Installing under a counter
Installing in an alcove or closet
If you install your washer in an alcove or closet, with a dryer or without, the front of
the closet must have two unobstructed air openings for a combined minimum
total area of 120 sq. in. (774 sq. cm) with a minimum clearance of 3 in. (7.6 cm) at
the top and bottom. A slatted door with equivalent clearance space is acceptable.
