beatthesamerelativepositiontoensureuniformcut.
Before Starting
1. Servicetheenginewithgasolineandoil asinstructed
in theseparateenginemanual.
2. Attachsparkplugwireto sparkplug. If unitis
equippedwitha rubberbootovertheend ofthespark
plugwire,makecertainthemetalloopon theend of
thesparkplugwire(insidetherubberboot)isfastened
securelyoverthemetaltipon thesparkplug.
3. Beforeeachuse,checkforproperdriveclutchopera-
tionbyperformingthefollowingbeforestartingthe
engine:
a. Withthedrivecontrolreleased,pushmower
forward.Itshouldmovefreely.Pullmowerback-
ward.Itshouldmovewithonlya smallamountof
resistance.
If itdoesnottheclutchmaynotbereleasing
completely.Donotstarttheengineuntilcorrections
havebeenmade.Checkthecontrolcablefor
severebend,kinksandbinding.Alsocheckfor
grassbuild-uparoundthebelt.
