GREAT BRITISH DESIGN, INNOVATION
AND EXCELLENCE SINCE 1912
Since the turn of the 20th century, Tower has been designing,
developing and manufacturing housewares and small
appliances used by millions of households throughout the
UK and beyond. During the 1960s, the rise in popularity
of pressure cooking saw Tower become the UK’s largest
producer of pressure cookers, right through into the late
1980s. In recent years the Tower brand has been reborn with
an exciting and varied range of housewares and electrical
appliances that have quickly reinstated the brand’s richly
deserved status as a household name.

Read all instructions and safety information carefully before first use. Please retain
this information for future reference.
1. Remove the product from the box.
2. Remove any packaging from the product.
3. Please retain all packaging until you have checked and counted all the parts
and the contents against the parts list.
4. Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.
4 - Before First Use
Assembly:
1. Carefully unpack the vacuum cleaner. Ensure that all parts are included before
discarding the packaging.
2. Connect the floor head to the extendable tube, ensuring the two parts are
firmly secured together.
3. Insert the vacuum cleaner pole into its corresponding slot on the vacuum
handle and twist it slightly to secure it into place.
4. To detach the handle from the dust tank and pole, push the handle release
button located above the dust tank and pull the upper part of the vacuum
cleaner firmly away from the dust tank and pole.
5. To slot the handle back into place after it has been removed, align the two
notches at the top and bottom of the handle with the corresponding brackets
on the back of the dust tank. When the two parts are correctly aligned, slot
the lower part of the handle into its corresponding bracket and push it slightly
down to lock it into place. Once the lower half of the handle has slotted into
place, push the upper half forward and into its corresponding bracket until it
clicks into place. The unit is now ready for normal use.
Extending the Pole:
1. This unit comes complete with an extendable pole, for added reach when
cleaning.
2. To extend the pole, start by pushing the extendable pole lock on the telescopic
tube forward to release the pole latch.
3. Keeping the pole lock pushed forward, gently pull the extendable pole out
from inside the telescopic tube and extend it to the desired length. When
the pole has been extended to its desired length, release the pole lock; it will
automatically click back into place and secure the pole in its current position.
4. To retract the extendable pole, push the pole lock forward once again, to
release the latch. Once the latch is open, push the extendable pole back into
the telescopic tube. When the pole has been retracted fully or to the desired
length, release the pole lock; it will automatically click back into place and
secure the pole in its current position.
Note: Keep the brushes free of fibres, hairs, and other objects that could impede
proper functioning. Always remove these types of objects when the brush picks
them up.

Accessories:
1. The vacuum cleaner comes complete with a bristle brush / crevice tool, ideal
for vacuuming upholstery and delicate surfaces.
2. To attach this accessory to the vacuum cleaner, push it into the main body of
the unit until it clicks into place.
3. To remove this accessory, pull the accessory firmly away from it until it
detaches.
Note: Keep the brushes free of fibres, hairs, and other objects that could impede
proper functioning. Always remove them when it occurs.
Note: This vacuum cleaner works best on smooth surfaces such as wood, ceramic,
tiles and marble. It will also perform well on hard, short-haired carpet. It should
NOT be used on long-haired carpets as the fibres will damage the system.
Problem Possible Solution
The vacuum will not
work
The vacuum may have run out of charge. Charge fully.
This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a motor protective thermo-
stat. If for some reason your vacuum overheats, the thermostat will
automatically turn the suction motor off. Should this occur, allow
it to cool for 1 hour, then empty the dust container and clean all of
the filters.
The vacuum will
not pick-up or the
suction power is
weak
The dust container may be full, or the filters may require cleaning.
Empty the dust container and clean the filters.
Dust is escaping
from the vacuum
The filter may not be installed correctly, or the dust container may
be full. Empty the dust container and refit the filter.
