ALCI Safety Device
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME YOU USE DRYER.
This hairbrush is provided with an Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), this
safety feature that renders the tool inoperable under some abnormal conditions, such
as accidental immersion in water.
To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly, and the exclusive water sensing system
is working, perform the following test:
1. Plug in the brush and press the test button on plug.
2. Brush will stop functioning. There will be an audible click and the reset button will
pop out.
3. To reset: ALCI with a reset button: Unplug unit. Then push reset button in, then
reinsert into outlet.
4. Be sure to repeat test every time you use this dryer to confirm the ALCI is opera-
tional.
5. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return the dryer to nearest service center.
6. If a water immersion occurs, contact manufacturer immediately for examination
and repair.
User-Maintenance Instructions
The maintenance of hair dryer is free, no consumption or lubrication is needed. Keep
this appliance clean for proper operating. Never block or clog air intakes, otherwise
overheat will happen. The appliance has no user serviceable parts. Any other servicing
should be performed by an authorized service representative or a professional center.
Never allow the supply cord to be twisted, pulled, bent, or wrapped around the dryer.
If the cord is twisted, untwist the cord before use. When not in use, this appliance
should be stored in a safe, dry place, out of children’s reach.
PRODUCT COMPLIANCE
All electrical products from Sultra are subjected to independent compliance testing
by government and USA-approved bodies. They all comply with Household Electric
Personal Grooming Appliances.
USE
This appliance is intended solely for use as a hairstyling aid and should only be used
for this purpose. It must only be used with products specifically designed for use with
a heated hairstyling appliance.
SECURITY
To be certain that you are buying a genuine Sultra product you should only purchase
your Sultra products from an approved retailer. Please remember to keep your original
proof of purchase.
HOLOGRAMS
Unique holograms are applied to the body and power cord of Sultra appliances,
which cannot be copied. They contain registered identification codes that enable
Sultra to authenticate genuine Sultra products. If you discover that a hologram has
been defaced or removed, notify the Sultra immediately at 877.2SULTRA (278-5872)
or [email protected]. To check the authenticity of your Sultra appliances
follow the instructions in the Authentication section.
AUTHENTIFICATION
To ensure that you have purchased a genuine Sultra product, an additional security
feature on the Sultra website enables you to enter the serial number referenced on
the tool. You will receive immediate confirmation as to whether your appliance is a
genuine Sultra product. Visit sultra.com and follow the online registration instructions.
If this process does not authenticate your product, please contact Sultra Customer

PRODUCT DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL USERS
When you have no further use for your Sultra appliance, please dispose of it according
to your local authority’s recycling procedure. For more information, contact your local
authority or the retailer from whom you purchased the product.
LIMITED WARRANTY • U.S., Canada, and Mexico
Your new Sultra (“Sultra”) appliance has been manufactured too the highest quality
standards and when used in accordance with the safety and operating instructions
will provide you with effective, reliable service.
WARRANTY COVERAGE
Sultra’s warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below. Sultra warrants
its products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twenty-four
(24) months from the date of original retail purchase provided that all warranty
guidelines are met, including product registration on sultra.com. If a defect exists,
Sultra shall exchange the product with a product that is refurbished and at least the
functional equivalent to the original product (or in Sultra’s absolute discretion the
product may be repaired). A replacement product assumes the remaining warranty of
the original product. When a product is exchanged, any replacement item becomes
your property, and the replaced item becomes Sultra’s property.
OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE
To obtain service under the Warranty, please call Sultra Customer Service at
877.2SULTRA (278-5872) (or e-mail Sultra at customerser[email protected]), and you
will be provided with return instructions and a Return Authorization Number. You will
be required to return the original product and to provide a brief written description
of the problem you are having, the original proof of purchase, your name, current
address, and telephone number. Please remember to clearly mark the Return Authori-
zation Number on the outer packaging when returning the defective product to Sultra!
EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS
This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured by or for Sultra that
can be identified by the “Sultra” trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them.
The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-Sultra product even if packaged or
sold with Sultra products. Non-Sultra manufacturers and suppliers may provide their
own warranties. This Limited Warranty does not cover: (1) damage due to misuse or
abuse (including but not limited to using the product with an incorrect voltage supply),
dropping, or other operation in violation of the written safety precautions provided
with the product; or (2) tampering, such as the unauthorized repair or attempted
repair of the product.
SULTRA LIMITED WARRANTIES ARE ONLY VALID FOR THEIR ORIGINAL END USER AND
ONLY IF BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING ARE MET: (1) THE PRODUCT WAS PURCHASED
FROM AN AUTHORIZED SULTRA RESELLER; AND (2) THE PRODUCT WAS REGISTERED
WITH SULTRA VIA ITS ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS AT SULTRA.COM WITHIN 21
DAYS OF ITS ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE.
SULTRA WARRANTIES ARE VOID: (1) IF THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT SERIAL NUMBERS
HAVE BEEN REMOVED OR OTHERWISE TAMPERED WITH; (2) THE PRODUCT WAS USED
WITH OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH A NON SULTRA ATTACHMENT OR ADD ON PRODUCT;
OR (3) IF SULTRA’S RETURN POLICIES HAVE NOT BEEN FOLLOWED.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND
IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL
OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS, OR IMPLIED. SULTRA SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF SULTRA CANNOT
LAWFULLY DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, ALL
SUCH WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS
WARRANTY. NO SULTRA RESELLER, AGENT, OR EMPLOYEE IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE
ANY MODIFICATION, EXTENSION, OR ADDITION TO THIS WARRANTY.
SULTRA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUEN-
TIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR
UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS.
SULTRA SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT REPRESENT THAT IT WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR ANY
PRODUCT UNDER THIS WARRANTY.
Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental
or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied
warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that
vary by state or province.
