Installation Instructions
[] CONNECT THE TUBING TO THE
REFRIGERATOR
NOTES:
Before making tile connection to tile refrigerator,
be sure the refrigerator, po_er cord is not l)lugged,,
into tile _all outlet.
We recommend installing a water filter if y(mr
water supply has sand or })articles that could clog
the screen of the refrigerator's water _;dve. Install
it in the water line near the refrigerator. If using
GE SmartConnect _ P.efl'igerator Tubing kit,
you will need an additional tube (_VX08X10002)
to connect the filter. Do not cut plastic tube to
install filter.

Remo_e the plastic flexible cap from the water
valve @efrigerator c(mnection).

Place the compression nut and feriule (sleeve)
onto the end of the tubing as shown. On GE
SmartConnect _ Refi'igerator Tubing kit,
the nuts are already assembled to the tubing.
Insert the end ot the robing into the water valve
connection as tar as possible. While holding the
tubing, tighten the fitting.
For plastic robing fl'om a GE SmartConnect ''_
Refi'igerator Tubing kit, insert the molded end
of the tubing into the shutoff _;dve and tighten
compression ntlt tmtil it is hand tight, then
tighten one additional mrn with a wrench.
Overtightening may cause leaks.
[] CONNECT THE TUBING TO THE
REFRIGERATOR (CONT.)
Fasten tile robing into tile clamp proxided to
hold it in a xertical position. You may need to
pr) open tile clamp.

cmmection on your refrigerator.

[] TURN THE WATER ON AT THE
SHUTOFF VALVE
Tighten any connections that leak.
Reattach tile access coxer.
