV
environments without the probe tip fully extended and correct category
rating visible in the window.
● If this product is used in a manner not specied by the instructions, the
protection may be impaired. Replace leads that have the inner contrasting
color of the wire exposed, or that show high resistance.
● When used with instruments or other accessories, the lowest category
rating of the combination applies. One exception is when the probe is
used with the AC172 or AC175.
● Clean with a soft towel moistened with water and mild detergent. DO NOT
IMMERSE in liquid.
● Make sure test leads are rmly connected to instrument and other
accessories.
● DO NOT USE in wet or damp locations.
