CHARGING BATI'ERY PACK
See Figure1.
The battery packfor thistool has been shippedina low
chargeconditionto preventpossibleproblems. Therefore,
you should charge it at least 3 to 6 hours prior to use.
Note: Batteries willnot reach full charge the first time they
are charged, Allowseveral cycles(drillingfollowed by
recharging)for them to become fully charged.
TO CHARGE
• Charge battery pack onlywith the charger and
charging stand provided.
• Make sure power supply is normal house voltage,
120 volts, 60 Hz, AC only,
• Connect charger to power supply.
• Place battery pack in charging stand. Align raised rib on
battery pack with groove in charging stand. See Figure
1.
• Press down on battery pack to be sure contacts on
battery pack engage properly with contacts in charging
stand.
• When properly connected, the red light on charging
stand will turn on.
• Note: Ifchargerdoes notchargebatterypack,retumbattery
pack,chargingstand,and chargerto yournearestSears
RepairCenterforelectricalcheck.
• After normalusage, 3 hoursofchargingtime isrequiredto be
fully charged.A minimumchargetime of3 to 6 hoursis
requiredtorechargea completelydischargedtool.
• The battery pack will become slightly warm to the touch
while charging. This is normal and does not indicate a
problem,
• Do not place charger in an area of extreme heat or
cold. It will work best at temperatures between 50°F -
100°F.
• When batteries become fully charged, unplug charger
from power supply and remove the battery pack.
