BenetfromIRlightinlow-lightconditionsbyusingnightmode
Yourcamerausesvisiblelighttodelivercolorimagesduringtheday.Butasthevisiblelightdiminishes,colorimagesbecomeless
brightandclear.Ifyouswitchtonightmodewhenthishappens,thecamerausesbothvisibleandnear-infraredlighttodeliverbright
anddetailedblack-and-whiteimagesinstead.Youcansetthecameratoswitchtonightmodeautomatically.

Thiscameraisdesignedtodeliveruptofourdifferentstreams.Ifafthuniquestreamisrequested,thecameracan’tprovideit,and
anerrormessageisdisplayed.Theerrormessagedependsonthewaythestreamisrequested.Thestreamsareusedonarstcome,
rstservedbasis.Examplesofinstancesthatuseastreamare:
•Liveviewinginawebbrowserorotherapplication
•Whilerecording-continuousormotiontriggeredrecording
•Aneventthatusesimagesonthecamera,forexampleaneventthatsendsane-mailwithanimageeveryhour
•Aninstalledandrunningapplication,suchasAXISVideoMotionDetection,willalwaysconsumeavideostream,whether
itisusedornot.Astoppedapplicationdoesnotconsumeavideostream.
Thecameracandelivermorethanfoursimultaneousstreamsprovidedthecongurationofanyadditionalstreamisidenticaltoany
oftherstfourstreams.Identicalcongurationimpliesexactlythesameresolution,framerate,compression,videoformat,rotation

Theimageisblurry
Thefocusissetwhenthecameraismanufactured.Buttheimagecanbecomeblurryfordifferentreasons.Youcansetthefocus
usingthefocusringasshownintheimagebelow.
Performanceconsiderations
Whensettingupyoursystem,itisimportanttoconsiderhowvarioussettingsandsituationsaffecttheperformance.Somefactors
affecttheamountofbandwidth(thebitrate)required,otherscanaffecttheframerate,andsomeaffectboth.Iftheloadonthe
CPUreachesitsmaximum,thisalsoaffectstheframerate.

•AccessbylargenumbersofMotionJPEGorunicastH.264clientsaffectsthebandwidth.
