Setuprulesforevents

Youcancreaterulestomakeyourdeviceperformanactionwhencertaineventsoccur.Aruleconsistsofconditionsandactions.

Theconditionscanbeusedtotriggertheactions.Forexample,thedevicecanstartarecordingorsendanemailwhenitdetects

motion,orshowanoverlaytextwhilethedeviceisrecording.

Triggeranaction

1.GotoSystem>Eventsandaddarule.Theruledeneswhenthedevicewillperformcertainactions.Youcanset

uprulesasscheduled,recurring,ormanuallytriggered.

2.EnteraName.

3.SelecttheConditionthatmustbemettotriggertheaction.Ifyouspecifymorethanoneconditionfortherule,allofthe

conditionsmustbemettotriggertheaction.

4.SelectwhichActionthedeviceshouldperformwhentheconditionsaremet.

Ifyoumakechangestoanactiverule,therulemustbeturnedonagainforthechangestotakeeffect.

Ifyouchangethedenitionofastreamprolethatisusedinarule,thenyouneedtorestartalltherulesthatusethat

streamprole.

Recordvideowhenthecameradetectsanobject

stoponeminuteafter.

3.Starttheapplicationifitisnotalreadyrunning.

2.Typeanamefortherule.

3.Inthelistofconditions,underApplication,selectObjectAnalytics.

4.Inthelistofconditions,underApplication,selectVMD4.

5.Inthelistofactions,underRecordings,selectRecordvideowhiletheruleisactive.

6.Inthelistofstorageoptions,selectSD_DISK.

7.Selectacameraandastreamprole.

8.Settheprebuffertimeto5seconds.

9.Setthepostbuffertimeto1minute.
