Normal Operating Sounds

Ŷ<RXPD\KHDUDSLQJLQJQRLVHFDXVHGE\ZDWHUEHLQJ

picked up and thrown against the condenser on rainy

days or when the humidity is high. This design feature

helps remove moisture and improve efficiency.

Ŷ<RXPD\KHDUWKHWKHUPRVWDWFOLFNZKHQWKH

compressor cycles on and off.

Ŷ:DWHUZLOOFROOHFWLQWKHEDVHSDQGXULQJKLJKKXPLGLW\

or on rainy days. The water may overflow and drip

from the outdoor side of the unit.

Ŷ7KHIDQPD\UXQHYHQZKHQWKHFRPSUHVVRUGRHVQRW

Ŷ7RHQVXUHPD[LPXPHIILFLHQF\LWLVUHFRPPHQGHGWR

check and see that the rubber Subbase Water Plug is

properly inserted. This plug may be removed during

operation to minimize water in the back of the unit;

however, removing it will lower the efficiency of your

unit.

Ŷ:DWHUGURSOHWVEHLQJWKURZQDJDLQVWWKHRXWVLGH

coils can make a pinging noise. This helps cool the

condenser. You can reduce this noise by opening the

water hole seal located on the lower right side of the

unit. Opening this seal will lower the Energy Efficiency

of your unit.

NOTE: Do not drill hole in the base pan.

Keeping Unit Installed in Winter

Ŷ,I\RXGHFLGHWRNHHS\RXUXQLWLQVWDOOHGDOO\HDUORQJ

the indoor side of your unit may become cold to the

touch when the weather gets cold outside.

Ŷ,I\RXGHWHFWFRRODLUFRPLQJIURP\RXUXQLWRUIURVW

commercially available outdoor covers are sold and will

help mitigate these issues.
