GeneralInformationThewarrantiesprovidedbyBSHHomeAppliancesCorp.inthisStatementofLimited
WarrantyapplyonlytotheBSHVentilationHood(“hood”)andInternalBlowersoldto
you,thefirstusingpurchaser,providedthatthehoodandblowerwerepurchased(1)
foryouruseandnotforresaleand(2)intheUnitedStatesorCanadaandislocatedin
thecountryofpurchase.AsusedinthisStatementofLimitedWarranty,theterm“Date
ofInstallation”shallrefertotheearlierofthedatethehoodandinternalblowerare
installedorten(10)businessdaysafterthedatethehoodandinternalbloweraresold
tothefirstusingpurchaser,thewarrantiesstatedhereinapplyonlytothefirstusing
purchaserandarenottransferable.
StandardLimited
Warranty
StandardLimitedWarrantyBSHwarrantsthatitshoodandinternalblowerarefree
fromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipforaperiodoftwelve(12)monthsfromthe
DateofInstallation.Duringthewarrantyperiod,BSHoritsauthorizedservicecenter
willrepairorreplace,atitssoleoption,anyhoodorinternalblowerthatprovestohave
beendefectiveunderconditionsofnormalusewithoutcharge.Allremovedpartsand
componentsshallbecomethepropertyofBSH,atBSH’soption.Allreplacedand/or
repairedpartsshallassumetheidentityoftheoriginalpartforpurposesofthiswar-
rantyandthiswarrantyshallnotbeextendedwithrespecttosuchparts.
OtherConditionsofthe
LimitedWarranties
OtherConditionsoftheLimitedWarrantiesThewarrantiesprovidedinthisStatement
ofLimitedWarrantyexcludedefectsordamageresultingfrom(1)useofthehoodor
internalblowerinotherthanitsnormalandcustomarymanner(commercialuseofthe
hoodorinternalblowershallnotbedeemednormalorcustomary),(2)misuse,abuse,
accidentsorneglect,(3)improperoperation,maintenance,installationorunauthorized
service,(4)adjustmentoralterationormodificationofanykind,(5)afailuretocomply
withapplicablestate,local,city,andcountyelectricaland/orbuildingcodesand(6)
externalforcessuchasfloods,fires,actsofGodorothercircumstancesbeyond
BSH’scontrol.Alsoexcludedfromthiswarrantyarescratchesanddamagesonexter-
nalsurfacesandexposedpartsofthehoodandinternalbloweronwhichtheserial
numbershavebeenaltered,defacedofremoved.Totheextentallowedbylaw,this
warrantysetsoutyourexclusiveremedieswithrespecttoproductscoveredbyit,
whethertheclaimarisesincontractortort(includingstrictliabilityandnegligence)or
otherwise.BSHwillnotbeliableforconsequentialorincidentaldamages,losses,or
expenses.THISWARRANTYISINLIEUOFALLOTHEREXPRESSWARRANTIES.
ANYWARRANTYIMPLIEDBYLAW,WHETHERFORMERCHANTABILITYORFIT-
NESSFORAPARTICULARPURPOSEOROTHERWISE,SHALLBEEFFECTIVE
ONLYFORTHEPERIODTHATTHISEXPRESSWARRANTYISEFFECTIVE.No
attempttoalter,modify,oramendthiswarrantyshallbeeffectiveunlessauthorizedin
writingbyanofficerofBSH.

NOTICETOCALIFORNIAOWNERSIfyourhoodorinternalblowerneedswarranty
serviceandthereisnoauthorizedBSHservicecenterreasonablyclosetoyou,you
maynotifytheBSHresellerfromwhomyoupurchasedthehoodorinternalblower.If
theBSHresellerfailstorepairorreplacethedefectiveparts,orpartiallyrefundyour
purchaseprice(whereapplicable),youmayhavethehoodorinternalblowerrepaired
atanylargeappliancerepairshoporcenterandyouwillbereimbursedforallreason-
ableexpensesprovidedthecostsaresubstantiatedinwritingandtheworkperformed
iscoveredbythiswarranty.BSHshallnotreimburseanyrepaircostshereunderwhich
exceedthedepreciatedvalueofthehoodorinternalblower.
