MAINTENANCE
Measure again to verify the front tip is now lower than
the rear tip, according to the deck size. If not, continue
to adjust and measure until they are.
NOTE: Deck levelness is factory set and not required as
a regular maintenance item.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
See Figures 25 - 26.
NOTE: Only use RYOBI Electric Riding Lawn Mower 80volt
lithium batteries.
This mower can operate on up to three 80volt battery packs.
The system automatically balances the load between them
during discharge.
NOTE: Used lithium batteries should always be recycled.
Always abide by the safety warnings provided with the bat-
tery packs. Dispose of old batteries according to local and
state regulations.
Move the mower to a level surface. Make sure to set the
parking brake and blade engage knob is down.
Stop the motor and remove the start key.
When removing/replacing an 80 volt battery pack:
Pull out on latch to lift tractor hood.
Remove the storage tray.
Disconnect the battery pack’s quick-connect plug by
squeezing the tabs, releasing it from the battery pack,
and moving it aside. This plug connects/disconnects the
batteries from the mower.
Raise the battery pack from the battery port.
Replace the battery pack or packs as needed by lowering
it into the battery port.
Reinstall the battery pack’s quick-connect plug.
Repeat the steps for additional battery packs if necessary.
Replace the storage tray and lower the tractor hood. Make
sure the hood is securely latched.
For complete charging instructions, refer to the Operator’s
Manuals for your battery packs and charger models.
GREASING TRANSAXLE FITTINGS

The fittings on the front transaxle should be greased every
25 hours of use:
Locate the fittings as shown.
Lubricate with a multi-purpose lithium-based grease.
Wipe off any excess grease.

The following steps should be taken before storing the mower
for the season.
