separate installationinstructionsprovidedwith this manual. Save this manual and the
installationinstructionsfor possiblefuture usein removingor reinstallingthisunit.

Be sure the air conditioner is properlygrounded.To minimizeshockand fire hazards,
propergroundingisimportant.The powercord isequippedwith a three-pronggrounding
plugforprotectionagainstshockhazards.
Yourair conditionermustbe used in a properlygroundedwall receptacle. Ifthe wall
receptacleyouintendtouseisnotadequatelygroundedorprotectedbyatimedelayfuse
or circuitbreaker,havea qualifiedelectricianinstalltheproperreceptacle.
Do not runair conditionerwithouttheoutside protectivecover in place. This could
resultin mechanicaldamagewithin theairconditioner.

The powersupplycord contains a currentdevicethatsensesdamagetothepowercord. To
testyourpowersupplycord dothefollowing:
1. PlugintheAirConditioner.
2. The powersupplycord willhaveTWO buttonsonthe plughead. Pressthe TEST button.
Youwill noticea clickas the RESET buttonpopsout.
3. PresstheRESET button.Againyouwillnoticea clickas the buttonengages.
4. The powersupplycord isnowsupplyingelectricitytotheunit.(Onsomeproductsthisis
also indicatedbya lighton theplughead).
NOTES:
Do notusethisdevicetoturnthe uniton oroff.
AlwaysmakesuretheRESET buttonispushedinforcorrect operation.
The powersupplycord mustbe replacedifitfails to resetwheneithertheTEST buttonis
pushed,oritcannotbe reset.Anewonecanbe obtainedfromtheproductmanufacturer.
Ifpowersupplycord isdamaged, itCANNOT be repaired.It MUST be replacedbyone
obtainedfromtheproductmanufacturer.
