What is happening?

There is probably an accumulation of burnt food residue

ontheCookingSurfaces.Thisisnormal,especiallywhen

cookingwithsugar.Allowtheappliancetocoolfully,pour

onalittlecookingoilandletsitfor5–10minutes.Scrubthe

CookingSurfacewithaspongeorsoftbristledbrushto

dislodge food. Use a damp, soapy cloth to wipe down the

CookingSurface.Rinsetheclothandwipeagain.Iffood

remains,pouronmorecookingoilandletsitforafew

hours, then scrub and wipe clean.
