3. Installation and Setup
3.2 Internal Battery Connection Procedure for S3M30KX, S3M40KIX, S3M60KX and
S3M80KX Models
DANGER! LETHAL HIGH VOLTAGE HAZARD!
Potentially lethal high voltage exists within the batteries, even when not connected to a UPS system. Battery
connection should be performed by qualified service personnel only, following all the precautions listed in this manual
and adhering to local electrical codes. Refer to section 2.3 Battery Warnings.
Internal Battery Connection Procedure
1) Remove all screws labeled 1 (Figure 3.1).
2) Remove top plate, right side and left side plates (Figure 3.2).
