Electric Power Supply Requirements
Your
range must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of
local codes, in accordance with the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70, latest edition). In
Canada, electrical grounding must be in accordance with the current CSA C22.1 Canadian
Electrical Code Part 1 and/or local codes. A copy of this standard may be obtained from:
National Fire Protection Association, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, Massachusetts 02269-9101.
The power supply must be the correct polarity. Reverse polarity will result in continuous
sparking of the electrodes, even after flame ignition. If there is any doubt as to whether the
power supply has the correct polarity or grounded, have it checked by a qualified electrician.
Electrical Requirements: Use 240 VAC, properly grounded branch circuit protected by a
50-amp circuit breaker.
Electrical Grounding Instructions:
This indoor cooking appliance is equipped with a
4-prong grounded plug. For your protection against shock hazards, the appliance should be
plugged directly into a properly grounded 240 VAC receptacle.
DO NOT
cut or remove the grounding prong from the power supply cord.
CAUTION:
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing controls. Wiring errors
can cause improper and dangerous operation. Verify proper operation after servicing.
