In the next example, the same box dimensions are used except
the exit tting now creates a pipe exit horizontally instead of
vertically. The entry tting angle of 43.44° and pipe length of
39 and 15/16 inches remain the same since the dimensions in
this example are the same (if they were different, steps 1 and 2
on the previous pages could be repeated to calculate them).
However, by re-orienting the box dimensions to show the
Advance on the same plane as the horizontal exit tting
(Diagram 3), the exit tting angle can easily be solved using the
Rolling Offset feature.
